The diary in the last scene that he take with him is the girls diary from highlight reel and he has now lost hope in loving someone else and had decided that he should love himself cause he does not want to get hurt again and he is in denial rn due to the girls death or her being in the hospital and goes daily to meet her ( maybe) . He does not show how he feels to others and puts on a smile in front of them

I just wanna say/type that Jin's songs are really a comfort to me when I was still a baby army before pandemic I was just listening to random BTS songs on KZread while doing homework and managed to come across this song and when it first played theres something that clicked instantly in me and I felt... mesmerized and his voice drawn me like a moth to a flame and the lyrics gave me comfort. His voice is very sweet and more suited for melodious sweet-sounding songs and ballads, not BTS' usual heavy-sounding style with a lot of loud drums and electronic music. Jin's voice is done better justice when given songs with more soft and minimal music (not like neo soul either, that's our Taehyung's specialty) such as tinkling sounds or rain (like in this song) and soft piano music

Jin's voice is so powerful that my eyes got wet..we love you so much jinnie...your voice is such a relief...i hope you get a girl who truly loves you.

I’ve always hated myself. Like every single thing about me I hate. severely lack confidence. It seems stupid but BTS are the ones who have helped me for the past 3 years. They made me smile, laugh and cry in a Good way of course. When they brought out the love yourself album that started to help me try and love myself for who I am and not be ashamed of myself. So when this song came out by Jin I just made me break down. It might seem silly to other people but it means so much to me and so does BTS. They aren’t just a band. They are inspirations.
