Yeah I agree I was just wondering because I'm always hearing how his family didn't support him then in the video it said something about his mom having CDs and things from BTS in her restaurant, I was just confused if something had changed and I just didn't hear or see it.

I don't know anything for sure but I sort of assumed it was more that they discouraged him from choosing the path he did. Perhaps, that his parents were afraid he would not be successful and thus unhappy (starving artist, unable to support them and his future family) and consequently did not approve of his choice rather than outright ignoring and opposing it. I would think as BTS grew and became successful that they realized he had made a future for himself and eventually came around. And now are extremely proud of him. Also seeing as he seems to talk about pride a lot lyrically it is likely something important to him and his family.

I hope that's how it was, because I read somewhere that his family refused to even listen to his music, I don't know where though it was awhile back.

I'm pretty sure people turned his family's disapproval to the extreme, and made it sound worse than it is. Initially, they did not approve of his music path and they weren't supportive. But I'm pretty sure that as BTS got more successful, they accepted it. He's said multiple times that he loves them, and he bowed to them during the HYYH: Epilogue concert. However the family dynamic is, it's not really our business. All that I know is that they support him now and that he does care for them.
