Buck 110 factory Spa treatment and sharpening

I sent three 110's from different decades back to Buck for factory sharpening and spa treatment.
For the low price of $6.95 per knife, Buck sharpened, buffed and cleaned up my old reliable knives. I shipped them to the factory and Buck included return shipping in a securely packed box.
The quality of the work is great. I've had Buck knives since I was in high school and they build super knives for the price.
Thanks for watching, leave a comment or a question if you want.

I bought a 110 in 1971. My nephew managed to damage the backspring so it sat in a drawer for 30 years. I sent it to Buck a few years ago. They completely restored it to like new condition. What an awesome service.

Thanks for your story. Buck stands out for service when it's something they still make and will give you credit to buy something from them if they can't fix your knife.

They really do a fantastic job! My friend had a blade replaced for $10 and they did a spa treatment on it! I had the pleasure of stopping by there factory in Idaho a couple days ago! I had to pick up another 110 while I was there! If you send them sheaths they will just clean them up. If you want a new sheath you probably have to just buy one. They did an awesome job! Great knives! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comment. I am a Buck user and I support their American made products. They've done right by me the two times I sent knives back for repair or sharpening.

Thanks for the comment. I was very impressed with the work that Buck did in bringing these back to almost new looking. I used one of these pretty extensively years ago and that knife looks great. My knives are users and the oldest will be put back into rotation as a carry blade.

wow!! Buck did a hell of a job buffing & cleaning those 110's up brother! even on video the brass bolsters really look nice. i've always loved that version of the 110 folder, the dark wood against the brass is just a classic timeless look. i've been through a couple of them through the years and after seeing this vid i'm gonna put one of these on the shopping list. damn fine looking knifes brother 2riders!!! these are just one of those classic knives that can't be beat..

Thanks for the comment. I'm making another video about Buck, the 110 and the change it made to the knife industry. Stay tuned it will be up later this week.

I had no idea Buck did this. I guess I just never thought about it. I have a Buck 110 I bought when I was teen, back around 30 years ago and carried as well as used regularly for years. I got into a motorcycle accident about 10-15 years back and it got pretty banged up. It was still in decent enough shape, scrapes and and a few dings in it but I stopped carrying it then. I think I'm going to have to send this in and get it brought back to new condition now! Would have been cool if you did a freeze frame of the knives with before and after photos. Would have liked to have seen how the one with the old engraving looked now. If they buffed it out or just replaced the brass section. Either way. Thanks for sharing!

The brass section is a single piece that runs the length of the knife. The woman I spoke with at Buck said she would buff out the engraving. I'll try to do a picture in picture for the before and after. Thanks for watching and consider subscribing.

Send your knife to Buck for refurbishing, you won’t regret it. I stopped sharpening my Buck knives years ago after I first sent a couple back for the spa treatment, and my knives came back like brand new and razor sharp.

Believe it or not, I lost my 1974-1980 Buck 110 in my divorce. My ex wanted to hurt me in every way possible (even though she was the one who cheated) she was just vindictive that way! After 25 years, I've recently started to look at finally replacing my Buck, where would you suggest me looking?

Thanks for watching. About 9 weeks after shipping the knives to Buck I called them on a Saturday. The lady on the phone said they were in line to cross her bench in a day or so. Buck never called me or emailed. The time frame was expected and the quality of work was very good.

Sorry about your Buck. Smokey Mountain Knife Works and Knife Center are two online shops that i have had good luck with and Buck Knives sells knives directly to consumers, too. Most of the dealers offer engraving for abot $9 if you want your name or a slogan on your new knife. Thanks

Buck does an amazing job with their forever warranty. I sent my 110 made in the 1970s that I carried all throughout my navy career for a blade replacement and cleaning and polishing and when it came back I thought it was a brand new knife.

Thanks for the comment. My 119 broke about 1991 and Buck replaced it right away. The spa treatments for the 110's was excellent. They are squared away in customer service. @@garylyman4922

Great video ,how do you break in your sheath ?

Thanks for watching. The new sheath got warmed up with a hair dryer, then I rubbed a coat of SNO-SEAL on and inside of the sheath. It has lots of beeswax in it and dries to a less greasy feel than Vaseline. I like it better than other oils of greases. When it is dry, I rub off any excess with a dry cloth. Here is a link . It is good on all kinds of smooth leather but not suede. Softens and adds waterproofing. My boots get treated once a year. Sheaths less frequently. www.atsko.com/sno-seal-application-tips-and-instructions/
