Could not agree more. Since just before 2020 I discovered BTS I have been enlightened and entertained beyond happiness with BTS. They are exceptional young men. Adore all 7 of them.

They have their own weakness n strong points. Suga is rock solid grandpa style. RM is visionary smart leader. Jin is like a glue funny wise guy. J-Hope is positively happy sunshine multitalented cheerleader. Jimin is a talented sweet angel. V is a down to earth unpredictable secret weapon of BTS handsome guy. I’m proud of everyone mentioned in this video especially BTS.

Congratulation to all bts members going to washington to meet us president.hoping it will bring whole asian personalities,performing artist to be recognized as a wholesome performers around the world not for politics purposes but for the better future.

Lots of reasons to be super proud of Kpop and Kdramas as highlighted in this video. As an avid fan of BTS in the US, I appreciate the fact BTS' fame will bring a lot of attention to AAPI issues, but I hope the White House is also reaching out to domestic representatives from the AAPI community.

Yes. The White House needs to be reaching out to members of the AAPI community. I am not seeing any favorable opinions about BTS coming to the White House from anyone except ARMY. I’m afraid this may not be a good look for them when it comes to the US gp.

Kmovies and Kdrama are on different class y'all! I am so excited for IU. I have been watching her drama such as moon lovers scarlet heart ryeo and hotel deluna. She is amazing actoress and kpop idol too. Double threats. I am definitely going to binge watch her movie broker, also I will stream the hunt and decision to leave when this movies are released. So proud of BTS and their loyal army for their charity and ❤️ for good cause. We will always support you BTS.

I wish they would spread their message is South Korea to their own people.They have clubs and restaurants in SK that have signs saying "No Blacks Allowed" and Southeast Asian women are assaulted over there and nothing is done about it because they are Southeast Asian.Love and acceptance needs to start at home.

Armys ww are very proud of BTS representing not only Korea but also asians cz they hold such a prominent position as Asians. What's suprising is that the same netizens & media have been bashing BTS daily since April 2022 right uptill before US president inviting them. When will korean citizen behave nicely with those that actually bring recognision more than any olympic medals. No one starts its career thinking they want an exemption from the country's millitary. They all do it cz they have a passion and rewards are money... BTS has literally put South korea in a much better position in the world, especially in culture and politics where UN and White house are inviting BTS to be south Korea's representative rather than any political person. Please treat BTS better. It's a humble request. They don't deserve this high scrutiny. They are humans too. Treat them as humans too

@ahilya b bts are treated well in S. Korea, they've such a big fandom there, just because you see some hate comments here and there (which every group has) doesn't mean S. Korea doesn't treat bts well.

This event has been happening for a month with other Asians participating and making comments on this issue. Have you hear anything about it ? As soon as they mention BTS participation now it’s headlines everywhere. This shows the influence and power they have when they speak on any issues. The amount of people they connect with from all parts of the world and all walks of life only help getting the message across.The fact that RM is an intelligent articulate speaker is also a reason people listen .They are so much more than just a Boy Band which is how most US media agencies describe them. Army knows the struggle and hate they endured from the beginning and still do.So if they did invite them for a Photo Op then they are in for quite a surprise.Watch and be amazed💜

many Asian Americans hav already spoken and nobody knew it untill BTS came to pic, whether its their fans who engage with the news in all social medias or haters who can't digest it and hence whining over the news on all social medias, the point is once they r included, ppl come to knw abt the matter. it will reach more. also don't forget thia particular discussion is regarding asian hate not confined to hate faced by asian american. BTS r one of the victims and hence they hav every right to take part in the discussion.

Also, as an Army myself, I'm well aware of BTS's global influence on any issue they choose to address. My comments were directed at and questioned the president's motivations for their participation since the meeting didn't occur until the end of month-long activities. I did not question BTS's reason or right to participate.

I believe that this particular group of boys, now men, were not supposed to just become a wildly successful and popular boy band, but that they were destined to become a global force for good during a time when the world most needed a beacon of hope to shine in the midst of uncertainty and chaos. Their impact cannot be denied.

So glad that the WH invited them bc there's been such a lack of awareness of the events going on with AANHPI Month this year. Hopefully, their involvement will make next year's events reach a larger audience and encourage more participation. Further, I hope more ppl become aware that anti-Asian hate doesn't just happen in America or even just to Americans. And anti-Asian racists in the US don't care abt citizenship; they target anyone who is or looks Asian. So, non-Americans who experience anti-Asian discrimination in the US deserve to be acknowledged for this event too.

Hope JB come up with an effective plan to address Asian hate with some help from BTS unfortunately I fear statements is all we will get and those who are perpetrating these crimes are not going to be affected what so ever. A good first step would be to openly recognize where these crimes seem to be coming from to determine why and thus find a solution but then I guess that doesn't fit the political narrative being promoted. Some might suggest JB is using BTS for political points that only will benefit him and do little to solve this problem.

@@Kimnamjoon-kl8tc I fear this will only get noticed by fans of BTS who already are not Asian haters so mostly political exploitation of BTS. There is hope that Army can influence those in their communities that are Asian haters but I don't anticipate much of that, but hope I am wrong . Absolutely agree discussion should take place with intent to determine policies that address the problem. Unfortunately politicians don't always make problem solving their top objective. I hope JB implements suggestions made from open discussion that clearly will have an impact, but based on what is typical with politicians who use celebrities to advance themselves politically it is unlikely. I hope I am wrong and you can get back to us on this if it leads to some sort of policy changes directed at those mostly urban, inner city perpetrators and not just lip service on the part of America's president .

So bts is the best choice to spread awareness. For those scoffing at bts at the White House today, remember that BTS has done more to advocate for mental health than most of our Political leaders.

Honestly, BTS coming to the White House is not being met with positivity by a lot of the US gp. In fact, many people are upset that they are bing invited instead of members of the AAPI community. I’m sorry but this is really beginning to look like it’s some sort of political pandering. I feel bad for BTS. They are nothing more than political pawns in all of this.
