I'm a 64-year-old Man who grew up with The Beatles and I can honestly say that I haven't seen this kind of pure, unmitigated joy and love from a Musical Act since them/then. I happened to be watching SNL this night and was so incredibly impressed with these guys that I told everyone I knew about them. The humility they express by no one intentionally trying to upstage the others is a lesson we can all learn from. I love this group and I'm not afraid to admit that every time I watch this Video, I cry, simply because of how Joyous they make life seem again. Thank You BTS!

Not to mention that SNL is historically a REALLY hard set. There's just something about the mixing or the stage that can throw even well experienced performers way off, and often they're only singing too. So BTS actually did remarkably well

@Kyle Jones Their fans sold out Hyundai cars. Minors can't do that. A large part of the fandom are adults, including myself. Nothing wrong with wearing makeup. Freddie did, Adam Lambert does, Boy George, Adam Ant, Bowie, pretty much most metal bands...The list goes on. Funny enough though, the youngest BTS member is a black belt in taekwondo and has the balls to be suspended over a massive canyo upside down. The leader is in the top 1% of people with the highest IQs in Korea. One of the dancers got rejected for a rival company then still practised for hours outside the audition room, which caught the attention of a talent spotter. The oldest member has become a part of UNICEF's honours club for the sheer amount he donates, 2nd youngest has a voice deeper than the Atlantic Ocean, other dancer studies interpretive dance which is physically demanding on your body and finally, Yoongi had to choose between lunch or bus fares and worked his ass off to get to his position. Their good deeds make them more manly than some gross, fragile men with unwashed asses. It's not gay to have a wash for once.

Most of BTS fans don't like kpop. I despised pop as well. Which is why it was so surprising for me that I liked them. Was in Denial for 2 weeks 😂 They're very versatile genre wise, so people end up finding their type of songs in their discography, if they look properly

Later that week I decided to Google their names coz I was tired being confused by who was who in the MVs, and its been downhill from there ever since 🤦🏾‍♀️. I've passed the point of no return, from BTS episodes to random funny videos of them on KZread. My life will never be the same

Sharing heartfelt lyrics from having been bullied, received death threats, openly shared mental health and other struggles, and even in Korean language attracting a huge global fanbase bc of helping so many feel less alone, less depressed, strong enough to get through difficult times, inspiring learning to love themselves. Yes we're protective.

feels so nostalgic watching because this performance is what made me an army in 2019 as a senior in HS. I remember being so fascinated and showing all of my friends and family this performance bc the synchronization and energy truly captured me. I had no idea bts existed prior to watching and the foreignness of a performance with this much hard work put into it made it so much more impressive for me. I just happened to watch this snl episode and didn’t know how much it would truly change my life. I was at a low point and not only did this band help me through that, but they truly became people I looked up to to better my own life. I found myself exploring interests I never would have and truly just wanting to become a more well rounded individual. will always have a soft spot for bts and this song

Luis Rodriguez Bts is huge because they work really hard with trying to use their their music to spread awareness , inspire change and send a positive message . The English translation of their korean name is “bullet proof Boy Scouts” Bts music tackles a lot of social issues , injustices and challenges societal norms. A lot of things they based on South Korean society issues that relate to the world. They tackle mental health , anxiety, depression ,suicide, academic, etc. they cover important topics such as self love , self respect , motivation , not giving into pressure. This is why their fans are super devoted because they respect a group that connects with things we all relate. Plus you don’t really hear or see much artists that do these things nowadays.

I just want to add , it’s sometimes hard to being a bts fan. Some people look at bts at just another boyband and say negative things but them , never bother understand the REAL reasons why their huge. Yes I understand the fanbase can be annoying but at the same time it’s also because bts and their army ( fanbase) have always face a lot of struggles and prejudice. Even before bts made it

Thanks for checking them out. If you enjoy BTS's performances, I highly recommend their MMA 2019 & 2018 stages, their Korean performances tend to be more elaborate, creative, & artistic compared to Western counterparts. My wife says to me why are you watching this so many times. Here's what I say back. The guy in the brown turtleneck shirt kind of blew me away. I'm looking at his smile while he dances and it reminds me of someone else...Michael Jackson. I'm not saying he is Michael Jackson. I'm saying he is clearly the best dancer of the group and he is having so much fun doing it. So much so that the dancing doesn't look like work like it does for a couple other dancers. It's shear enthusiasm for the kid with the brown turtleneck.

Awwwwww thank you so much for sharing such a sweet post. As an artist, it's all about the details, and it's so fascinating when something or someone moves us, it's so inspirational we need to experience it more. I've literally returned here repeatedly to watch both SNL performances and gotten moved to tears. I don't know if you've seen their Billboard Music Awards performance of Butter (the guy whose dancing you like absolutely killed it in the dance break) but if you're familiar with that choreography, it's very fun to watch global fans doing dance covers out of sheer joy and love. I watched one today, a Russian group called Reborn doing their dance cover of Butter (doing the choreo i mentioned from BBMAs), they killed it and it kind of moved me to see how they put so much love into it. You should watch the MAMA Awards live performance of Dynamite where turtleneck guy (Jhope) pays homage to Michael Jackson, your eyes might boing like Jim Carrey as The Mask and head will probably pop off lol :)

I heard about BTS a few years ago and didn't pay attention... Last year I came across their music here on KZread and paid attention! They're awesome artists, very professional, perfect singers and dancers. I guess that they also must be 7 angels in disguise, because they're good people, joyful, well-behaved, friendly...they love animals, nature, can cook, sew, draw, they do household chores, they help charity... They're shiny, have high and good energy that spreads all over the world. They make the day better. I adore them. They color my world. They're all so joyful and passionate about their art. I love them!!!!

they dance very delicate but powerful, but still they sing just like the original sound track during the dance. this is so enjoyable. they are super good entertainers.

They are all perfect but Jimin with his pink hair and smooth moves tugs my heartstrings quite hard.💜💜💜💜
