Budget & Free TRX-4 mods for better performance, climbing and trailing

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

RC doesn't have to be expensive and blingy, it's easy to get a bit of extra performance out of a TRX-4 without spending tens or hundreds of dollars. All you need is a few velcro straps, some scissors and a sharp knife. If you happen to have a Dremel and some spacers knocking about they'll come in handy too.
The mods in this video also apply to other platforms like Axial's SCX10, GMade's GS02 and really any modern crawler. The principles are the same: get the weight low, get the weight forward and get the weight off!

It was completed a few days ago and ran it this weekend. It’s a huge improvement but there’s so much more to gain!

simply.... thanks for sharing your delightful insights...I do wonder what you were referring to regarding the longer shocks... was that only for the rear, given the new slant? thanks. Matthew

I usually use either equal shocks or rears 2-4mm longer and set up the rears for the most articulation and the fronts as soft and up/down as possible for steering accuracy

very few videos on trx4 g500 mod. keep it coming sir! when you lower the body, do you need to trim the front bumper?

Thanks! I didn’t, it kind of squishes the shell so it’s harder to get the body pins but the shell is compressed against where it mounts. So it’s lower and tighter which is great for when you’re being a bit rowdy and rolling it a lot

Not sure. I got it cheap in a sale on Tamico.de so maybe they were moving old stock. It's 3-4 year old platform and mines been very reliable so far so not too bothered.

@@idjoel2000 I bought my g500 in October of last year and it came with clear Windows. I purchased it directly from Traxxas.
