The delusion I see as a working-class man in America with often dirty clothes from hard labor is that some people do not see me as existing, as an equal. Even as they go through life with what people like me provide, a roof over their head, food in their stomach, a vehicle to drive, a toilet that flushes, running water, indoor plumbing, a warm shower, electricity, air conditioning, etc.... Yet we are invisible and treated like we don't exist. While they lap up spirituality, that we are all one and then leave the lecture, the book and ignore a good percentage of society around them that makes their physical life even possible. Say hi to a working-class person and smile at them. Just a thought...

Thank you for seeing a working-class man in such fine light:) My wife and I have worked along one of the Finger lakes in upstate NY. We drive an old rusty work truck 1989 Dodge Ram. Our lake used to have ordinary income people now it is quite exclusive, and you have to be at least a millionaire to afford the high cottage costs and taxes. When I say a friendly hello about 1/5 of the people do not say hello back. America has a caste system backed by your apparent financial status. Many people do say hello nicely back luckily. I wish everyone could not prejudge someone and see what their character is. One winter 6 years ago my wife and I went to India taking our tools and had no destination. We looked for an orphanage in basically ruins and then worked fixing it up and loving 50 orphan kids while there for 2 months. We initially headed north out of Dehlia and thru meditation and prayer ended up asking the cab driver to let us off after 12 hours of driving, not knowing where we really were. We ended up at Dharamsala and then found many Buddhist monks and nuns there, all friendly and nice. We discovered it was the Dalia Lama's refuge after being forced out of Tibet. Since then, I have studied Buddhism. Hinduism and Yoga Path and LOVE IT!!!Is your name Tibetan if I may be so bold as to ask? We have been fund raising and in 2024 will go to Nepal and again work with orphan kids.
