In Vietnam, there is a saying that “A man without spirits is like a flag without wind”.
Beer in Vietnam has had a legacy since the colonial period and became a popular drink among Vietnamese people to this day.
As Vietnam's economy expanded, people had more purchasing power and beer became a popular alternative to local spirits.
This is a big opportunity for the local beer business, to grow and catch the attention in Vietnam.

The translation of what the Vietnamese man said at the end of the video is not very accurate. What he exactly said was: "Firstly, Bia hoi is fresh beer. When you drink it, you can taste its flavour right away on the tip of your tongue. It's not the same as glass bottle beer which needs additional ice (Don't be surprised since adding ice in your beer is a normal thing in Vietnam). Therefore, it's feel like Bia hoi can immediately cool down the summer heat. That's a common cultural habit of the Northern region. For that reason it has a very good taste."

Another nice insight team! Truly delighted to know this!
Not everyone is rich enough to drink beer in Vietnam. One days wage is $9USD
I was in Vietnam for 3 weeks and drank a lot of beer. I think a lot of Vietnamese beer is on the lighter side. Tiger, bia Sài Gòn, bia lạc, Even Heineken
I wonder if they love beer more than South Africans!
Alcohol is the worst drug of all
