Buckley's Auto Care Is A Registered NASTF Repair Center

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Welcome to Buckley's Auto Care www.buckleysautocare.com
NASTF - National Automotive Service Task Force. The future is going to come down to having all repair diagnostic and testing equipment registered with the manufacturers in order to obtain the data, software updates and service information from them. NASTF works in conjunction with the manufactures and the equipment makers to make sure that all security protocols are followed and the only the information will go to qualified and registered technicians and businesses.
This is done to protect vehicles and their owners from theft and other possible nefarious actions. People who are not registered under the guidelines set forth by NASTF, the Manufactures and the equipment makes WILL NOT have access to specific data or information to properly service vehicles.
Buckley's is proud to be NASTF registered and we do carry all of the factory tooling, equipment and have all access for the makes of Acura, Honda, Toyota, Lexus and the entire lines of GM, Ford, Stellantis (Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram) We also have access for all other makes and models as well.

Should I own a shop with $1000,000 insurance liability to do so called security related tasks? I am afraid that in the future I will have to be NASTF certified to be allowed to air up a tire!

How about the neighborhood mechanic helping low income residents? Out of business and the low income residents cant afford to take their cars to a professional place like yours or a dealer to get a bcm replaced or as a mtter of fact anything that oem derermines is vehicle security including a tire pressure sensor a radio a dash a abs module a fuel pump module a gateway a ecm. How is that helping the local businesses? How is that going to stop thieves? It's all about politics and money. The right to repair is being pulled away from small shops and part-time helpers. Ashame in the car industry the same as pay per month car seat warmer.

I understand your sentiment. However, sales and repair are two different animals. You don't have to subscribe to the heated seat option if you don't want to. But to protect the data and software that operates the vehicle , The OE's want you (us) to be qualified enough (and prove it) so they can promote the fact that your local neighborhood tech CAN repair their brand. If they have trust in you, you'll actually have more ways to help your community, no matter how big or small. You as an operator set your price from $0 - to whatever your area can handle. You have the final say in pricing and you'll be able to make the repairs properly with all the right information, software and tooling.

@BuckleysAutoCare I'm not against it but I see a lot of small shops and independent person that can't carry a 1m insurance and own its own business to apply for nastf and nastf even though many of us are in similar situations don't accept our applications. I tried emailing nastf a few times and got back to square one. They make the rules, and as an independent person doing programming, they will not accept my application. So I need to find a new job, great, or buy non paticipating tools, great again.Or build my own business and charge low income people 5k for a bcm replacement, joke.

@@jorgemat8080 What would it take for you to form a simple LLC or S corp? Programming or any repair by an individual leaves you liable for any mishaps. You personally are not exempt from making a mistake on a repair. Yes, with business comes expenses for sure. But they aren't that crazy where you go in debt just to start. Jorge, let me share this link to site full of good information and stories to maybe help autoserviceleader.com/?fbclid=IwAR0okC6-YlvQATjFguRzCOQos9jxK4XfzAAm9j-X6CAn7WFhtd8ZaHp0AkY A lot of good shop owners with all of their experiences for you to learn from.

I have an llc, but it's been a nightmare to get insured for some reason, and believe me I been trying. I got about 15 insurance companies denying me coverage, so I'm left out. That's the issue I'm dealing with. I want to apply for nastf but unfortunately it seems like gathering the requirements for me has been nothing more than a nightmare. Anyway, thanks for the link, I've been doing module programming for many years, and yes, I made mistakes, and yes, I paid out of pocket for it and moved on with my life. A $1500 module in 5 years of doing programming is nothing compared to insurance policy cost, I think since I could not get a quote. Just another bump on the road.
