This is Buff and Fellow Eco Game Farm @buffandfellow and is conveniently situated just 10km from the George Airport. We had an opportunity to experience it last week.
Old shipping containers have been converted into luxurious eco-friendly cabins (2), pods (2), and coconuts (2). All the units are built on the edge of a beautiful dam overlooking the majestic Outeniqua Mountains. You will also spot rhinos, buffalos, and other wildlife while relaxing in the wood-fired hot tub or walking around the property.
THINGS TO SEE AND DO AROUND THE FARM
1. BUFFALO TOUR - Watch Buffalos being fed and experience these magnificent creatures up close. Complimentary coffee and rusks are included. Please book in advance.
2. INDIAN CANOES - Row a boat gently down the farm stream. Free for guests to use anytime.
3. RED BARN TASTINGS - Their Red Barn hosts the perfect ambiance for a wine or beer tasting. A minimum of 8 people is required and booking is essential.
4. FARM FRESH EGGS - Collect your own eggs from their chicken coop in the morning.
5. GATHER ROUND THE BONFIRE - This is a perfect place to bond around a crackling bonfire with family and friends.
6. VEGGIE GARDEN - They grow their own organic vegetables. You are welcome to help yourself but be kind and leave a tip for their gardener.
7. BASS FISHING - Bring your own fishing gear - Their dam is full of Black Bass and other species. Please note that it’s strictly catch and release.
