Agree overall. But crossbow shotbolt is fantastic. OHKO at extreme range arms and legs, wallbangs, and gives more ammo from crates than only default bolts.

imo derringer pennyshot is pretty good in tool slot, if bring ammo box or find special ammo around lair it does most the work. Can bring sticky too if want it dead asap. I usually just use my shots and still if can get one from tool boxes. If you are solo you could also just kill it with a bundle at your feet and rez.

pick up world axes and hammers from wagons near boss, I usually go for the explosive boxes during the event thats running right now

super cheap and the sway is non existent. the other winnies are great too even with their sway. can't really go wrong

the games and content was made before the marathon came out. the marathon, like you said, is one of the best budget guns in the game for sure

Wanna know my budget build? Pick legendary hunter, bring nothing but a medkit, get necro resilience and adrenaline. Find a weapon in the world (it's not very hard, even just a melee works) Since the MMR system is fucking stupid you're going to be pitted against people that are much less skilled than you, so getting a kill with a spawned melee aint too hard and after one kill you just steal the loadout. You die? Necro spam, lower your MMR so you get pitted against even less skilled players. You lose the match? You won cause your MMR is lower now and you have even more of an advantage. You win the match? Congrats you got contraband weapons plus whatever money you earned in the match. My point is that I think solos have it way too easy now and no matter what you do, you're getting something positive out of a match, unless you're bringing expensive loadouts every time and even then you can survive out of BS because of the stupid self-revive that shouldnt even be a thing on the first place.

I played a match last night. Third wheel left because he used is stim shot to soon. This game is going to destroy itself. Streamers are good for advertising but horrible for keeping players
