    Hi dude, really great video. You answered a lot of my questions, thanks! May I ask please about the noise? Does this quiet the noise produced by the bubbles fizzing? I’m hoping it does. Thanks anyway. 🙂👍

    I have a coffee table aquarium the bubbles / hard water build up on the glass top is a huge pain. So I bought the diffuser and used it for a month...Im really not sure if it did anything. Today I put the 4" bubble stone back on the bottom and as I was doing it one fish kissed my hand ...yep.....and you should see them swimming in and out having a BLAST. It's worth it. I cut a soda bottle in half and added handles on the side to drape on the surface / tank sides to catch the splashing bubbles....works well! Happy fish ...happy owner.

    you can simply place a floating circle (I use to made it from ruber tube) on the water then put the air stone/sponge filter tube through it. The floating circle will keep the bubbles to spead and will pop them with almost no water spiling. This way you will let the water to circulate on your aquarium for gas exchanges.

    Hi there, I'm really curious about this because it makes a big mess for my cover. My question is does it really help oxygenating the whole Aquarium? Since the bubbles are not spread out through out the aquarium.

    yes sir absolutely because above the glass it has a small hole that still pulls airs into the glass and completing the water oxygenated process. tested and proven with high load of fish in our other holding tanks.

    Hello, :) Nice idea, but I'm pretty sure that the oxygenation is *mostly* limited to the diffuser, and the transmission by/from the water in the tank, from the bottom of the diffuser's diameter is *quite minimal.* All in all, this idea really defeats the purpose of the air stone's capabilities. Sorry, but I can't find any information contrary to this observation.

    Aquatic Haus yes I know what ur posting was on the air bubbles but if u look in eBay for "aquarium glass co2 defuser bubble air stone purge oxygen aeration HOT " and that same glass would come up also.. that's y I thought u could use the glass as a bell co2 which be slowly defused into water itself.

  • @thilinhnle140

    Because eBay seller state it's also co2 and aeration capable for the glass defuser only, but I have no experience if useage is possible or not on the glass, as I don't own one myself. han since you have one what is ur opinion using as a co2 bell defuser? I didn't notice on eBay pic. of the tiny hole on top, so I was lucky u meantion this in your posting. this might affect the usage of it being a co2 bell defuser.

  • @AquaticHaus

    Hey, it does create water movement but it does manage to provide constant micro bubbles down into the water column , I guess its really a plus. I had this align to water direction with my lily pipes and I do notice they are much active in high oxygenation environment :)

    the whole point of an air stone is to make the surface of the water keeps moving so gas exchange happen for the oxygenation, and this product avoid them all lol

  • @failorrise7093
    @failorrise70932 жыл бұрын

    You think the water gets oxygen from the bubbles in the water. But actually its not until the bubbles reach the surface and then cause surface movement where the oxygen happens. Its not the bubbles but the movement of the water. Just get a smaller diffuser to fix the problem or less air.

    Hi Fail or Rise. I wonder where you have read that about bubbles in water? Because actually, the water does get oxygen from the bubbles in the water :-) This is explained by Henry's Law of diffusion. This is because the partial pressure of oxygen inside the bubbles is higher than in the water. Also, if you use an airstone, the bubbles will get smaller and thereby increase the total surface area available for oxygen to diffuse from bubbles into the water. However, you are correct that disturbing the surface water and increasing the water flow will also increase oxygen transport from the room air into the water. Best regards ^_^

    if there is an kind of circulation in your tank, by default, the oxygen will not simply sit in the glass container and will slowly oxygenate all of the water as with most chemical elements. would be better if someone invented something similar to a mic pop shield to go over where the bubbles surface.

  • @ethmasterrace4507

    So my question about this glass cover you're putting in.. Doesn't it defeat the purpose of having an air stone in the first place? An air stone pumping air into the tank doesn't actually oxygenate the water the moment the bubbles form. The water oxygenates when there's water movement via surface agitation. It causes a gas exchange from co2 to o2 and vice versa. When an air stone is running those bubbles bring Co2 from power levels of water up into the air and fresh oxygen goes into the water.

  • @AquaticHaus

    @AquaticHaus

    It still does the job sir , there's a hole on the upper section of the glass where it pulls new air into the glass it still does the process of keeping the water oxygenated but just prevention water splashing that might cause more water stain around your tank or serounding and prevent rusty / mold etc..

    oxygen dissolved in the water my friend, with this all your livestock in your tank will thrive and live even better. Bubbles coming out from the airstone is causing bubbles to pop and splashes when it reaches the top of the water surface so this glass diffuser contaminate all those splashes within the glass and no longer getting any other parts of the aquarium wet

  • @joshuatuason858

    @joshuatuason858

    Airstones are actually meant to break the water surface as much as possible in order to help with gas exchange. Not much air from the airpump gets dissolved in the water since the bubbles are very large. So if you were to contain an airstone within a glass container like that, I think you are actually limiting its capacity for surface agitation.

    I've been running CO2 with a sponge filter and the surface agitation had me always on low CO2 levels. It keeps on dissipating the CO2 so I had the outflow of the spongfilter covered slightlty with a piece of sponge and my plants thrived with the CO2 level.
