Suga said “The lyrics for ‘Tear’ were written for the members,” he explained. “When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members we all cried together.” All ARMYs found out this story almost two years later.

Every rap line member wrote their own verses

j-hope’s verses make me the most emotional. Even before BTS were to debut, he almost left the group because of his own anxieties and stress. He’s a backbone of BTS and without him the group would never be the same. The raw emotions of anger and sadness always makes me tear up. I think he encapsulates the emotions the best.

I agree but it's Suga for me who touches my soul the most on rapline, but Hobi really tore this song and i also like RM's flow on his verse.

It just silences everyone. To see the emotion on Jhopes face in the last scene is heart breaking. It just brings up the deepest feelings of how a breakup can bring out all the feelings of love, hate, fear, desire, and the feeling of ending your world. Your my Tear.

j-hope lyrics are literally the best one. It feels so painful! he wrote it having "Tear" as the interpretation of fear, thats why its so emotional

This song just makes me emotional...and it never changes. Initially, when it was released...everyone was a bit confused...BTS doesn't usually write love songs in a 'mainstream' sense...they are more philosophical...they deal with issues that are not cliche romantic stories....so there was a debate that this song could be about some bad breakup...heartbreak...but it was always unclear. Eventually, they did open up about it and, in a sense, it was about a break up...but it was about BTS potentially breaking up as a group...and it was about heartbreak of artists, in a way, being destroyed by their own dream. They really love what they do...they work so hard and most of the time, they work too hard to the point of exhaustion because they want to perfect their craft & they have set a really high standards for themselves...they always want to give us their best....so to know that they were close to giving it all up is truly heartbreaking....you can see and feel the intensity of that emotion as they perform that song.

One thing that makes BTS such great artists is that you feel what they express even without knowing the language or the messages behind the song!! 'First Love ' by SUGA is another good example! (As you know BTS a little bit by now, it will be no surprise that it is not a song about a girl ! 😉) Vocal line's song "House of Cards" is another good example about expressing deep feelings just by the way they sing ! 💗

I said this song, but I didn't say I wrote all the lyrics.I am not good at English, so I just wrote what I wanted to convey the most.I thought it was natural for rappers to write lyrics for themselves. Why don't you talk about RM☺️？

Don't know if yall noticed it but listen to the pronunciation of tear in Rm's and suga's part For RM he uses tear as in the literal meaning of tear from eyes😢 For suga he uses TEAR meaning to rip apart as in the group was ripping apart its painful song but still very powerful and beautiful ❤😢you really have to understand it deeply and the lyrics every word has a different meaning with rapline they are genius 😇..

It's impossible to me not to cry all the time I listen to TEAR... this song was made when they thought about disbanding in 2018. The pain in their faces hurts ... thanks God, all those struggles made them what they are now. They feel themselves as brothers.

This song tear sounds so upbeat but suga told that the rapline wrote this song when they were thinking of DISBANDMENT in 2018 cause of sooo much pressure 😢no wonder they rap this song with such a deep heart and with whole emotions this song really breaks my heart into pieces everytime specially the live just listening to it feels like heart is breaking into thousands pieces 💔 I am very glad and thankful to them that they held each other and didn't disband 😭this song is really special to them U can feel pure pain,frustration and heartbreak 💔 😢also one more song with Disbandment time is "louder than bombs" I hope you'll check it its another pain filled song but army's one of top favs🥺and one thing..thank you for so much for this much BTS content ❤

Wow, i appreciate for the new guy reactor with you who felt the song( i was kind of teary😥too) and to think he just only heard it now but he felt the song. .Suga said " WHEN I WAS WRITING THE MELODY, AT TGE TIME, WE WERE DEEPLY CONTEMPLATING WHETHER WE SHOULD QUIT OR NOT. WHEN I PLAYED THE SONG FOR THE MEMBERS WE ALL CRIED." When BTS just started, coming from a very small and nearly bankruptcy company, all tge 7 boys shared the same dreams to become successful. But with all the hardshilp, struggles they faced the time, they almost giving up by thinking of disbanding the band. But I'm glad they power thru , they made it! We Armies have strong faith to this 7 angels. We will always be there for them! Love them forever💜💜💜💜💜💜💜!
