Nutmeg liver.. Theres zone 1, 2 and 3. centrilobular is the furhest from artery and periportal is the nearest to hepatic artery. In edema gives the nutmeg appearance.

Hey medicosis, hemorrhoids and varices are different technically and even on Proctoscopy.

Why do there is only centrilobular necrosis but not in the periphery?

If we do a surgical shunt bt IVC and Portal vein, in this case the liver can't detoxify anymore! Toxins will build up leading to hepatic encephalopathy and other problems. I mean what about the toxins?
