I would also like to add that Bugibba is an ideal place for tourists who are looking for cheap accommodation and traveling on excursions and using the bus. There is a bus station here, from where buses go to all parts of the island. 💖

My wife and I visited Malta on many occasions, fascinating history especially recent military conflicts. When I was last in Buggiba / St Pauls I remember a place called the Bonkers bar some where in the square.

Stayed in Bugibba/Qawra four times, love that walk. We used to take a slow walk to the Boccia Club for a bite to eat and a drink or two. This vid is making me want to return as we haven't been for quite a while now. Bugibba is a really good base to explore most of Malta with its own bus station as I'd recommend people use the local buses to get around.

If you are only interested in eating, drinking and partying, you are welcome to go to Bugibba. But if you want to get to know Malta with its typical buildings and its national flair, you should book a hotel in Sliema, St Julians or Mellieha.

I used to live here, now I am living in Floriana. What Malta needs is more policing on patrol, a dedicated cleaning team and a good amount of rain to wash away all the dust. Once all the construction is completed, things might be better. But this video quality was extremely good and actually made Bugibba look nice 😜. Oh I am extremely curious as to what camera did you use please to shoot this ?

USA should just give sicily to Malta, if the Italians get any rowdy our Maltese dome paid for by US taxpayers will keep them away , if some 1 person dies annually from a rocket then so be it , it's still much less then people who die from substance abuse and crime anyways

Very clever use of lighting and location. Am afraid the majority of Buggiba is a building site, poorly kept paths and (although improved lately) litter! Quite where the environment tax tourists pay has gone, who know?

Concrete jungle with no character (the bread and butter of the tourist sectors removed) . Don't even get me started on the traffic! Malta I'm afraid has not only been discovered, it's slowly being ruined! 😟

Just booked our first visit to Malta for end of October ,i was looking forward to it until i started reading some of the comments. We have booked the Seaview hotel. Is it really full of immigrants hanging about? We are hoping to visit other areas of Malta as well to see the sights as we've previously been told its a wonderful place to visit. Thanks

As a Maltese person myself, if you want to see Malta and actually enjoy it, avoid Bugibba like the plague, especially in recent years it has just gone downhill with construction and chaos

I disagree. Although I always stay in Qwara, I'm quite often in Buggiba. I find it lively and entertaining. If you are worried about construction, you might want to give Malta a miss. The whole island has construction going on. Buggiba is no more chaotic than any other town on the island. As I've been visting Malta yearly, for over 26 years, and coming back again in September, I can easily say that I have enjoyed just about every place I have been on the island. So much to do, so little time to do it.

@@NB-wq6tc The whole island certainly has construction going on, and that is heavily due to mismanagement by the government. But the Bugibba area of Malta is widely considered by locals to be virtually a slum - with a lot of gangs, dangerous areas and being a less than desirable place to go. There are nice restaurants certainly, but actually staying there is not as nice.

@@randomgamer7799 We will have to agree to disagree. I know lots of locals in Buggiba, and the majority love the place. I have never felt unsafe there either. In fact I have felt quite safe no matter where on the island I go. I live in a tourist town in southern England, and I hear the same remarks you've made from locals here. However, most of us realise just how much tourism brings into the town, so put up with the odd bit of disruption during the season. As in Malta, some parts of our town gets better resources than others, which leads to some local residents feeling like second class citizens. I feel Buggiba is no worse, or beter, than any other part of Malta.

Malta przy calej swej wspanialosci ma -przynajmniej dla mnie-kilka mankamentow, jak np uczucie klaustrofobii powodowane przez wszechobecne tlumy. Nie przeszkodzilo mi to jednak byc tam 4 lub 5 razy….w ciagu ostatniego roku🙃

Cheap accomodation? Long let are minimum 800 euros month for 2 bedroom i cant imagine short let which are always more expensive. If you want to see malta, don't go in bugibba. 🤣(i'm living in bugibba, i know what im saying.)

Hi Sara, thank you very much for your comment, I would have a good tip for you on accommodation. I don't want to advertise the hotel we stayed in for free, but I can give you some advice - it's a hotel that is close to the bus station and a week's stay with all inclusive cost 423 euros including a return plane ticket. I just want to add that for this price we bought a June stay in January, I wish you a nice day :-)
