Thank you so much for making this video, I've been looking at doing the exact same thing to my Smittybilt 2780.
Thank you very much for this informative video. It's exactly what I was looking for ! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge .
That's a sweet setup! Nice job man!
Excellent solution. Air switch will work good with a small tank for me to clean chainsaws out. Save the hassle of a switch in conjunction with a separate battery for appliances.
Nice work, looks great and functional
Nice alternative option. Definitely going to replicate for my raptor
Nice clean setup and good price. Thanks

How many cycles does it go through to top off all 4 tires?
it may be budget but it looks well made, if I were you I'd add a 1/2 gallon tank, they are pretty cheap and it would give you a bit of a reserve before the pump kicks on, otherwise it looks mint.

Once u do all that work heck no. Get 1.5 gallon or larger tank and use all high pressure hose lines at 120 cut in 150psi cut out. Can run air tools and blow gun. None of that push on plastic hose crap. Also get a high end compressor i got the 480c. 1 gallon will work and I'm using it but it's barely enough.
Nice.
Nice wood like to do some thing similar on my truck thank's
nice💪

Nice job! I have a retrax tonn cover that rolls into a canister at the top of the bulkhead. I’m thinking of mounting a viair compressor and small tank to the bulkhead beneath that canister. Have you been happy with the noise level from compressor? I’m concerned it will vibrate the bed and be too loud.
@NSQGarage

It is pretty loud. I would try to get a model that has some good rubber feet so it mitagates that. I think the smittybilts would work better. The sound also seems to amplify in the cab. Not really an issue unless the baby is sleeping lol.
I don't understand the point of the pressure switch, like those couple of second before the connect to another tire. I wanna do the same but with a adjustable pressure switch. Connect the tire set the pressure and wait for it turn off. Can also then get hose to connect all four tires at once. That's the plan. Do let us know reasons for the pressure switch? Keep the videos coming!

I did it because I didn't like the idea of the compressor running all the time. Admittedly, it is probably and unnecessary complication.

The switches are mounted onto some 90 degree aluminum. The box that holds the relay is in the description along with the air chucks.

no air tank! its an on-demand system. the relay triggers the pump whenever you use the air. i think those switches were just some generic ones off of amazon

Hey man your setup looks like what Im trying to do with a smittybilt 2781. Did you run your power to the starter or do you have constant power? Nice truck BTW. I have a 2019 STX 3.5 and absolutely love it. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

I ran my power to the battery so that I could use it at any time, even with the truck off. The other option would be to find switched power somewhere and use an add-a-fuse.
Nice. But needs a tank.

I see you are using a pressure switch. Exactly what is building pressure, i don't see any tank. What causes the system to reach the desired PSI?
@NSQGarage
3 жыл бұрын
The pump builds pressure in the line and then quickly shuts off
Just curious, whats the point of the pressure cut off switch if you're not using a tank?
@NSQGarage
Күн бұрын
You do it so the pump does not run continuously. Without the cutoff, the pump would run until the air fittings, air lines or pump were to fail.
Do you have a tank or just running off the pump?

@@NSQGarage nice i want to to the same thing. Im in New York and we drive on the beach all the time. do you know roughly how long it takes you to air a tire back up? Also is there a tank associated wiht that compressor? i see it has the regulator. Thanks for your help
@NSQGarage

@@fallyyerr8170 this was a tankless set up with "on demand" air. As far as time goesz it depends on what pressure you are going down to and how big your tires are. @@ujayet hmm I don't think so. I think blowing air uses a ton of flow. This pump only has 1.47 CFM. I don't think a larger pump could keep up either. What you could do is store a full tank and refill it before you hit the trails.
