I loved the 90s commercials, especially for candy. They were inspired by a truly angelic force that wanted us to have fun and be happy.

That's basically the case with most decades, it seems. I'd say most decades don't completely shake off the pop culture influences of the previous decade til 3 or 4 years in. For example, 1993 felt like the 90s had really become its own thing but you still had a fair bit of glam rock and teased hair in 1992.

‘92 reminds me of neon, the pump, the Fresh prince and DJ Jazzy. 1993 reminds me of Nirvana, flannel, long hair, grunge 😅

Man, commercial creativity was definetly at its peak back then. It kicked ass being a teenager in the 90s. I took it for granted then but its one of those things ill be eternally grateful for.

Somehow this is incredibly catchy. It's got a good beat to it.

Whatchamacallit Candy Bar, Bubble Tape, Skip-It Jump Rope, "I'm Mr. Bucket" toy. Advertising sure did the trick!

I always thought this commercial was freaking weird, but at least when it came on it meant Nick Jr. was done for the day and I could watch some of the good shit like Heathcliff and Inspector Gadget.

If that principal guy isn't played by Fred Schneider from the B-52s, I'll be stunned.

Bubble Tape was like crack in my elementary school, it was banned and if you were caught with it you got detention, which is why if you had it and shared with your friends your were mad popular.

I have thought about this constantly for 30 years.

This is the most 90s fake-attitude thing ever. After watching it, I want to put on a Rude Dog t-shirt, blast some Vanilla Ice and watch extreme sports with Dan Cortese.

Tried it once. My mouth became a chaotic river of saliva and even after a good 10-15 minutes, I still couldn't get it to evolve from that sugary, gritty stage to that nice middle stage where it's still sweet but can easily be used for bubbles. I should try it again soon cuz if this randomly crosses my mind on my deathbed I'll be unnerved.

When I recited this commercial to my neighbor's kid, he claimed he didn't ride the bus and his father took him, so I said, "your dad can't drive." He ran out of the room shouting, "Dad! Dad! MrWhitman said you can't drive!"

I always went to summer camp in the 90s with my bubble tape. God how I miss those times.

I remember during Christmas in 2015, I was playing Minecraft story mode and eating bubble tape.
