Bucket List Harley Davidson Motorcycle Trip Across America - Part 1

Part 1 of my solo motorcycle trip across America. The photos and videos don't do it justice. It has to be experienced to be appreciated. This video includes the portion of my trip from Texas to the Atlantic Ocean in Georgia. I then head up through the Carolinas and stop in eastern Tennessee.

Just watched your Ouray to Silverton video. I’m leaving Monday from Albuquerque for a week of riding and fly fishing up there. I’ve done the MDH several times. Hoping the weather cooperates.

Close to my hometown when you rode The Tail of the Dragon 🐉 I use to ride it every weekend, but now I’m an old man and only ride it once every year or so. 👍👍

Great trip JH! I'll bet you got a lot of thinking done on the road right? Met some nice people and saw some cool things. I rode to Sturgis from Vegas 10 years in a row. One year I went to Seattle from Sturgis and down the Pacific Coast Highway back home. 2005 me and a buddy realized after Sturgis that we had a couple more weeks to kill so we road across the midwest to the top of Maine. We had chow at a little diner in Fort Kent, Maine right across from the Canadian border crossing then road home. The highway is a good place to be on a big Harley. Enjoy!

Sounds like you've put some miles on your bike! I'm thinking about riding up to Maine for my next long trip. I would like to go from Maine to Key West also. Thanks for commenting.

@@jhallen6034 Sounds like fun. I'm retired now and my wife and I are thinking about moving out of the Vegas desert which I was born in, to the Orlando area. I will miss the west but I can say that I have risen all over it. Loving in the southeast is going to open up a whole new world of riding. Looking forward to it.

I made my videos using video editing software on my computer and was able to add my own music. When I uploaded the finished videos to KZread, I got a message that they would be de-monetized because the music has copyrights. That just meant that I couldn't make money off the videos no matter how many views they got. I didn't care because I was just uploading the videos to show family and friends and give them a small taste of what I experienced.

Nice Video.. I am planning to do a moderate distance ride and wanted to record it.. Did you continuously record and then edit or periodically record? Thanks

Thanks for the comment. I had the camera on my helmet ready to go all the time. I only hit record when I saw something I wanted to capture. I probably missed a few things that came up on me quickly before I could hit record. However, I probably only used about 1% of the footage I recorded on my trip for my videos I put on KZread. I think a continuous recording would just give you way too much to go back through and edit down. Just my opinion.
