Right, one just have to learn how the other Kpop grps have been unjustly treated & their talents abused by endless hours of practice, shows, & promotional tours, etc. Some laws must be made to protect these artists from corrupt managers/ promoters, & producers in the industry.

These are some of the 62 plus artist signed with HYBE labels the eight companies six in Korea one in Japan and one in the United States which HYBE labels owns.

I praise Suga for his directness and he is quite correct. Singers actors and every body in the KPOP/Drama industry are individuals not robots or slaves and should be treated accordingly. For Big Hit they have reached the top and will be there for along time. That man had the insight to treat his singers are people, well done sir and now you have defied the odds and entered the western market. We need more well mannered people out there and these seven gentlemen are that and not just because it may be written in the contract, because they are like that. Exactly am so happy .TXT said they got sound environments that at times they get scolded for working too hard for they don’t want them to push too hard. And they are thankful for such environment and they got to get the freedom to do what they want the only problem is some of their members are on curfew cos they are not 18 yet and they make sure they go to their various schools not ignoring their studies. And they let their families get lawyers and be present present also and read contracts and check what they don’t like

the reason why BangPD was comfortable in letting BTS have a say in everything they do is because he knows BTS are doing music because they're truly passionate about it. A lot of the times idols end up in this career because they have a loose notion about wanting to be famous, but don't have the ambition and drive it takes to voluntarily put in all the hard work. BangPD however is secure in knowing that BTS want to put out good music and quality performances, and that's also what he as a producer wants. I remember them saying at one point that once they learnt the dances, they were often left to practice on their own for hors on end, with no supervision. When goals between Producer and Idol are aligned, trust is built. It also helps that BangPD cares about them on a personal level, so he's always putting their wellbeing over everything else.

Trust and respect are the important ingredients in BTS and BH relationship and which resulted to their success. They also treat each other not only as partners but as family. I remember one iconic statement of Jin which was "I can live a day without friends because I don't have friends....BTS are not my friends, they are family". In the Vanity game show, on the question "what is the achievement you are most proud of?". Jin's answer was for them being able to call Bang PD as "hyung". He said it is different to be able to call your boss as a friend instead of a superior. This only shows a healthy relationship between BTS and their label. And with Bang PD stepping down as CEO so he can focus on his music (producing/composing) is admirable.

I was a big SM stan because of TVXQ back in 2009. TVXQ was such a talented beautiful artists until SM f*cked them up because of their slave contract.The group split and I got so depressed that I went hiatus on kpop in 2013. But BTS brought me back. They were so different from all the kpop groups I have ever encountered back then. And I realized that the way they are, the way they perform was so genuine that they stood out for me. I got so tired of so many kpop groups sprouting everywhere like they all looked the same to me. So then I realized it was because of how BigHit managed them. A producer who really cares about talent and his artist's development. Whose ingenius marketing strategy did not damage the artist's craft. Love lots to BANG PD-nim.

I also think that one reason why bts is given more freedom by their company than other artists is the fact that THEY made bighit that popular. Without bts, they probably would still be a small unknown company. That’s why they are greatful, but also trust them. Because at this point, army just loves bts‘s real characters, there not much which their company has to do so that bts’s projects receive love and attention. And I am really happy that our seven boys can be a lot more free than other idols. They deserve the world. Borahae 💜💜

What BTS got from Bug Hit as a business deal should be come the rule in entertainment industry. The 7 normal boys from SK were fortunate to have Bang Shi Huk as their partner in building their career. He has a great respect for creativity and talent. When Bts were trainees each one's creative gift and talent were developed to its optimum. A good thing about bts is that they were not merely singers rappers and dancers. Rm is a lyricist and composer, Suga is a music producer and composer as well. Jimin though coming late into the training was taken in as a dancer and trained to sing because he wanted to. Even Jin trained to sing and dance. Each member have come up with original compositions. V was allowed to act in the drama series Hwarang. But it is not merely out of the generosity of Big Hit. The 7 with their parents and lawyers also negotiated for a fair deal. I hold high respect for Rm in his leadership of the group and Suga whose experience in music production gave them insight into the business. Entertainment is a big business as proven by Bts contribution to SK economy in recent years. But at the same time, entertainment whether films, TV, pop music, dance are important elements of culture. Kpop and Kdrama has achieved global reach almost equalling that of the US with songs and narratives in Korean. It is but right and just that the artists also have ownership of their products in terms if share in the sales and income from their music and concerts, royalties and copyrights. The area of concern for bts is HYBE becoming a global company acquiring or merging with a US company with a reputation of questionable deals. What is the status of bts in this business deal? How will their product fare in this globalised market. To be considered also is Army, a fandom that is also international bts loves Army and Army is loyal to bts. They are outside in this business transaction that Hybe entered into. And of course it is important to consider the mandatory enlistment in the military service which will affect the 7 pretty soon. So even with no plan to disband bts has to have a break and take stock of the situation, personal and business. Here's hoping for a better future. As bts said, the best is yet to come. Kim Namjoon, Min Yonggi, Kim Soekjin, Jung Hosoek, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, Jeon Jungkook 💜 💖 💕 ♥ BTS. Borahae. Saranghae.

The stock shares will make them work harder as they are stakeholders too. The fact that Suga can freely say he will sue bighit if his hair is damaged from all the hair color and Jungkook jokingly asking Bangpd to pay him for using his drawing as a logo in his new pastry business will give you an insight on how Bangpd is like a father to them. But the best part of being in Bighit for them is I think the artistic freedom they are allowed to have.

Thank you for saying that. I just happen to agree with you that Yoongs is an extraordinary genius and one of a kind. There's a reason I listen to everything he says. He has the wisdom of the ages, truth most can't achieve, a talent that can't be matched (probably one of the myriad of reasons he is requested by other artists so often) and a genuine, altruistic soul. He's an introvert and shy, he's had issues with his confidence in the past too but when he's needed and finds his voice, he speaks openly and honestly. A strong, courageous freedom fighter who never allows anyone to fully control him. I see his true colors and I truly wish everyone else could too. I love this man more than love. 💗

Yes, Suga is the smartest of them all. He was the one who dragged me into BTS, because of his lyrics. He is very knowledgeable about how the real world works, he's empathetic, has a strong emotional intelligence, and fast witted, can read any room accurately. And he is also the most honest, has no filter. He is strong enough to show his vulnerabilities to world. And... I really think he is the one who had worked the hardest in keeping the team together, this is my impression by listening to him talking to the other members.

That way they could make sure new stars are being treated right and they could have a hand in every aspect of the business. Their input would be not only invaluable, but they could have insight in an aspiring business that others would not have coming from their great success and knowledge. In helping and shaping new talent. If anyone would know what it takes it's BTS, they put in the time and work and they are fast and creative learners. Plus, we could see them putting out an occasional album or two if they felt like it, we know they like to write their own songs too. We could see them having one the most successful entertainment businesses in the future. As others have done state side like Paul McCartney of the Beatles, after they formed Apple Records.

Even tho I'm a new army and I don't understand much of the K-pop culture.judt from a artist stand point,I love them. Lyrics to the music. The label company, Big Hit/Hybe and BTS were able to keep and nurture a symbiotic relationship because of three (3) main things: 1) immense love for music and the desire to successfully penetrate the global arena); 2) mutual respect; and 3) open, constant, and honest communication between them. I agree with Suga, BTS was lucky to have Mr. Bang listen to them, their needs and the ways they would be able to more effectively satisfy their fans. We are thankful to BTS for their music and love for Army and also to Big Hit for taking care of such a gem of a talent like BTS.

Yeah but BSH has become the wealthiest KPop agency and he is a multi billionaire over 3 billions! Also, BTS a for sure also bought in on shares so they own even more than just shares BSH gave to them. They brought in 89% of HYBE’s sales in 2020. Also it looks like you have a picture of the new CEO of HYBE labels corporation (the proper name for the company). Who took over from bang PD in 2000 21 a year after BTS resigned for another seven year contract. BTS are shareholders in the Co M one or more of them are possibly on the board of directors. Sense HYBE labels basically holds its existence to BTS.

With their money they can even become an owners of that Kpop group,they are very popular,but being a good person that they are they will never do that and with this kind of management which is always fair and square, meters here's no issue on everything

All singers and actors have to go on promotional tours. I don't think anyone likes them and I think everyone finds them exhausting. Look at the Marvel actors for instance, they spend months non-stop traveling around the world promoting. The only difference is that actors get paid for it but most singers don't. Why? Because actors don't own their movies whereas most singers own their albums. I have often wondered why BTS stays with BigHit instead of becoming their own bosses like singers are in the west and I suspect they like not having to worry about anything other then performing while letting BigHit manage all the details. That and the fact that BTS and BigHit built each other.

I've just read that RM, J-hope and Jin sold some of their shares. If I was in their place I would just sell almost everything now, because BTS bring value to HYBE. I think that the share's price is at its peak. With their concerts too. Maybe it will get higher next year too, but I doubt it will be that much higher then it is now.

Honestly, I think the members of BTS are worth far more than the articles stating $20-25 million each. These figures have been the same for several years now. First of all, we truly have no insight into their finances other than the gift of stocks they received. Hobi purchased his multi million dollar home back in 2016. Articles state he is the richest due to multiple real estate investiments. So, obviously they were being paid a decent of amount of money 3 years after their debut. Some articles state their current contract gives them 8 million per year as a base salary .When you take into account, their salary, touring, ambassador ships, commercials, merchandise, song writing credits, etc, the members are quite wealthy. Just like the site celebrity network in the United States, the majority of information is wrong. Forbes will do estimates on industry standards of pay for certain activities, but no one really knows their net worth except the members and their accountants.I am just happy for them that all their hard work has netted them substantial wealth. That is not the case for most idol groups.

Well, I think is pretty obvious that BTS has a different kind of relationship with their company. At the moment they are the biggest boy band in the world, and basically BH is a big successful company because of bts but also BTS will not be who they are right now with out their CEO Vision and management. At the beginning of their career they had to do what any other Kpop artist needed. But things are way different right now, of course they have a contract with much more freedom and privileges other artist don't have. But unfortunately other very well respected Kpop groups with a lot of years of experience, and a high level of artistry, still needs to do all kinds of promotion activities in order to remain successful. The competition in the entretaimen industry is tremendously hard . Glad that bts Members don't have to do that anymore, however I do respect a lot this other groups because they still fighting ferociously to keep their level of artistry and remain successful artists. It would be so great if other entretaimen companies come to their senses and treat their artists as humans and not only like money machines. There's been many sad stories of idols who are so overwork they need to take some time off due mental health issues, stress, anxiety, etc., just to name a few

Bang PD picked out bits by seeing the talents they have years ago. The only way he knew for those talents to be seen is to take the 'standard' Idol contract......and burn it, so that he can make a contract that is good for the artists and the company. Seeing that it worked, he made it the standard in Big Hit....and never regretted he choose for taking the route never traveled.

I love BTS

The success of Hybe/BigHit would not exist without BTS. They supported the company by themselves for years. Giving them a small portion of the income they generate in the form of stock isn't what I would consider a gift. I agree it could be worse, but bighit worked these guys relentlessly for a dozen years. Why did suga have a delivery job when he hurt his shoulder? I saw a female saying her company didn't allow them to drive or write their own songs. That's worse. But that doesn't mean the BTS contract is great.

Bts have creative freedom. They have a say in everything they do. They hired their iwn lawyers to do their contract with the company. All bts members have business/music degrees.

Reminds me of TXT's interview with Eric Nam recently. They said BigHit recommended them (TXT) listening more to music than practicing. I think BigHit wants to improve their artists musicality and be more involved with their music. It's a good benefit to their artists as they will get credits and royalties, and be more authentic with the messages they want to put out with their songs. I am not sure with other Hybe labels subsidiaries tho as I am not aware with how they work. But BigHit Music is doing well in artists management. Hoping that their other subds will follow their way. :)

The other labels under hybe are doing the same thing . They want the artists to be creative. And in the whole process.

Old news, but NEW ARMYs might want to know these things (although maybe I'm the *only* ARMY who sees divulging the "specifics" of their finances as an invasion of their privacy? If this info makes you MORE interested in them, doesn't that mean your love is based on their wealth *as much as* their talents and who they are as people? If you feel it gives you "bragging rights," did you forget how humble they are?) Btw, you guys (K-POP NOW) *STILL* need a new transcriptionist. If your transcriber CONSTANTLY misspells important data (like Members' names, their Company's name, etcetera, "you might need a new transcriber" (or Editor!)) Laughable. The longest music group that never split or did solo Career s were the Rolling Stone s. they are older but. Never felt the need to venture out on there own . only journey the music group did and Steve perry but never heard his music in years. Steve nicks of Fleetwood Mac went solo but she had a few hits but Fleetwood Mac regrouped. it really depends on the person that wants to try to see if they make it on there own. BTS has talent 💜 individual 💜 but Hopefully BTS will regroup someday 💜 cause it just not the same at all.

South Korea is notorious for slave contracts, unfortunately. Many years ago I the United States actors worked for the studios, they were so happy to have steady work they accepted slave contracts. However movies became increasingly popular and actors saw studios get rich while they stayed the same, then some of the BIG names in acting started to break away from studios, hired agents and the rest is history. I hope the members made the right choice for them personally. Some of the members are more talented than others - not all are equal. For example JK’s music is skyrocketing, Jimin’s artistry undeniable, and RM’s leadership is undeniable.
