Love BLACKPINK, but BTS are definitely bigger than them. BTS debuted in 2013, started to become popular in Korea around 2015 and then started to rise in popularity in the west in 2016 and since then they’ve only gotten bigger. BLACKPINK debuted in 2016, around the time BTS were making it big in the US. BTS are the biggest kpop group for sure. (And boy group) BLACKPINK are the biggest kpop girl group. Also you can tell by looking at their achievements. And yes BTS are very involved in writing the lyrics and producing their songs. It’s mostly RM, Suga, and Jhope, but every single Member at this point, has writing and producer credits.

BTS is definitely bigger than blackpink. BY FAR. blackpink is definitely impactful and they’ve achieved many great things over the years. but they just don’t come close to BTS. BTS has won 700+ awards which i believe is the most for any kpop group; or even just group in general. they’re also the only kpop group to ever be invited to the Grammys (as well as be nominated 5+ times), which is a huge deal. their awards go beyond music as well. they’ve won international awards by the state both in america and korea. so truly .. no group is touching them. now or ever. they will definitely go down in history as the biggest group to ever exist. i just don’t see anyone else being able to achieve even close to what they have. and they’ve been a group for 11 years now.

BTS aren't just the biggest Kpop group, they are damn near Kpop itself lmao jk but nah, they are pretty much the face of kpop, lets be real. when you think Kpop, you think BTS.

BTS are 5 time Grammy nominated and have had several record breaking number 1 hits on Billboard Hot 100 and 200 as well as the worldwide charts and are the most followed Kpop group on every social media platform and most streamed group in Spotify history. Blackpink haven’t achieved these things yet and their highest charting single in the us ranked number 55.
