I have never appreciated Namjoon so much. To be able to be in the public eye of the US and be able to keep his cool and represent his members well, that must have taken a lot of courage and perseverance. I am incredibly proud of him.

yess exactly! it must've been exhausting meeting all these new people and having to speak english! I'm glad they didn't perform, the adrenaline from winning and speaking infront of all those artists they admire and stuff would be so nerve wracking, I bet they all just collapsed when they got back to the hotel. OMG yes. i've always wanted them to speak in english when i first got into them. but now that im familiar with korean i feel comfortable when they speak in korean. but im so proud that rapmon handled all the inteviews professionally and all the others also made an effort to talk even small english words. im so happy for them. i hope that all of them will be happy like this throughout the coming years

Uh...when did I say that they were NOT talented? All I said was BTS was MORE talented. And that's a fact. Me saying BTS is MORE talented doesn't mean the other artists are NOT talented. You're making a false equivalence. The other artists are talented, and all I'm saying is BTS is MORE talented. Do you understand? It's not that difficult.

I'm not a big BTS fan (although I think Jimin is a really good dancer) but it makes me happy to see a kpop group getting recognized outside of Asia. It was known from the start that they're not going to perform because the artiss are chosen so far from advance and probably because of their schedule too. And yes, the interviewer here isn't the best one but let's not disrespect her for her doing her job and trying her best. Let's just be happy that they really won!

rap mon was really good at these rapid-fire interviews ..even though he's an ESL speaker and he taught himself.. he conducts himself well and is a great asset to BTS in so many ways.. There would be no BTS without the leader so please appreciate him

Ther're comeback isn't next year, they will comeback after the tour end in august, spetember or october don't worry, they said they are working on the next album while touring, and j-hhope said he will have a mixtape this year too so you can look forward to it :))

I was literally shaking when I heard Logan Paul say *and the billboard music award goes to...... BTS* I screamed my lungs out cried/sobbed😭 and then started chanting their names and hugging 🤗 the freaking TV💝💯 They made us proud ARMY😭❤️💯

I'm so new in this, but I must say that they're super sweet and the leader (I don't know his name) wow! he's the man or mom haha. I think it's well deserved bc I saw a few of their performances and it was amazing. also their fans are the best hahah.

A lot of people ship them (ㆆ_ㆆ) Also, I personally like how BTS have their more "cooler and harder" (i dont know how to describe it tbh) Songs like Fire, Not Today etc. and they have their sweet, soft, sometimes sad Songs like Spring Day, Butterfly, Rain...

I think they shouldn't perform in BBMA right away. Good thing that they attend first, gain more Intl. recognition and perform on BBMA next year, this way other intl. artist will appreciate them more.

BTS is so humble, they deserved their win!

For those who don't know BTS: In English they are usually just called BTS or Bangtan boys. Bangtan means bulletproof. Their music represents young people. By bulletproof they mean that they are like a shield, protecting our generation from the criticism it constantly gets. You would have to get pretty deep into their lyrics to understand though. They write the music themselves and produce some of the songs too. There's a lot of social and political commentary in the lyrics, music vidoes, and even the choreography, including calling out specific politicians (Am I Wrong), paying tribute to the kids that died in the Sewol tragedy (Spring Day), and using lyrics inspired by a Martin Luther King speech (Not Today) to encourage collective action to fight for what we want.

She didn't want to assume that their first award show was in Korea. Tbh, that was pretty respectful and thoughtful. For all she knows, maybe they had a first award show in Japan or something. You probably interpreted it as, she thought the Billboard's was their first award show.

The "any tours in the us" question gives them bragging rights about their sold out shows so I'm okay with it. The highlight after that is Namjoons humble response... I have hearts in my eyes they truly are some of the best role models in the music industry. Respect.

She asked them what memories they have from their first award show. She knew that BBMAs weren't their first one (just their first one in America) so she wanted to know how they felt on their first award show (which was back in 2013 like Namjoon explained).

I think there was a misunderstanding. She asked about future tour dates and that could mean some other things. In some cases artists know when their next tour is coming up and they know the month or months. Even when they are working on other projects. She might have thought that they knew when they have their next tour dates. It's an honest question and a mistake.

I love Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Mi Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim TaeHyung, Jeon Jungkook, I love BTS!!!
