That is a really good idea, prices have definitely gone up right? I am thinking of some one pot meals so may make those and see if I can make them budget friendly too :)

Hehe, good spot - you know your prices! The mayo was the lowest price because it was the small tub at my shop... but I do just love that peanut butter 😜😬

Hello :) so glad you liked the video. I cooked most of this food in a bigger portion to eat over a number of meals. So one night I would have stir fry then have it for lunch the day after etc. Soup on a few of the days. I didn't do this as a challenge, just to show how to make food for the week to portion out for one person on a budget. I gave some of the food to friends (I think - I made this video a while ago). I don't know that this is still R188 with food cost increases, but hopefully still some good ideas to stretch your budget.

Such an interesting question Carika. I think it would depend on how each person made their meals. Like the amount of peanut butter on the toast, mayo in the slaw, oil in the stirfry etc. If you made extra flatbreads or added more noodles to your stirfry.
