Gst is forever and will only increase and not decrease. No amt of such payout is ever sufficient.. GST is up 2% during this term but all other daily needs products prices increases more than 10%. Do your maths..

Yea thats right,1 pack of frozen whole chicken cost $4-$5 before cny,yesterday check it cost $7,$2-$3 increase!!! Ntuc some more, so the 1% increase the price goes so high

Yes, some families with children and an elderly needs more help. My brother with 2 kids needed to use it so I gave mine to my mom every year so that she can go to the coffee shops and consumed it. So, if I keep everything for my own family to utilise then my mom will get kosong.

Another thing, prices have risen alot, that is the truth and all these carbon tax does hurt the man on the street. All these increases does impact people and I have an MP who is nowwhere to be seen but I guess she will be seen when election is around the corner.

Nah, Heartland cdc vouchers become a challenge In new estates with no heartland shops, hawker center, coffee shops!! I have to spend $ on transport fare just to travel to old estates to patronize from heartland shops, hawker center/coffee shops!!

Ya! Prices increased so much that a plate of horfun in the neighborhood coffee shop costs $5.30, after $5 voucher, I still need to top up 30cents. The more vouchers, or food stamps given out, the more prices increased 😓

My elderly neighbor kept asking me when,exactly is the:CDC vouchers?!!!

I calculate the property tax and personal income I have to pay will increase even with new changes like 50% income tax rebate but capped at $200. Sounds nice but I still will have less cash to take home if add GST increase becoz shops will add prices too so end up pay more and less personal savings for 2025.

Give us money and take back double.

Not the 1st time. After 2016 election, they silently let bto price increased by around 100k through land price. When complained few years later, they increased subsidy by 20k near the next election, overall there is still an effective increase of 80k. Now, they are repeating the same before the next election. The benefits given in this package feel almost like they pay you back 6 months of instalments. Then, take it back via GST increase and so on.

I recently heard this question from a retiree. He said he seldom leave his flat and he is mostly at home and he very seldom uses his CDC vouchers. This retiree ask if he were to make this proposal to a shopkeeper, that is if the retiree never buy anything from his shop and he lets the shopkeeper scan $250 CDC vouchers from his handphone screen and in exchange for the $250 CDC vouchers, the shopkeeper give $220 cash to the retiree (meaning the shopkeeper earns $30 from this exchange), the retiree ask if he were to really do this exchange of his $250 CDC vouchers for $220 cash with a shopkeeper, is this an offence or not??

How about not introducing an increase in GST. The Government could safe the $600 in the reserves. Last time I bought noodles only $2.50 now it is $5.00. Just multiply it with 30 days and it will be $150 per month. Then your $150 X 2 meals. It shows that your amount could last only for 2 months maximum.

Why does Singapore create it's unique weird convoluted system of taxation? Like with the social housing, so many streams.. it benefits people in specific circumstances disproportionately. Makes me wonder whether the government is very naive but lucky that Singapore still does well despite poor governance.

Instead of the Vouchers from our "OWN" money, I might as well support alternative-measures as a barter to improve Singapore and benefit all Singaporeans and as minimum, to regain some respect and dignity as a Man for their Family in securing back Good Paying Jobs in our "OWN" land. These days, Trust Cannot be Simply Granted.

If i am in your position , i will give vouchers without increasing gst from 7 % to 9% only then this is genuine help , ask yourself arent u giving fale help ?

We forgotten that COE should have contributed hugely to the inflation in food and delivery. Since Ukraine-Russia war, oil shoot up to high of USD130, but has since come down to pre-war period, and those increased in food prices never come down, so it does not make sense to just blame the war for the inflation.

I can see how the lady behind is trying her best to stay awake lol. Indeed she has mind of steel. Very mentally strong.

S'poreans acknowledge that PAP is the only competent and effective party in s'pore. CDC vouchers are extremely popular with the people in s'pore. Excellent!❤❤
