For the artist, The inspiration and passion are all that they got in order to go on producing various Arts... And here they(BANGTAN) are relating PRODUCING MUSIC as their passion and if they sometimes no longer find any inspiration to continue their work with, they get scared.... Which brings out the inner fear that seems so real & cruel like Death!! So, It's basically the complicated and terrifying emotions they feel when they don't find any WAY to continue their production....

I'm really surprised no one is mentioning the Darren Aronofsky film Black Swan which likely inspired this; which is about an obsessed artist. The actual ballet is Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake which is about a woman cursed to be a swan.

Random reference probably no one will get. This song is about losing the ability to create, specifically to create music. Have any of y'all ever read the Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss? The main character used to be a great musician and powerful magic user, but is somehow cursed so that he can't play music or use magic. They're really sad and beautiful books and this song just strongly reminded me of them. Apologies for rambling, they're amazing books and this song is amazing

After reading the lyrics It reminds me of every Idol's fear and that is the black ocean in which all the fans turned their light (light stick) and made the whole place dark. confession: this song is huge important thing for me, since i can't get over it from the day it came out. not only because i find black swan itself as masterpiece, but also because reminded me of dreams and goals i have, but was unable to achieve them because of depression and feeling numb in heart day by day. black swan is sad, but somehow when i listen to it i feel like i'm not lost yet and i still keep fighting for living. for sure it helps and it's with me when sometimes everything gets worse. i'm not a bts stan at all, but they for sure were a part of saving one soul here and i'm thankful for that.

Butter was the first bts song I properly listened to and now I am finding new (old) songs everyday. One of my friends, who is an army recommended this and wow. I regret not finding them sooner. Just want to ask, if they didn't get a copyright strike do you think they'll stop profiting off the artists & people who worked on the songs? Bcs to see them making a sound & upload in on Spotify, another YT channel so that when they use it on the lyric vids, they can claim the copyright & all the money will go to them. & who knows once all these people start to 'trust' them, they'll find another way to make money off the actual people owning the songs, & pretty sure their subscribers wouldn't even notice/care, bcs unlike stealing things physically where most will condemn, only few actually notice that what they did/still doing should be frowned upon, not supported
