Buddy and Junior are dynamite playing and singing. We miss you Junior, you may be gone but not forgotten. One of the best harmonica players ever up there with Sonny Boy Williamson another legend! Thank you both Buddy and Junior for all you have done and still do for everyone in clips like this and in the case of Buddy still playing!!

I'm jealous I am trying to see Buddy before he passes. I know that he's 87 years old now and may not with us much longer! He's great man!!❤❤

Hey now!!!! Let's not be a downer. . . 87's the new. .. 107😄. . . start workin' on it! I saw Junior in '90 at Theresa's Basement. . . 47th and Indiana (I think). . . spoke with him between sets at a break. . . got the feeling that he was amused at the reverance that I considered his music to be. ☺

I saw him in Pennsylvania in early April. He's still playing very well and his voice is incredible. He seems to be in great condition.

Fantastic stuff, and great little solo from the apparent Paul Schafer band guitarist too. Not the master, but pretty good, and great to see Buddy Guy giving the man the glance of "good stuff". Gotta be on top of your game to be on the same stage as those two and not be blown out of the water.

First band I seen was the Paul Shafer band when they backed up the Animals in Thunder Bay Ontario in 66 I was 10. :-) Peace

Saw them upstairs at The Brunswick House In Toronto Maybe mid 80's Buddy kept calling for another Cognac. They had a white muscle bound blond long haired bearded guy on guitar with them from Chicago who was also amazing

Now I dig Buddy` big time but seriously, what is going on here ? Listen. What is he trying to do in that first lead? It's as if he's competing to see who can blaze the most notes off or whatever . He seems to be barely striking them and just glazing over them too . ..That's not normal Buddy,. hmmm?

Thinking that the originators of their respective style (in this case, Buddy Guy) don't need to "compete" for who's the hottest picker. . were it not for the inspiration of Buddy(among others), SRV would never have been the SRV that we all put on such a (deservedly high) pedistal.

@@davidkelley3800 I''ve always thought "yikes" to be an efficient, one-word encapsulation of "this-is-my-euphoric-reaction-to-something-I've-just-encountered-and-I'm-too-speechless-to-adquately-verbalize-just-how-much-I-love-it" or something along those lines. Buddy and Junior appeared in an ill-lit gymnasium at freshman orientation at my Chicago-area college in 1966 and that's how this Ohio boy was blissfully introduced to them...and to the blues. I've got photos to prove it. Super-Yikes!

Kind of a lack luster version . I think it would been better if Buddy sang, and Jr played more harp in fills. Buddy tried to play too fast in his leads and kind of failed . And did the house guitar player actually do finger tapping ?? in a blues song ,lol !
