yes Taehyung is a deep thinker. He always look at things in different perspective, in a unique way. For example his Bt21 character, when he was creating Tata, the other members were laughing at him because they didn't understand his explanation. But when Bt21 characters were released, You can see Tata is the most fun and unique character. No one would have ever thought to create a character like that.

V is said to be the second member who has a sexy brain after RM. He is very mysterious in a good way, He viewed things differently, he has different way of seeing things (deeper than others think) He is just a great person, that’s why he became my bias after Jungkook and Jimin. He is just something not just by the look but because he is just something. This song just made me proud of him even more💜

I don't know many artists who make me feel such emotions as V does when he sings. I feel nostalgic, I feel sad but happy, I feel comforted and I also see things through his lyrics. His lyrics are very visual, I have noticed this from his other works as well. His voice puts you into a very emotional place but the lyrics stir up your imagination because he uses such great imagery to present his metaphors. Check 4 'O' Clock and Scenery. I felt like I could both feel and see the emotions behind the songs. He is truly artistic.

@@greygreygray Yeah, I love Stigma. I am not a huge fan of Sweet Night or Winter Bear but that's just personal preference. They are both beautiful songs but for me its like beauty from a distance. Its like when you see a beautiful model and you're like...oh, they're beautiful but you're not attracted to that person. This style from Tae reminds me of a genre we have in the US called Neo Soul. It is a niche genre and you kind of either love it or you don't. Its like Fine Art vs.popular art. When Tae sings its like Fine Art.

I like a lot of different types of music (my second favorite genre after Kpop is actually Doom Metal 😂) but I still don't like every song and that is okay. Like for Tae's solos I love Stigma, Sweet Night, and Singularity but never listen to Winter Bear, Scenery, or Inner Child.

I am a huge fan of Blues music, which is very niche, but I easily connect with BTSs music and other fans of theirs. V wrote and produced this song and he wrote it for the drama Itaewon Class whose lead actor is one of his close friend. The song is about falling for your best friend which is one of the main storyline of the two main characters in the drama. He has always been creative and deep. Just look at the songs he has wrote and produced earlier. He is an understated genius. People underestimate how deep and thoughtful and intelligent he can be because he does not say much and goof around but he is definitely a deep thinker. The whole I Purple You statement that has become saying for many ARMYs and symbolises BTS love for ARMYs was created by V. You should watch video Kim Taehyung Genius. Listen to songs he has had a hand in writing, composing and producing e.g. Hold Me Tight, 4 O'Clock, Scenery.

Taehyung’s thought process is so unique and different. Especially because in the earlier days he didn’t look like someone who thinks a lot but what’s special is he’s always been like this. He’s so deep, you can never literally get anywhere. Just when you think you have him all figured out, he’ll surprise you!

This song is one of the OST of a Kdrama titled Itaewon Class. It is based on a comic book that V loves the most and it so happens that one of his closest friends Park Seo Joon played the main role who happens to be V's favorite character. He made and sung this song to show support for his friend and for the drama as well. He even visited the last shooting day of the drama. You have to watch the drama, I'm still watching it. It is really good.

No it's not at all, you should watch the drama ;) He was absolutely 100% right in how he undertsand the song. It's exactly like that in the drama, the girl loves him but he's in love with his best friend so he rejects her love until he realises one day that she's the one he loves and he hopes it's not too late for them because he let the opportunity go when he had the chance.

As people already have mentioned that Park Seojoon is a friend of Tae. They played together in drama Hwarang where Park Seojoon played the main role too. Since that time V has been close friends with several of Hwarang actors. I really love Taes velvety and dreamy voice, it is so soothing but I wait till the day he will have a song where he really sing out as he did in Sam Smiths Lay me down. This boy has more talent than we know.

I use his songs to help me fall asleep. Winter bear, 4 o'clock and sweet night are like a lullaby. Sweet and soulful.

I was hooked after episode 1 Itaewon class was awesome and I love PSJ seen 3 of his movies so far

Honestly, this song isn't as sad as it seems. In the beginning, he wonders if the door is still open. Then, after that, he talks about the window that was once open between him and someone that is still in his life. Towards the end, he asks if he can pull that person closer and the title of the song is "Sweet Night", which basically means a happy or good night. So, you see, he had a brief relationship with someone and they decided that they were better off as friends but his feelings changed and he is wondering if they could try the romantic relationship again. His heart is pounding because he actually approached the person and asked. The title indicates that the answer was yes. The past was a temporary thing, a window of opportunity, as you said. Now, though, they're going through an open door. It's less about regret and more about admitting that letting someone go was a mistake and asking if they can try again. Also, there is speculation that, yes, V wrote this for himself, not for the series. It is possible that he really was feeling what the song describes. That's just speculation, though. Also, "Sweet Night" is the song for the 12th episode of the series. The headstone and the extra shot are for his father. He's not married in the show. It's only one season so far. The synopsis of the series answers most of your questions about it.

Definitely a must watch drama!! I would recommend this, the drama is called "Itaewon Class" and the main lead is actually one of V's best friend ever since they started a drama together back in 2016 called "Hwarang" btw 'Itaewon Class' is actually on Netflix, you should try and watch it :)

The kdrama (Itaewon Class) this song is an ost to is soooooo good, if you have Netflix you really should watch it! The first episode had me hooked. The drama has so many layers, don’t be fooled to think it’s just a love story. This song actually appears in ep 13 and I hope V gets another nomination (first nomination was for the ost of the movie he acted in Hwarang) and win this time for the ost.

Itaewon Class is really good! It's on Netflix US right now. The series is complete and has 16 episodes. The main actor, Park SeoJoon, is one of V's best friends and they met when they played in the Kdrama Hwarang. Together, with their other friends like Park Hyungshik (actor: Hwarang), Choi Woo Shik (actor: Parasite), and Peakboy (singer) form an adorable friendship squad called Wooga. If you watch V's vacation vlog from last year you'll see him on vacation with his wooga fam. Back to the show, Itaewon Class has a really good class and deals with a lot of issues in society such as racism, classism, and transgenderism. I highly recommend it.

Secondly you're right it didn't make much fuss here in the United states but it was big in Korea.
