88 pounds for a family of five is amazing quite frankly. Mine is double that with tons of fresh fruit and veggies....salads being number one. We aren't big meat eaters. I remember when the boys were young and always hungry I spent a fortune!! Children tend to eat a lot!

I was impressed I got it for 88! Some weeks it costs more. Me and my hubby would quite happily have salads all the time, but my fussy bums won't eat it, and they also really like their meat. Have tried more veggie options in the past, but it just goes to waste, so I have to please the masses 😂xx

It always amazes me how you remember the prices of everything. Next time I do my shop I’m re watching this as there are some good ideas in here! My boys don’t like the pre done jelly… if I make it they love it. I want to try the sausage patties on muffins with my eldest I reckon he would love! I want to try the waffles on my kids for weekends. I think I need to jazz up there weekend breakfasts. My kids have the same thing every day lol. Great haul and so cheap!! I’m glad I’m not the only one who calls our hubbys “the husband” 😂 Those fruit chews look yummy. Happy early birthday lily 🥰 x

Hey Claire, I as an American enjoyed the weekend of July 4th (Independence Day). 🇺🇲🎇🎆 I ate cheeseburgers, hotdogs, grilled chicken and baked beans from the barbecue. 🍔🌭🍗 I drank lemonade. I used my fancy, round condiment squeeze bottles to squeeze Heinz ketchup and French's mustard on my burgers and hotdogs. I watched the televised fireworks specials, live from the District of Columbia, New York City and Boston.

How do you cope going aldi, they just chuck the food at you, regardless if there is a queue behind you or not.. Am going to go in next with a false bandage on hand and see if that slows the cashier down.. 😀

Really? I prefer getting them in aldi, they're much cheaper than in the other stores

This is not a criticism of you or your children just a general observation of most children’s fussiness around food items which personally I find infuriating! e.g from your blog, was it Charlie who says that particular pizza is too saucy , ( I’ve heard this before) yet then proceed to cover everything in tomato sauce!! and was it Lily who you said doesn’t like salted caramel yoghurts but likes the biscuits!! It drives me mad because it just doesn’t make sense! I know kids swear blind they know when something is different, who knows, they seem to have very sophisticated palettes. At least the children are eating though and you are a very patient parent adhering to their likes/dislikes x
