Very nice work. I am trying to make it. Please clarify in Buddha where have you exactly used scarlet and Indian red. It looks more of orange with yellow.

Thank you, it's not orange. cadmium yellow used for highlighting only. Indian red used for darkening Cadmium Yellow Medium, Scarlet, Black, Indian Red --used for Buddha

if you are painting on a canvas try to spray some water in the beginning in order to get a wet surface. You can use flat brush for blending the colors and then mop the color immediately with another dry brush.
