regarding sound quality alone you mentionned differences but can you spot x1 from dc03 pro in a blind test or do they sound 99% identical ? for iem both are more than enough but you forgot to mention for users with hard to drive full size cans that x1 is 370mW and dc03pro is only 98mW

there are definitley just subtle difference that i had to go back and forth to pinpoint, so in a blind test itd be nearly identical imo. and yeah thats fair for powering full size cans, but i dont have any persoanlly that require more power. plus this video was specifically focused on the hype of IEMs and how dac/amps play a role in that for gaming only

Hello. is it worth taking x1? or would you recommend something else?

If you could pick one USB DAC and a set of IEMs for less than $200 what combo would you use for in game audio? I don’t care about music for this setup. I play a variety of games and really want something that separates the sounds when things get busy and doesn’t get muddled or boomy. Keep up the good work!!

Well like I said in the video this is my first dive into gaming audio... So I haven't tested enough to say definitively which combo is best. For now I'm using the iBasso and my TRN TA1 Max IEMs, it's like $100 total between the two . For IEMs I'd experiment with a few but the dac/amp I'm using is pretty well received by audiophiles and it's a crazy good price point . Glad you enjoy the videos tho 🙏❤️

You are literally the only person with this dac who uses it for gaming hahaha Great content, thanks a lot I searched so hard for someone reviewing the DC03Pro for gaming and finally I found you, I'm really looking forward to buy one to pair with my Truthear ZERO, do you think it would be a good pair for gaming? I play mainly Escape from Tarkov, Apex and Valorant. Could you give me more details? Mainly about the wideness of sound and the accuracy of sound? Another question, would you recommend any other DAC in this price range for gaming?

haha glad you found the video then :) but Im by no means an expert of DAC/Amps , just experimenting and learning as I go. Ive been using this one for gaming since the video and its been a joy in every game to be honest. I think DAC/AMPS will slightly elevate and clean up what your IEMs or headphones already produce. So if they have a decent soundstage and imagine this will lift it a touch more. Like I said in the video its not something thats a night and day difference but for $50 its inexpensive enough as a little upgrade over your computers built in dac

I have been eyeballing the zero but i wanna ask do you use it with a cable that has a mic ?? And if yes which cable do you use ?? There is too many options for cables but i dont wanna make a mistake, thanks in advance.

Do you have some static sound on your DC03PRO? Mine would have some static sound occasionally when there are a lot of things happening on a game, and there are even times where the sound would completely go off and i need to unplug the dac and plug it in back again. But overall that's my only negative on the DC3PRO, makes my truthear ZERO louder which is a godsent.

Hmmm definitely no static or having to unplug them , see if you can warranty it? Also try downloading the Android app if you can, it's quite nice maybe you can change settings to tinker with it.

This dac is really flat/neutral...you pay for the capability to playback hi res audio..if not just use the built in jack or the cheap one.

I have the x1 and the creative app is not recognizing it

interesting, i was about to start looking at some then found this video. going to get the dc3 pros. is the gsr-se rouge good? i've had mine for about 3 months and i'm interested in hearing your thoughts on it.

@@UpgradeLemonade I went for the lgg mercury because I wanted something a bit faster that didn't wear down as fast. Thinking of trying the Zowie GTF-X next year to see if I want an Artisan Raiden next year or not. Anyways, my mom measured my hands using a measuring tape in cm earlier this year and she got 20.5cm x 10.5cm. I remeasured them using a 6ft measuring tape I have in my room and got 7.5in x 3.5in which is about 19.05cm x 9.14cm. The reason why I'm looking for a new mouse is because the g305 feels a bit small and my hand hurts. Would something like the Viper Mini be good?

@@ApparentlyPeter thats all going to depend on how you grip the mouse, how long you play, what type of games etc. look up the website eloshapes.com , you can compare all sorts of mice by shape/dimensions. The viper mini and g305 are very similar on paper dimensions, but they position the curves differently. so maybe itll be better?

I feel like if you tested the x1 using "stock" settings, with all of the features turned off, then maybe you are missing the point of the product? The iBasso review was better, you clearly liked that one more. I had not heard of the iBasso and your review has caused me to take a closer look. Thanks!
