At 7:28 How is output voltage = 0 during Toff? Won't the capacitor try to ensure constant voltage? And isn't the charge in the capacitor directly proportional to output voltage? At 8:24 shouldn't the waveforms for IL (off) and Id and IL(ON) and Iin be identical?

Sir,if we talk about DC(chopper) there is no qstn about inductance and capacitance right!?? Then why the circuit consists L and C?? and there is no AC supply so there will be ripples so,Y the capacitor?

Why output voltage is zero in Mode 2 ? It should be equal to voltage appearing across capacitor.
When the chopper is off, the inductor terminals are reversed so according to KVL, shouldn't (-VL+Vo = 0)?

It is perfectly correct here

You are correct, the inductor voltage does switch polarity during toff. However it is necessary to keep the same polarity to derive the correct equations.
Why the inductor will reverse its polarity when switch is off?
So when switch is on load will get input voltage and when switch is off load will get inductor+capacitor voltage?

Sir I am confused when the switch is OFF the VL polarity changes... In that case current director should reverse... Even if I assume current start decreasing in same direction then the Polarity of Vo will also change. Then KVL applied at 10:35 minutes is not valid. Please explain and correct me..

dude you are correct but after applying voltage sec equation we will get vo=(dutycycle*vdc) so less than vdc value and whatever he drew in vo waveform is not correct as a result of capacitor action it will be a sinusoidal in the output dc shifted with (dutycycle*vdc). If capacitor is not there what he drew is correct but with vo=d8vdc -_- Study standard textbooks like bhimbra for deep knowledge

Buck converter is also called as zero voltage switching operation it's true or false
DC current cannot pass through the capacitor? So how waveform is there

DC current can pass through capacitor till it gets charged full.In this case capacitor is not gets charged full.
Is buck converter and regulator same ?

If Regulator(LDO) you are taking then it is not same.
but we get current in capacitor when we connect DC source, but here how the current is passing through capacitor?

in dc, capacitor is an open circuit. so essentially we get maximum voltage but 0 current flow as capacitor. it is a voltage storing device so that analogy makes it easier to understand i suppose :)
Why Voltage at output is 0 when switch is off as Inductor is delivering current.

Q-1 for buck converter prove that per unit inductor current ripple is maximum at D=0.5.....sir plz giving this answer.
let me know that, how to get VL(ON)*T(ON)+VL(OFF)*T(OFF)=0 and how to replace at T(OFF) as (1-D)T. Thank

(1-D)T = (1- Ton/(T))T = (T - Ton) = Ton + Toff - Ton = Toff
Sir, capacitor doesn't allow dc to flow through. Then how come your circuit diagram elaborates that it flows (during switch on mode) Kindly explain, thanks!

Mosfet is switching in a frequency On/Off Due to that That DC is not pure DC it will be fluctuating DC As shown in waveform. So it can pass from Capacitor.
Capacitor function??
but the output voltage will be constant when switch is closed &open too, which is not shown in the output Vo graph

that is property of inductor, It oppose the change in current.
Why reverse current Is flowing in inductor 4.47
How come Output voltage is zero we still will have out put voltage due to the inductor right and that is why, during Toff V_L = -V_O
It's difficult to charge the inductor since it's capacitance value is very low. (4:00).

The charging of the inductor is in the magnetic field by the current flow, when the current flow changes the magnetic field decreases causing a back EMF which causes the polarity change.
