I like how they sing that it's ok not to have a dream. When I was younger I had lots of dreams, but growing up and seeing that life is not that easy I started to lose them. Until somewhere along the way I had no big dream or plan. My mental health was not good. I just wanted to live one day after another. And people around me were asking what my dreams and plans were and I had nothing to tell them. They expect to hear more than "I just want to be happy". I think they still do. They don't understand how a 27 year old doesn't have lots of dreams and plans. But everytime I try to think about something my mind goes blank. So yeah, I'm grateful for BTS for making me feel ok about this. Someone somewhere gets me.

I can relate to this feeling so much!! I am 18 yrs old right now, a long time back my parents and people around me started asking me what I want to become. And everytime they ask I don't know how to answer, coz I actually thought about this for so long but never came to any realisation. I kept thinking that after finding the right passion my life will be easier but now I realised that I need to do what I feel is right and keep trying coz that dreams will not just come from thinking but trying. I still ain't sure about a lot of things but trying to figure it out. Hope u are happy in whatever u are doing right now💜

I don't need to follow the timeline that society imposes to everyone. I need to be kind to myself, take care of me first. I need to start with small things and steps, that way I can do things and figure myself and the world out. And I'm ok with that at the moment.

Now I am trying to let go that fear and think rationally. That's the reason I feel a bit off track but still not gotten rid of hope about finding my answers so yeah, will try my best. I think it’s a sign of growth. BTS always has been advocating dream and progress, but that may also put too much pressure on certain people who only wanted a breath of air, who wanted to just walk and live life in peace. The pressure of having to dream and to run towards it is also suffocating. That’s why Suga produced this song. So these people, those who wanted a break in life, can stop running. Because living, itself, is already paradise for them.

as I sit here crying, coming to terms with the truth that staying in my current major at university is deteriorating my mental health and trying to gather the courage to tell my parents that I need to drop out, this song makes me feel valid. everyone keeps telling me to push further, that I’m close to the end, that I need to endure the hardships of life. and for a long time I tried my best to honor what was expected of me. but I have reached a breaking point. if I keep pursuing the future everyone else wants for me, it will only deteriorate whatever mental health I still have left and if things keep going this way, I fear I won’t have a future at all. it’s in moments like this, when I just want the pain to stop, that I’m the most thankful for BTS. they make me feel heard and seen. they literally save my life and keep me going

i don’t like how the people around me always ask me saying, “what’s your future college course? what’s your dream?” as if i’m supposed to have everything figured out at 15 years old. i’m still a teenager. i should enjoy life and explore what passions i have that i can use for the future. yes, i love writing, but my decision isn’t final yet. i’m still waiting if i’ll keep pursuing that path or i’ll discover something new. i don’t want to have everything figured out at such a young age. that’s the purpose of growing up. your perspectives will change, the things you like and dislike will change, and maybe, you’ll find something new. my parents tell me to take things slowly, which i like. even if i didn’t have big dreams, i can still be happy. i think that’s what the older generations have to keep in mind. let the youth play and explore other options. after all, when we grow up, we’ll find ourselves missing the times when we are young. yes, we have to mature. yes, we have to realize our responsibilities at my age. but in the end, we’re still “kids” that love to play and have freedom. our youth is precious, so don’t waste it on worrying about our future. take things one step at a time. things will unravel as we continue our lives.

a couple of minutes ago, my dad walked into my room and said “you’re always in your bed just texting. my god, do something!” and then he left and I just sat up on my bed and stared at the door, and then I laid back down and cried. I’m only 13, but I am so scared of having to grow up and face bigger responsibilities and I have no idea what career I want to pursue. I like to be prepared, but having no clue what my future will be like scares me so, so much. my dad doesn’t ask me how my day went. he just tells me to get the top scores and shows me videos of talented singers or articles about kids my age doing cool things. it just makes me feel more lost and insecure about my own life. I really look up to BTS. they talk about real things, and as I cried I couldn’t help but think about this song’s message. “i don’t have a dream. sometimes, dreaming is scary... breathing, sometimes these things are hard. that guy did that, that girl did that, the world tells me as it bashes me. yeah, the world has no right to bash you... it’s alright to stop. don’t run without knowing where you’re going anymore.” these lyrics really spoke to me and they soothed me so much. thank you BTS for encouraging me to get through another day 💜 your music means so much to me Update: Since posting this comment, I’ve received a lot of replies and it’s comforting to know I’m not alone in feeling this way, so thank you. But also, I’ve had a conference @ school and my mom told me that my dad does ask her how I’m doing, and she also told my dad about the other things I brought up. Additionally, I think I‘ll become a psychiatrist in the future. Not sure yet but at least I have an idea lol Update 2: I recently got onto my highschool’s competitive dance team, and I’m really excited about it but my dad told me, “Dance is a waste of time, why not just study more so you can become a doctor?” and honestly I’m so over it. Don’t let others decide your future if it’s not what you want. Just do what makes you happy (as long as it’s not hurting you or anyone else, ofc)!

I'm 14 and the same things happen to me all day. Sometimes I get worried about my future too. My parents always tell me that do something that you want. But, they never wanted to know what I really want. I love singing and my relatives tell me that I've a good voice but, my parents don't like this.... i can relate so much to that im 13 as well but ive learnt ot just get through it with my day and let the future come to me instead of going to it people say im youmg to be worrying about this and although it may sound a bit wrong you cant live your whole childhood waiting to be a grown up running away from it or just worrying about it you have to be prepared and you have to face it you think a flower dies when its almost winter? no it goes through all that burden nd then becomes a beautifull blooming flower in spring its not easy but it doesnt mean u should worry about it to or become depressed about it the present if a gift the future will be a gitft and the past was a gift use your past gifts to get ready for ur future gifts live wisely and heppily if it costs ur happiness iys too much belive me if its your dream its enough it is your time dont waste it if its depression face it like how the flowers face winter and when you reach the light you will find the meaning of life and ur not alone on that it hard to give up for me because im curious about what my future would look like and if i give up i wil have no future if i do it bad my furutre will be bad so i always try to make sure the end reult will be positive one last thing forget what hurt you but never forget what it taught you the light will shine brightest when you think its gone darker which will encourage you

As a person who studies A+ I have a lot of pressure on me, but ppl dont believe if I dont have a dream. It's hard to live like this

Indian/Asian Armys can relate a lot to this song because we are always pressurized by our parents, teachers, friends, society to study harder and harder! Education in India is hella competitive. Like if you score a 99, there will be thousand more students who scored a 99! This song comforts me! Its tells me 'you don't have to JUST STUDY HARD to achieve your success' .... 'just relax and see where your life takes you and be happy' 'do what YOU wanna do' 'Just LIVE IN THE MOMENT' Edit: Okay I need to clear things up for some people in the replies. I KNOW INDIA IS IN ASIA! I'm not american for god's sake, I never scored anything below 90 in geography ever. There are two reasons why I wrote India & Asia separately :- 1) Some people (Americans mostly) think that Asians are either Chinese, Japanese or Korean 2) I wanted to make things clear that I'm Indian, And education in India particularly is a lot competitive because population density in India is 450+ people per Km², while in China its 150+, & in USA its 35 people per Km². That means if there's a solitary college nearby, more than 100 students will compete to get into that in India. While only 10 will compete for that in the US. Same is the case for JOBS. We have a saying in my country that "you can find engineers in every house in India" (out of which 50% of them are unemployed) and its a fact, not an exaggeration. And thats because "THEY WERE RUNNING FOR NOTHING!" And to end my ted talk I just want to say that, YOU GOTTA WORK HARD in life, no doubt about that! But make sure you do WHAT YOU WANT or WHAT YOU ARE GOOD AT rather than following others or listening to people's opinion. Just like the BTS members did. Most of their parents were againt their will to become a singer/dancer/idol but since they were determined to it & worked hard for it, THEY SUCCEEDED ✅ So the conclusion is.... STOP RUNNING FOR NOTHING MY FRIEND 💜 (don't let others decide your future/career)

The lyrics are so relatable for students especially in Korea where education is the first place in everything. They need to study in order to go to a well known university and get honored form their family and friends. They need to go higher for others not to let down. They don't have any dream. They run higher for honor without knowing the real goal. Their goal for getting honored is just a baggage. I really think schools and KOREAN society needs to change. Not just studying for universities but how to find our dream, a path to lead us. Not telling us be a great person. Thank you BTS for making this song.
