If you guys want to see an insane live performance please watch their 2019 MMA performance. I'm not entirely sure this was a live band, at least the brass weren't being played, but it looked like the backup dancers were the ones "playing".

It was definitely a live band. The guys w/ the brass dancing were backup dancers tho. The LA concerts were phenomenal...best concerts I've ever been lucky to attend!

Those are the official BTS light sticks. They are called Army Bombs. All K-Pop groups have their own light sticks.

The little lantern is BTS Official Light stick called ARMY Bomb (but just call it BTS light stick/ War Ball if we want to take it with us when traveling by plane). It has an official app to switch the light stick to manual and concert mode using Bluetooth. And when we go to BTS concert, we pairs our seat with an app so the lighting team at the venue can controls which color ocean appears in which sections during certain performance. Btw, light stick is a common thing in kpop and every group have their own design/shape.

@@GetSidewaysReacts yeah..its first version doesn't change color, it was only white... then one Muster back in 2016 (a MUSTER is like a big Fanmeeting concert of BTS and ARMY) ARMY have this project, idk exactly what the project is called but they cover their ARMY Bombs with purple bag to surprise BTS, that's where the purple heart came from cause V said "Purple is the last color of the rainbow colors. Purple means I will trust and love you for a long time" and he made a term for this, "BORAHAE" bora is from the Korean word "borasaek", meaning purple and Hae is from "saranghae", meaning i love you... i think that's when BigHit started to develop an ARMY Bomb that can change color but idk much cause i don't have one ARMY always have projects for the guys and also for the community at the 4th day of their PTD LA concert, ARMYs covered their ARMY Bombs with a paper that has a Moon🌙 shaped cut to surprise Jin for his birthday... Moon because Jin have a song called Moon

@@anu5880 when I first discovered lightsticks, being the nerd I am, I researched a lot about them. Most only have a few manual lighting speed/rhythm options (like a kid's toy o a simple fairy light set) but other have apps you need to have open during concert and connected to work. Only a few have this "central control" setup like ARMY Bomb which allows the lightning crew to control them even if the phone it was setup with is gone (that's why they can offer setup booths). I think ARMY bomb might be the only one who has both multicoloured and central control, but that might be changed on the last couple years

I wasn't able to make the LA shows, but there's absolutely no way to see or describe a BTS concert other than to go in person. It's 100% an experience and so immersive. Fingers crossed for tour 2022!

yeah, even the live stream didn't have as much oomph. They really had to work hard to drown us out! I was screaming my head off and singing along in a very uncharacteristic way. Something about being in a mask, surrounded by like-minded people that gets middle-aged introverts out of their shell, apparently! I'm hoping for a DVD package later with more atmosphere.

I have listen so many comments from NON BTS FANS who went to the concert all of them said the same... they haven't seen any concert, performance like that since Michael Jackson. I'm 100%agree with that. BTS are the best performers!!!!! !! 💜💜

It's true that Korean groups have their own lightsticks, but only BTS' have the synchronization function during live and offline concerts. So much thought and technical work their company have invested to offer an enhanced experience for the fans. Looking forward to more BTS live reactions.

I WAS THERE!!!!! It's so much better even in REAL LIFE!!! People are having the time of their lives. Singing at the top of their lungs. Dancing, just enjoying other ARMIES and completely present in the moment! I was there the night Chris Martin from COLDPLAY came out and sang MY UNIVERSE with them. They Also had Megan The Stallion sing Butter with them. Halsey showed up with the baby. She calls BTS the Uncle Gang. James Cordin was there, it was so cool. It's like a festival feeling is all I can relate it to. One of the BEST nights of my life.

I wish you guys would watch an "Introduction to BTS" video so you can know more about them. Believe me, you enjoy their music even more when you get to know them as people. Any ARMY will tell you that's half of why we love them! Each one is a really wonderful, funny, interesting guy. Truly.

@@GetSidewaysReacts You definitely need to see both of these songs *live.* They are performed back to back, so you can do both at once; also, there's a version with subtitles.

This concert they decided, as a group, to only perform group songs so they didn't have any solo or sub-unit songs where the other members could rest. So they performed as a whole group of 7, dancing and singing and jumping around for 2.5 hours! It was SO intense and fun!

I was there on Day 1. It was a dream come true (once we actually got into our seats because SoFi organization was a joke and almost ruined my one night!) I knew they would be unreal and they were. Each one is special in his own way. They gave it their all every minute. It was a show like none other. I’m so thankful to have met so many people from all over who were kind to each other and all of one accord in our love and respect for these 7 special young men.

Thanks for your BTS reactions. FYI - when they are on tour/performing concerts - they always play with a live band, the band is not on stage with them however. There are tons of live concernt performance videos with MUCH better sound quality & some have been subtitled. BTS are consumate performers and great dancers, when you react to lyric videos only, btw, you are really missing out. Army is always with you, if you watch a lyric video & an MV or live performance video, we don't care how long your videos are. If they are an hour long, we would still watch! I would love to see you react to a live performance of V singing 'Stigma,' and RM 'Joke' MV with English subtitles. Look forward to more BTS reactions!

SUPER FUN concerts! What ARMY says about going thru a Hunger Games type of scenario to get a ticket is TRUE, but so worth the effort! I've been to a lot of different types of concerts/shows - from metal, punk, R&B, rap, alternative...seen Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, AC/DC (twice), Earth Wind & Fire, Green Day, Hedwig and the Angry Inch - even Pavarotti, you name it (yes, have older fam/friends lol), and BTS had to be the MOST fun! And it was a massive venue, w/ no opening acts (just their music videos and ARMY bombs to literally get fans synced and LIT). BTS are, hands down, the best entertainers I've seen in a concert venue, they are phenomenally talented. And, they drew in people from all of walks life, age or physical challenges to their concerts...they well accommodated a broad spectrum of fans. I met people from FL, GA, WI, S. Korea, Canada, Europe, S. America (and that was just at the DTLA hotel I stayed in lol) who flew in just for these shows, because BTS hadn't performed live in person for 2 years. It was a big, warm "Welcome Back" from ARMY... +50k/night strong (that's over 215k seats sold out, not including the KZread Theater they sold tix for live on-screen viewing of the concert, or the tix sold for Day4 for live online concert viewing:) Goog times! Btw, about those tix... you'd be lucky to get one at original sale price, if you can somehow get one at all. And resale was going for around $1,200/$1,500 up to as high as $9k/$30k (yes, 3-0) closer to the concert dates @_o

I was there and it was the highlight of my year. From beginning to end, taking a flight full of ARMYs from East coast to having a huge sign “Welcome ARMY” at the hotel, enjoying a full day at SoFi with other ARMYs fro Spain, Philippines, Canada, Chile, Ecuador… to the concert itself was surreal. BTS brought so much to my life. I smile more since I know them 😉

Those are army bombs! my 22-year-old flew from Washington state and met friends that flew from Missouri for that concert. You register your army bomb/light stick with your seat number to the app and then they program during the show your light stick to go off for different things it’s amazing

they practice singing while running on treadmills, so they've trained up to have incredible breath control and stamina to dance and sing at the same time. Not easy. Their dance practice video for Baepsae is a must, they're more relaxed and having fun with that dance choreography. Still looks very cool

i was there and the post concert depression really hits 😭 they put on a show unlike anyone else i've ever seen live!

now, imagine how coordinated you'd have to be to hold an ARMY bomb, record the show, watch it AND dance (believe me, i was trying) LOL! but especially because of the size of the venue, i find that it actually makes sense to record the performances because it's easy to miss with your bare eyes what isn't caught on the giant screen. their Black Swan performance was on another level entirely... i recommend reacting to it live (maybe try TheUltimateDodo).

You need to watch the MMA 2020 performance of Dynamite with the MJ inspired dance break. Hobi looks great in a velvet suit and the moves are great. At the last LA concert the ARMY bombs were controlled to spell out, Happy Birthday Jin. He was thrilled. Other groups have light sticks in the specific colour for that group. Sometimes BTS will tell the audience to turn off their bombs and use their phones to accompany particular songs. ARMYs coming in from outside the USA for the concert were warned not to describe what they had in their luggage as an, ARMY bomb because it could be misinterpreted. I think it’s thought that the backing band here is, Ghost.

As you are hard rockers, remember when the fans use to flick their lighters in the air. Well, in the K-POP world each group has their own light stick. And to tell you how important they are see the video called "What Is BLACK OCEAN And Why Kpop Idols Fear It?" that explains everything. If you watch any K-Pop concert, you will see a stadium full of light. It was even at the AMA's when the audience was wearing what looked like lighted wrist bands. Same difference.

Our "Light Sticks" as we call them in airports, are actually called ARMY Bombs. (First version has the longer "fuse", next version had a shorter, and kind of a fourth version again shorter.. We don't know what is going to happen soon. .. ;D ) Every K-pop group has their own different light stick. And it has it's own name. I think ARMY Bombs were first light sticks that were able to be programmed to your seat in concert. So they can program huge texts go around the stadium and the lights are programmed to each song. Like in Fire there is reds and yellows, and in Sea there could be blues and greens. (They could actually makes actual animated color waves to go around) Or in Wings they could do flapping wings graphics with the light sticks.. (See how I slipped some song suggestions in there just secretly ;D) We can also get them work in online concerts from our home. And now I think we can get them repeat the "song colors" with certain songs when ever we play the song or something ? I don't have one yet so I'm not totally sure. :) This is how they work and look ( Just for you to watch, do not react to this

Every kpop group, if they've "made it", end up getting lightsticks. These are designed to suit the group's theme. Mamamoo, a kpop girl group, their fanbase is called MuMus, mu is the Korean word for radish, and their lightstick is shaped like a glowing daikon radish. Every kpop group has their own version of the lightstick. For BTS, since they're the bulletproof boyscouts, and the fanbase is called ARMY, they continued that military theme by making the sticks shaped like bombs (think of the black bob ombs from Super Mario Brothers), with the fuse off-center on the top, with the handle build into the bottom of the base for the fan to hold. The newest ARMY bomb models actually change color, and, if you've synced up with the concert venue via the built-in bluetooth capability, the lights actually change color and flash according to a set pattern to enhance the performance, often rainbows of colors, or a sea of purple, alternating waves of color flashing across the sea of fans, or even to light up words and phrases within that sea of light.

I was there for one of the concert dates and being there was insane. They are such amazing performers.

Those light sticks are called army bombs. They are Bluetooth connected with the lighting manager at the concert. The lighting manager can change the color and section based on the seat in the stadium.

those are called LIGHTSTICKS or ARMYbomb... every ARMYs have them... I bought them even if I havent been to their concert... its bluetooth operated and syncd to the concert.... its also syncd to some of their MVs at weverse... so yeah.... the lights are pretty much dope

BTS usually rearrange and use different instrumental music from their original one that only can be heard in their concerts. They would do special performance too, especially on their MUSTER and FESTA anniversary concerts. Boy when you hear their Medley song in each of their concerts, you'll have a goosebumps!!!
