Bubble Gum Crisis Vs Perturbator - Venger (Feat. Greta Link) [AMV]

Фильм және анимация

NOW OVER 100K VIEWS!! IS THIS STILL REAL LIFE?! THIS IS MY FIRST AND ONLY VIDEO TO REACH THIS COUNT! THANKS FOR THE VIEWERSHIP EVERYONE!!!!! \o/
*DISCLAIMER* This AMV is made with non-profit and does not represent another company. I do not own the copyrights to the "video clips" or the "music" in the video!
OPENING STRONG IN 2017!!!! Finally back in business baby!!
And for real, if you see the Artist; Perturbator, tell him/her that I got his/her official music video right here!
I fucking, love, this song. Who would have thought that finishing Wolfenstein - The New Order on a Friday morning could lead me to wonderful musical discoveries on the You Tubes?! I mean, I also discovered that Kirsten Dunst made a music video waaaaaaay back in 2010!!! Who woulda thought that eh?
I must have listened to this tune 4,000 times upon discovery last weekend. I consider it to be amongst the best songs I have heard in my entire life and it immediately inspired me to make an AMV with it. Fellow 1980s born peeps will instantly recognise my use of the setting of Bubble Gum Crisis 2033 (not 2040, we do not ever mention that abomination). Out of all the episodes, I made use of the tale of "Revenge Road", which I thought goes very well with Perturbator's "Venger" theme. I may have altered the natural plot of the anime to fit the song's narrative but I reckon it's worth it. So yeah, please enjoy this video. I already consider it one of my all time best.
PS: I love Greta Link's voice. Whouuuuuuuuuu!! XD

I miss the look of 80s/90s anime, especially for genre like cyberpunk and sci-fi, they had such a great aesthetic back then. The way hand made animation feels is so different then digital, there's a certain texture, a kind of grain that is missing these days, yes it's often beautiful to have crisp, sharp and clean colours, but I feel like it should be manually added in for those kinds of anime. That era of anime also had some of the greatest mechanical/robot animations, super detailed, felt like steel, grime and dirt....they looked kind of real in a way, the 80s/90s also had some of the greatest dashboards/control panels or anything with a screen and infos on it x)

The problem is that after the Japanese economic boom in the 80s suddenly went tits up, it became even more expensive to hire artists to hand draw each and every still frame for these high end, organic, fluid animations. With Japan's economy only getting progressively worse thru the late 80s, 90s, and into the early 2000s, as well as the advent of computer-drawn animation, these hand drawn and cel animations came to be seen as obsolete, costly, and inefficient. And then of course the -đïpşhīțs- members of Japan's youth just HAD to go and develop an obsession with MoE kAwAii content that only became more and more intense with the passage of time, causing all the big anime studios' execs' eyes to go all ( ¥3¥) at the market for moe shīţ, which pretty much killed the 80s and 90s iconic gritty action, cyberpunk, and robot genres of anime altogether. Fűçķ you, Japanese millennials (and oversaturated economic bubble). You killed classic anime, fűçķ you!

@@IgnatianMystic quite a great comment :) When you take a look at the early to mid-80s in Japan, money was rolling hard and we got some of the experimental movies, OVA and TV series which were all awesome to watch, I miss things like Robot Carnival, it wasn't great, but the animations and the more abstract stories were so wonderful to watch.

The animation fro the first 3 OVAs is good, but it pales in comparison with the quality they later started doing for episodes 4-8. You can really tell where they hired more animators and increased the quality, and fluidity of the animation. Sadly Bubblegum Crisis got cancelled due to a legal battle over rights, it had a ton of potential and thats why its still so well revered by Anime fans.

the art is not the problem, both old and new are nice, but what weakened the anime is the plot, too much school, too much weak girls doing bizarre things, too much non sense details, even macross became magic girls, wtf... modern animes became too much focus on breasts and annoying small girls voices and lack of robots if they create a new anime with the same serious atmosphere from old animes, even the new design will looks nice.

What I was really looking for was a detailed drawing or model kit of the car.Anyhow, finding this lovely music video has been a treat. Nice work, rather haunting sound.
