lizzy's mom it kinda is a diss track but not in a bad way, they have many obsessive fans to the point they cant use public flights anymore, ppl who follow them everywhere they go , taking pics when they are asleep or ... and there are many teenagers who really get too obsessed and neglect their life , this song is how they are concerned obout this effects.

Namjoon actually wrote Dimple and revealed in his live that he felt sad that it was given to the vocal line, the ones who don't have dimples 😂😅 he was so salty then 😂 in the chorus, he actually wrote, "so I call you illegirl" not illegal girl like what was in the translation. I wish they put that there tho, cause that was a genius pun. And in Pied Piper, idk if you noticed, but it's basically a song they wrote for ARMY, saying we should somehow strike a balance between our fawning over them and our real life. If you go back to check Joon's lines, he said "your parents and your boss hate me. Analyze the video later and start studying for your test." but at the same time, they also sang about how they need us too. It's an amazing song tbh. 😊 And I guess everyone else has pointed it out, there are a lot of male ARMYs too. John Cena, Ansel Elgort (or at least he, Joon and Tae are friends), Jimmy Fallon, Matthew McConaughey, and there are a few others I forgot 😅

These translations are very very very close to what they are saying and that comes from someone who actually speaks korean.

This is from a concert called 5th Muster, their 5th annual fans-only show. Everyone in the audience is an official ARMY member, and they really go big for these shows.

they're not just attractive in a seductive way, but we also love them singing together, like Jin and V leaning to each other in this video while they're singing together the same part. And Pied Piper is basically a Cypher for ARMY🤭😂🤣 But I love how it highlights TaeHyung's/V's vocal range and the sweet high tones of JungKook and Jimin's voices. pied piper is based off the folktale about the pied piper of Hamelin. townspeople hired a rat catcher to lure away the mice that had overrun their village. He did, except the citizens of Hamelin cheated the man out of his payment. So the man-a “pied” piper-returned a year later and lured their children away, too. BTS is basically like that to their fans too. They are the “pied piper” while ARMYs are the children being lured away by the sound of their music. im really surprised how few know this story since its really famous where i life i heard that tale plenty of times as a child so i had to laugh when i saw where you thoughts went lol

I watch his videos with my partner who's a straight man and he definitely feels like he's not seen as an army a lot of the time. not only is it invalidating to those who don't identify as such, it also feels like he always says it in a way to sort of look down on the army who are women and do have feminine-leaning interests. his comment in a previous video about it being interesting so many army like the cyphers even tho the songs are so "masculine" 💀💀💀 welcome to a world where people enjoy a variety of things regardless of gender, dude.

What people haven't understand about "Pied Piper" is that it was a called out to armys to start thinking about themselfs (the song is part of the first album that started the love yourself series, the same year they announced they will stop receiving gifts for fans because they want them to spend their money on themselfs) but also is about how they are in the same position as us 😂 like we cannot live without eachother

i will say that pied piper is a very sexy and playful song and i love that bts can express these different sides and they know their appeal but also they have a lot of lgbtq+ fans by the way lmao sjsj so a lot of guys too and not all the ladies. also ace/aro fans exist and many are not attracted in that way to them and those who do find them attracitve (like myself) don't necessarily like them /because/ of that. so yes, it is not such a big deal but those comments in every video are kinda annoying and a bit mocking, especially since you yourself said you have mostly a female audience.

Every time I listen to Pied Piper and listen to the lyrics I just keep saying in my head “did they lie tho” over and over again 😂😂 For anyone wondering why, it’s because Pied Piper is all about BTS saying they know how they wreck and take over our lives 😭

Fun fact, that song was written by Namjoon, who has Dimples. It's a song containing words he wished someone told him. Also Pied Piper is a diss to us wrapped in a pretty package, telling us that being a fan is okay but don't forget you have a real life out there.

Pied Piper is based on a legend from a town in Germany, "Hamelin". It dates back to really effing far, I wanna say middle ages? I read the story a lot growing up. Anyway The Pied Pier of Hamelin in the story was hired by the town to be a rat catcher and he would entrance the rats away with his pipe (flute) and like a snake charmer, charm the rats away from the town. The deal was the town was supposed the pied piper for his work (lots of worry about rats back then because of black plague) and the town refused. So as revenge the pied piper went into town and played a song with his pipe and in the middle of the night enchanted all the children away from the town to keep until he was paid for the job he had done before. The whole idea of the Pied Piper in the song is the enchantment BTS has over ARMY, the kind of spell we can't escape from and that lead us to miss class, not hang out with people, stay at home watching RUN episodes and making up theories about their music videos. The alienating side of any fandom. The song is BTS entreating us ARMY to put down our ARMY bombs from time to time and step outside and breathe fresh air and explore other things. Because according to them we have enough pictures plastered on the walls and have spent enough time down the fandom rabbit holes. LIES! Lol there is not enough hours in the day to spend watching BTS content, but I appreciate the admonishment.

Honestly that whole muster performance was so amazing The entire thing was a complete army killer (for guys and girls alike) Your reactions were hilarious and as always, I enjoyed watching As a Korean I feel like I need to mention that sometimes, the way songs are translated come off a bit more sexual sounding or just different from what it originally was. This is ESPECIALLY true for Pied Piper with some translations (this one was a better one), some translations are a bit misleading with the use of female pronouns during the song (which there are none) and the “pipe” line comes off sounding a bit weird. Don’t get me wrong, Pied piper is definitely a more provocative (for lack of a better word) Bts song, as it’s aimed at fans directly However the line “you’re not being punished” for example, sounds a bit more 😏 in English. Technically speaking, it’s not wrong, but the way it’s used in Korean is a bit different (more innocent) The best tip for not misunderstanding lyrics is to go with context. I don’t think Bts would use “pipe” as an innuendo any time soon (at least I don’t think so) the title itself is the best context you can get in this case, so, just think of Bts as the Pied Piper Bts very rarely uses direct pronouns, and with the Korean language you often completely drop pronouns (you’re supposed to understand who something is directed towards through the context of a conversation) it’s in most of their older songs that they use direct pronouns Sorry for the long comment but I hope this is helpful for the future I’ve seen quite a couple songs where the translations were a bit off and were interpreted a bit weirdly, but context is your best friend when trying to understand lyrics in another language (by context I mean cultural and conceptual context) Thanks for reacting and making videos 💜💜💜
