Beyond Proud!!!!!

Normally they shake hands but due to covid-19, they did knuckle touch to minimize body contacts. Looks so cool to do that with President Moon.

Jungkook brought ARMY there when he had that fist bump with the President. I felt so proud to be an ARMY. And very proud for their achievements. They are now DIPLOMATS!

Using 2 hands when greeting is how Koreans show respect to an elder or someone of prestigious status (aside from bowing, and I’m sure you guys know there’s different levels to bowing too)

I really want everyone to know how crazy this really is. You don't qualify for a diplomat passport if you're younger than 30-35 years UNLESS you've achieved something outstanding. BTS have ALL received one despite the age limit.....BTS SOUTH KOREA'S PRIDE!!

I think all ARMYs around the world no matter where we are, felt proud to be BTS fans while seeing them receive the appointment as Special Envoys and diplomatic passports, also, fistbumping their president, so cool! I have visited 35 countries so far, I love to travel and hopefully when the covid situation is safer I can visit new places, because of BTS I hope I get to visit South Korea someday.

I'm speechless to share the way i feel for them. They were just a bunch of teenagers with nothing but their talent and now they're here being respected by every single person. The fact that they built themselves up from the ground by struggling and battling against all the hurdles is just as Inspiring as them. And being there throughout their journey makes a sense of accomplishment to me. If Growth was a person it'd be BTS. 💜

"We came a long way!" (We as in BTS, we personally have achieved nothing...) I felt that in my bones 😭😭 Ever since the pandemic started I basically became useless, and the boys' achievements are something for me to celebrate now.

I cried watching this presentation to BTS. Yes, I felt like a proud grandma. I’m not from S Korea or Korean, but I felt the pride for S Korea. If I’m feeling this way, can you imagine their families.

Words can't describe how proud we feel to see their every achievement. They built themselves up from the ground, Started as just a bunch of teen-agers with nothing but their talent and they are here being respected by every single person. If growth was a person then it'd be BTS.

I'm so proud of them. They literally started from the bottom and look where are they know. I can't hold the tears of happiness because they worked so hard and always gave us th best music with the best lyrics and everything. BTS as always use their influence to spread love and give strength and comfort to the world. These 7 men deserve every single good thing they are getting now and more. I am not korean but in most Asian culture using both hands or doing what BTS were doing when giving or receiving something is a sign of respect.

K-pop culture is deeply rooted in Korean culture, and I believe that it is a light in the hearts of all citizens who have been assimilated into Korean society and at the same time a light that guides the hopes of all young people around the world, too. Finally, Only when BTS merges those two branches, art and culture are blooming in the hearts of young people around the world. So, I am so much proud that I am a Korean citizen.

How would 2013 BTS react to this... I'm just amazed that in 8 years they have achieved so much. To think that I became an ARMY in 2017, I never would have imagined this to happen. The past few days' events felt like an eye-opener of their impact, with news of BTS x Coldplay (knowing that BTS have shown admiration to the band since 2014 and now theyre collabing) and this. So much happened yet BTS is yet to become a decade old. Im looking forward for more years to come with them. I feel like I'm part of their journey.

them holding out 2 hands is actually a very common way of showing respect in their culture! for example when u drink alcohol with an older person or someone who's in a higher position, when they pour a glass the other holds out the second hand too to show respect🥰 same goes with bowing and other interactions!
