Yes, that beautiful adlib belongs to Tae. Being Tae's birthday week, I'm happy you guys get to REALLY see Tae's strengths as an artist. Plenty underestimate his abilities, be it singing, dancing, or his intelligence. A baritone who easily keeps up with the tenors. So many layers to unravel with Tae who has such a pure heart.

People tend to say WOW a lot when it comes to Tae. Many of us have the same reaction. Just stare in awe,being pulled in. His voice ,smooth,velveety deep. His dancing too, so fluid.

Singularity is the first solo song that i heard from bts member and I love it. This song really suits my taste.

This is the intro to the most gut wrenching album to me. Love yourself: tear was the album in the series that was supposed to have a sadder tone according to the themes of the love yourself series. This is technically the third instalment of the 4 part series and was created during a very rough part of BTS's journey. They were working endlessly and breaking barriers for the KPOP world, while trying to grow as individuals an essentially create the blueprint for themselves since they were in uncharted territory with no one really to look up to in their industry. They received a lot of love and popularity but like Suga has said "the more the light shines on you, the darker the shadows" , so there was a flip side to all the fame and they were navigating it the best they could. RM participated heavy on this album and said himself that it took a toll on him mentally but I do believe writing and getting his message and this story out as hard as it was for them is definitely something healing for an artist. BTS always finds a way to convey a story thats poetic and that can reach many people at the same in many different ways. They write what they know and about their lives but most songs can be interpreted in the way the listener needs. These albums are about love and different people think about love in different ways. You can think of a soulmate type of love, romantic type of love, familial type of love , friendship or the love you have with yourself. You can literally hear most of these songs over and over with a different type in mind each time for whatever you need in that moment and that is art to me. With all that being said and probably no one has gotten this far down in the read, I have always thought that this song, this album, this whole album series is a message to themselves and the fans that they have acquired on this journey. These boys are introspective, especially RM, he questions everything and thinks way too much. RM wrote this with V in mind because as a leader and poet he is good at communicating with the members, trying to understand them and help in any way he can. With V, you could see during this time that he was getting a lot quieter just from personal things that were happening in this life and dealing with the fame/work of being BTS. So reading the lyrics with that in mind, I feel like they were talking about the real V that he has been trying to hide away in a lake to freeze over so that he can be the V on the surface we all see thats in the public eye but at some point the ice melts and he realizes he cant hide his true voice forever. The use of masks in this album feels like the mask they have to put on for the job they have, not saying that they are lying or faking anything but its just what has to happen to preserve who you are in this world. Its the same thing as acting professionally at work and different with your family and friends, we all do it and not to deceive anyone but to be able to get through our days. The theme of the masks pops up a bit more in this album and shows up in their live performances the same thing with the puppet theme (marionette) that they have in some of the dance moves and promo pics. I think its a commentary on the rougher part of idol life in terms of the "fake love" they may receive or how much they have to hide themselves for people to be able to continue and help these same people. The love you get from fans are great and massive but its not intimate and its different from the love that they can give back as well so its probably something that they struggled with being as young as they are. They also have a love for each other, a love for music that they want to do and trying to find a love for yourself all at the same time to keep moving forward as 7 individual people with 7 different lives where the sole breadwinner to a company that has invested literally everything into is probably also difficult to manage at times. I think that the way that this album was curated, the way the entire series has been explained in panel setting conversations and how it was executed was just magical and honestly a job well done. I love that Band PD ( CEO at the time, now chariman) has also helped write the music for the album considering the theme of "puppets" in the idol word which he is also a player. It shows that he understands and is aware and I believe it even more. Basically if they wanted people to feel something, mission accomplished. This may have been too much, my bad. I just geeked. :) 💜

You can love him or h@ te him....but can never ignore him... That's The Kim Taehyung. His Voice, Talent, Visual, Aura everything is just perfect.

I was obsessed with this song when it came out. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing. This song will forever be a favorite of mine and it suits Tae’s style so well. I personally don’t think the song got enough love, but everyone was captivated by his live performances.

Taehyung, the eternal underrated member of the group among Armys. As Rolling Stone magazine described him, V is the secret weapon of the group. The stan attractor of BTS not only for his amazing looks and mesmerizing stage presence but for the wide range of musical taste he brings to the group. His baritone voice is not usual in kpop yet he can sing high pitched songs as well and experiment with different types of music. Can't wait for his solo album.

Have you seen how Jimin solos or Jungkook solos speak? Even rapline solo stans. Each solo fanbase has their own victimizing agenda to satisfy their savior complex. There's no such thing as most hated. These kinds of narrative only exist on solo stans' minds and narrow view on reality.

Because Jhope is still the most followed solo kpop artist in spotify afaik, Jimin is the most popular and well recognized kpop idol in general that even non kpop stans know, etc. etc. And I'm not saying this to mean one member is has a bigger fanbase than another, but I'm OT7 and I hate it when yall pit the members against each other. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses, and comparing them, their talents or their popularity is so toxic. Only solo stans who don't actually stan all 7 like to fight with each other as if all BTS members especially Taehyung haven't repeatedly, over and over again, stated that they love and support each other and would like the rest of us to do so as well.

Almost all of V's solo activities always encounter obstacles and many attempts at sabotage from solo fans of other BTS members. When V was the only one to appear on the cover of Vogue magazine, many boycott movements were echoed loudly on social media for various reasons that didn't make sense. When V starred in Friendcation with his friends, many haters calling themselves ARMY protested loudly and urged the agency to make a similar event for Jungkook and his friends. When V was the only BTS member to be invited to do a radio show, there was a lot of pressure to invite their favorites on the same show as V. When V was the first to appear in a Kloud Beer commercial, many hateful attacks on social media were directed at the Kloud Beer creative team, including threats of boycotting the product if other BTS members were not featured in the commercial immediately. When V became the first member of BTS to fill in the soundtrack for a TV series, again the haters who called themselves ARMY tried to boycott it by intensively streaming other soundtracks. When the company failed to patent "I Purple You" using its own company name, many stupid fans regretted it and thought it was the fault of V's solo fans, even though none of V's solo fans knew about the company's despicable actions if it wasn't exposed by the media

Singularity is one of my favorite songs... and this R&B Neo-soul song is the most critically acclaimed song on this album... And V also received a lot of praise for singing it so well.. he was compared to some of the most acclaimed R&B legends. Such a beauty this one! This song does tie in to the storyline/concept of the album trilogy this way: Serendipity was about the feeling of falling in love, Euphoria was about the high of being in love, then Singularity was about slowly losing yourself and feeling suffocated being with someone(the lyrics portray that SO well).. and finally, Epiphany was about realizing that you should learn to love yourself first! The lyrics to this song are just extraordinary..... On a more light perusal of the lyrics, it still communicates the theme of the song and the purpose of it as to the way it ties in with the storyline, But they are so much deeper and have so many layers and narrations.. the song, when separated from the storyline, can be taken so many ways, with the way the lyrics are written. You pick out something more, something different each time you read those. The lyrics carry the narratives of the story of narcissus(the lake being mentioned many times) and one of Ophelia as well.... and has been done so well. On its own, the song tells you to not live in your own fantasy because even if you mask it and tell yourself lies or just turn yourself off to the truth ( "I hear that sound/voice again", "I reach to cover it" implying that voice that is trying to wake me up from this falsehood, I'm trying to make it stop so I can live this fantasy a little longer) and indulge in sleep and dreaming, "the agonizing phantom pain is still the same". Ugh... GENIUS! It could also mean to not be obsessed about yourself, thus the Narcissus, and staring into the lake... there's just so much here, I can't explain. But like I said, it could be taken in many different ways! So many layers.... just RM being RM Musically, it's not very complex so it gives the song the perfect feeling that the song is trying to express. The music perfectly portrays that feeling of being lost and not being able to find your way or even yourself. if you listen to the song without the MV, it perfectly captures that feeling of drowning the lyrics are talking about( "over the winter lake I threw myself, a thick ice has formed" thereby giving the feeling of reaching out to escape but not being able to do so).... it really does feel like you're suffocating. I love it! BTS often does psychological stuff with their music to mess with us, to make it really GET to us.... and it works, they're so good at it. You are easily able to feel what the song was meant to make you experience. They're SO good!

Just assume most MVs tie into the storyline for HYYH and LY eras 🤣 but besides that we love range and Tae delivers ~ he’s really into slow jam/bluesy/RNB music so I love that he took this vibe for his solo for Love Yourself!

Also, singularity sounds simple in terms of instrumentals but it is so satisfying to listen to. Taehyung's voice just tied everything together. And not fotgetting that Namjoon wrote the song and immediately know it fits taehyung. The cinematography is top-tier. My literature graduate soul cant stop analysing all the connection, the symbolisms, irony & contrast OMG TOP TIER. the use of red & blue as the contrast and then at times, theres a glimpse of purple which is the combination of the two colours. THE FEELINGS WERE MIXED. TAE DOESNT KNOW THIS LOVE IS RED OR BLUE OR IS IT BOTH? HAVE I LOST MYSELF OR HAVE I GAINED YOU? WHICH ONE IS BETTER, WHICH ONE I PREFER? I BURIED MY VOICE FOR YOU, YOU COVER MY MOUTH BUT THE TEMPTATION OF LOVE IS BIGGER. DO I GIVE IN OR DO I GIVE UP THIS LOVE?????

this is neo-soul, V's voice is amazing and the song is one of the best from BTS in my opinion. Love his dance for it too. RM wrote this song specifically for V, based the lyrics on a book called The Singularity Is Near, which is apparently about humans and A.I. When the rappers produce or write songs for the vocalists, they're always awesome. RM writes a lot for the vocal-line songs, like Zero O'Clock, Dimple, Serendipity, etc. Stay Alive by Jungkook is produced by Suga, amazing song too.

Actually you are incorrect Singularity was actually written by Charlie J. Perry and RM, with Charlie J. Perry being the sole producer. In an interview with Billboard, writer Charlie J. Perry recalled that the song started out as a poem and it was built up from there. They wanted it to have a Daniel Caesar/D'Angelo type of vibe in the realm of neo-soul

@@pamelakrause9311 RM is the primary songwriter, he said he wrote the song in like 2 hours after coming out of surgery. And that he wrote it specifically for V and based it on the book. Charlie is not korean, nor does he know V. How can he be a primary songwriter for a korean song written specifically for V? And I never said RM produced the song.

@@sarahj3589 ok, when I say "wrote the song", I mean the lyrics. Songwriting means lyrics to me. When you do the music aspect, I refer to that as "composing" music. When you do the production, I refer to that as "producing".

I really glad you guys reaction this song. All you guys describe his technique singing I totally agree. Also, his husky voice and breathing technique that his signature it makes a song more emotional. I remember non-BTS nor non-K-pop fans first time reaction to this song they immediately love it. If possible I suggest reacting to Stigma he showcases his wide range in this song.

If you want to see Tae's vocal range, I recommend Stigma live... he is a baritone with a wide range and his expression and interpretation on stage are the most renowned
