My dad's family was from Pipestone, MN, but my dad went to Alaska for homesteads. Dad was in the Navy and met my mom when he was in VA ❤❤😊😊

Loved seeing the plane take off from the water. I live a half mile from Tinker air force base . I see planes everyday . I live in the flight pattern of one runway. It can be very loud at times it sounds like they are going to land on your house. Have fun. Prayers and Love 💞 From Oklahoma

When I was born in Anchorage in January it was 40 below outside 😅😅

I love paddle boats, went on my first one ever in New Orleans in August of 2023.

Thanks for taking us along. I had to chuckle at -40°F, I know Alaska gets colder than that. Reminds me of one night on February 2, 1996 there were shirts here in Central Minnesota being sold "I survived 50 below". Northern Minnesota also set a record that night at -60 degrees F. A lot of furnaces were maxed out that night

I have to agree. It felt like I was right there with you guys. I love going on sightseeing. But when y'all was in the gift shop, I kept yelling Stop turn left. Stop turn right. I would spot things that I wanted to see. LOL. They were so many wooden carvings. and I love anything made out of real wood. And Madam Mayor, I would. have turned into a popsicle. going inside that deep freezer. I am one who cannot stand the cold. I have issues with my thyroid, and it's affected my body temperature. like George. I cannot stand the cold. Thank you both for the amazing video please. take care and be safe. Madam Mayor you were very brave to go into that freezer 🥶

I liked your opening establishing shot and intro it is getting better. Try a 3/4 or full body of her in that shot instead of 1/4 and head shots.. On the slides it would be good to do a voice over as to what was in the slides as they were about 5 seconds each and that is a short time to flash past. Maybe 11 seconds which some voice over explanation of what we are seeing to pass along some history as the slides are small and have such a short screen time. Examples; slide of the river what is the river's name, slide of riverboat her name , slide of the memorial what is his name and a short bio from the signs would be nice, what is the significant of the congressional record, also what is a short bio of Capt. Jim Binkley and the last slide again what is the history of the riverboat and her name.. Just a few things that us viewers may like to hear about and to peak our interest in watching your whole video, because the you tube algorithm likes us to stay until the video end.

I am do happy that you are taking all around alaska. This is great.😊

There is a musher who gives tours on the glacier with his sled that races the Iditarod. He is originally from Farragut. Iowa. He went to school with my boys and he is a wonderful person. If that is something you would enjoy doing, his name is Riley Dyche.

What a glorious day for a riverboat ride. Loved your tour guide, he was funny & very informative. Watching the seaplane take off was amazing & how fearless are those pilots? I would imagine that floating debris like logs, would be a bit of a worry. The river looked like glass, the views were picture perfect & the dogs were awesome. No, born and raised in Virginia. The military moved him to Alaska and he stayed another 12 yrs.
