Ok So I have a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L and I had to replace a governor sensor and the filter and all of that and replace the new fluid. It's shifting fine but soon as I get up to like 70 or 75 mph it feels like something is rolling so could that be my torque convertible or do I need to replace the transmission fluid again. I know a day after the fluid was black again and I didn't do a complete flush

@2:20 you mention driving slightly uphill and barely accelerating. My 09 CX-9 AWD "clunks" at this point. It is like it is trying to shift down to get up the incline but doesn't run completely through the process and I need to press the gas harder to make it shift. I think this happens in every gear, for sure 3, 4, & 5th. Local mazda dealer has no idea what it is, we even took them for a drive and made the car make this clunk or attempt at shifting and they just said wait until it breaks and bring it back. It'll need a new tranny at that point. Any ideas?

I bought a 2005 Ford Escape from someone off of Facebook Market Place of February 18, 2020. I was 18 at the time and just turned 19 I don’t know anything about cars but the gear was ok the only problem was it didn’t pick up speed at 3rd gear. Turned out I needed a engine I noticed it made a noise like a ticking or knocking I’m not sure now I’m in the mist of getting a new engine $5,500. Also, I noticed one time when I drove and it was kind of slippery outside from the rain my car would refuse to go leaving my tires to make a screeching noise and then it’ll go again once I pushed on the brakes and back on the gas. I don’t know if it’s because of the wheel alignment or something else the tires are perfectly fine and after sitting for about 7 months their still ok. I don’t know if I’ll need a new transmission I’m currently searching up what causes a bad transmission and I hope I don’t need one because I could barely afford the engine... can you help me?☹️ I’m also scared that when I get my car back it’ll be something wrong not all mechanics know how to fix cars.... lesson learned

Hello! First off: your videos are great! Helped me already. I am having issues with my transmission and since I live in turkey a mechanic can only be last resort since you get screwed over a lot around here. I have a really bad bang at fast acceleration from 1st to 2nd gear on my 4-gear-automatic CB4 1993 Honda Accord 2.0 EX. If I release the gaspedal right at the time it would shift, then it shifts smooth. But with the pedal pressed it feels like getting rammed from behind. Does this tell you enough for an idea which part it might be? I heard solenoid-valve but my guts tell me its inside the transmission.

Hi. Could someone help me with some advice please? I just bought a 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid today from a private seller and he promised me there was no problem with the transmission (CVT type I believe). I paid so much of my savings, and when I drove it home after 2hrs, it started to jump and shake when I was reversing to park in the lot. My mom said that it seemed like a transmission issue, so I came here. When I drove at the 2 hours home, there was absolutely no problem with it shifting and bucking or anything like that. It was straight smooth. It was when I was getting slower to park in my lot that I felt a little shake. But the biggest issue was when I put it in reverse, that it started dancing and resisting.

I hear to not change the transmission fluid if it's real high mileage

that depends on what you mean by high. If by high you mean 130k~ then you simply do a drain and refill, so that some of the crud is left behind and the transmission doesn't slip.

I've heard that on hondas or toyotas since they are Japanese they release less clutch material so doing a drain and fill at 150k won't hurt things. But when it comes to American vehicles it's a different story, they release more clutch material and rely on the friction of the dirty fluid to function.

its not high miles its old never changed fluid. i say if you are having trans issues then change the fluid and add a cleaning additive to clean up all that crud that is surely built up from old worn fluid. ive always been told that cleaning all the crud at such a point will cause more issues but ive done this on two of my vehicles so far with only positive results. who knows maybe i just go tlucky.

118,000 miles is pretty pathetic. Why I won't touch a post bailout GM vehicle. And the fact that the transmission has to come out to change the filter is just basically setting it up for early failure.

Not sure what engineers were thinking when they put the transmission filter inside the transmission housing... that's the same case for my 2006 honda pilot. So dumb in my opinion.

A transmission deliberately designed to fail by software should be illegal (France has out-lawed planned obsolescence) this major component of the drive-train failing on purpose is evil by Japan. Their economy thrives, ours is dying due to this. A water-pump or other parts which designed to fail we've gotten used to. This is an outrage.

Shame on Ford for making it more difficult for us to service our own transmissions and without a dipstick. It's obviously about money. Ford has made bothersome decisions and all of the Ford dealerships either lie and cheat or are incompetent. They lied about what my cars problem is to avoid paying the warranty.

1A Auto Parts Thanks but I do my own work. Sounds like you haven’t had that issue. It’s acts like it’s really low on fluid. There is no burnt clutch smell, old fluid was. Clean and red. I could grab a. Tcm or maybe a valve body at the junkyard.

All those people complaining about "sometime jerks" in their tranny shoudl add lucas trans slip in their transmission. It comes in almost a 1 ltr bottle. remove around 500ml of transmission fluid and add 500 ml of lucas adn drive for a week or so and after a week put the remaining amount after removing the same amount. make sure to either do it in warm weather or warm the bottle up in hot water as its too. If you are feeling lucky you can also add the full bottle in one go. But before doing the above make sure that you have enough fluid in your transmission. check your manual on how to cehck fluid as different cars have different ways to check the correct fluid. for example for Elantra I have to drive it so that it can heat up to operatin temperature and then put the gear in all gears one by one and then put the car in Neutral. Also if you have never replaced your transmission fluid may be try doing that.
