A short compilation of the few film clips of Budapest before the Great War. My intention in making this video was to give you a glimpse into what I consider to be the golden age of Budapest with the help of moving images.
Unfortunately, there is very little material left from this period, so I had to "cheat" a bit: I used some excerpts from the film Budapest 1916 and also from the 1917 film Last Dawn (Utolsó Hajnal).
Hopefully some more footage will turn up of the Hungarian capital from this period.
