Detailing is one of those things hard to get motivated, but once you start, you can't stop.

Started using the orbital sander (without the sanding disc) on the carpets to shake all the sand and dirt out and suck up with the vac - before using the little green - works a treat!

Those wet vacuums are awesome. I admit I don’t get mine out as often as I should but I smile every time I do.

Cool very cool 👍 I have a G8 BF Fairlane the last they made in Australia. They manufactured only 153 and sadly 59 are at least known to have been destroyed right off bla bla but a real shame. But I’ve taken me time and saved some good money bringing her up to show room condition. She has 98,072 kms. I’m really proud how nice they looked when brand new. SWEET CHEERS 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️👍👍👍🍻🍻

Save your money buying retail brands like Meguires and just getn5 litres of water based degreaser. Septone brand is easy to get and works well. As a general rule of thumb, mix 10:1 for cleaning engine bays, door jambs, carpets seats etc. if you use a carpet cleaning machine, add a couple of drops of tyre shine. The silicone is a antifoaming agent. Adjust ratio as required. For door jambs and door cards, we just spray the whole lot with degreaser and hit with the high pressure cleaner. If seats and carpets are really dirty, pull them out and wash with the high pressure cleaner. Oh and don’t throw you micro fibres out, wash them with degreaser in the washing machine.

I also have an NC V8 as my daily. Mine gets even worse treatment, being in Tassy, It tows trailer loads of firewood out of the bush for 9 months of the year. I love this car, but for some reason I'm the only one in the family who does, guess its a driver thing.

That iron eater looks like it’s sold in the United States. Where can u get it in Australia. I only found something sold in super cheap but it’s in a small bottle.

The NC is the best looking plastic bumpered Fairlane, but unfortunately, I don’t have room for it. I’d love a junker done up as a NYC taxi with police issue steel rims lol

How do you dry the carpet? Removing carpets makes it easier to dry once wet carpets in cars stinks and bad for rust

Hello mark. I had my CM Chrysler at the crash shop a while ago now for a small dent repair,he said to me at the time, what polish are you using as upon painting I had fish eyes everywhere! I told him I am using a Bowdens own paint cleaner/polish, he said stop using it as it’s got heaps of silicone in it,just like you said! Out of curiosity, what car polish do you use with no silicone? I will try it. Thank you
