Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Vintage lenses on modern digital cameras can produce some amazing creative photographs, but not all vintage glass is the same. Therefore, how does the Pentax 50mm f2 extremely budget lens perform on the modern Sony A7 II mirrorless camera? Check out the video to see sample images of how this modern camera and vintage lens performed, and my thoughts after using them. If you have any experience with this lens or any other favorite vintage 50mm lenses let me know about it in the comments.

I recently sold my Pentax-M 50mm 1.7 after using it for a year adapted to a m43 camera. Pros: Really sharp between 2.8-8.0 Excellent build quality. Easy to focus. Lightweight. Cheap. Very filmlike result at 1.7 Cons: Soft and low contrast at 1.7 Color fringing at large apertures. And the biggest con - hexagonal shaped bokeh balls at any aperture except 1.7

Thank you for the comment and your experience with the 50 1.7. I could see the hexagonal bokeh being an issue, especially you don't want it.

I have the 55 F/1.8 M42 mount Pentax adapted to GFX, and it does surprisingly well. It is a bit of my therapy lens after lugging around 2 or 3 KG of lenses all week. I paid about $20 for that lens, and recently picked up the Pentax 135mm F/2.8 for $2. I needed to open it and clean out some mold, but it's working again surprisingly well now, especially for $2.

Thank you for the comment. The 55 sounds interesting, especially on a GFX camera. Good to know, since I shoot with the the GFX system as well. The GF lenses can definitely get heavy after carrying them around for a bit.

@@marshalljvanderhoofphoto Yeah, the 55 is nice. Vignette is non existent in many cases (f stop and lighting dependent). The 135 also has no real vignette, and that lens is very sharp. I need a new copy of the asahi 200mm 5.6 as I have that lens but it didn't survive my last internal cleaning. It has very pleasing colors has one of my favorite focusing rings (butter smooth) and is known to be very sharp too, plus for a 200mm it's tiny. Not sure yet if it covers the gfx sensor as I was just using it on micro 4/3rd years back.

I have a couple of them and the f series lense is my favorite. I use the pentax on my K-50. Works great.
