I love watching your birds. One has so much energy and the other is so chilled out. I wish mine would sit on my hand or shoulder. He is very skidish. Love the cage and I bet you made it, plus the swings. Maybe mine needs a friend.

My budgies Bob and Jenny love watching and hearing Kiki and Fiona. You have done extremely well getting them to play so well, well done. Bob and Jenny are older birds that spent several years in an aviary, it's taking longer to teach them to play and interact, Jenny is nearly blind, so I've had to ensure she feels secure and confident finding her way around as a priority! Bob is a great partner, he calls to her if she gets out of his sight so that she can go to him, or he goes to her. I'd like to get them sitting on my shoulder, they are still reluctant to sit on my finger for long. I use the usual techniques that I used when I was young, breed and showed budgies. It's a great help to ask experienced people for advice, and you are obviously well experienced, would you advise me, please? They have started to talk.

I'm sorry about your parrot but I'm also glad he has a wonderful partner. As for sitting on my shoulder, I’ve never done anything about it. It's just that Kiki gained his trust over time and started coming to my head and shoulders. Thanks for following me, I'm glad you like my content.💜

Walk slowly and talk softly when you're near them, see Kiki and his Dad, no fast movements. Put small treats near them, sit next to them when you're reading having a cup of tea. Have some pieces of millet to offer, l hold a small piece up to the bars, let them take the millet one at a time. They will be slow to start, when they get used to taking the millet, through the bars start offering it inside the cage. Watch Kiki and his Dad in the video's, how Dad moves slowly and moves his hands slowly. Never scare them by moving your hands quickly near the cage.
