Greek mythology ftw, man. When they released the tracklist for Persona and everyone who didn't know what "Dionysus" meant went researching, all the BTS fans who also read Percy Jackson (including myself) emerged from the woodwork to the point where The Lightning Thief Musical tweeted about it. The idea is that they each represent a god or goddess in their solo performance as they run through some of their biggest songs over their seven years: V is Apollo, god of the sun, No More Dream (2013); Jin is probably Athena, goddess of wisdom and war (some people have suggested that he might be Ares, who is the god of war, but most aspects of the stage point to the battle of Troy and the Trojan Horse), Danger (2014); Jimin as Artemis, goddess of the moon and twin to Apollo, I NEED U (2015); Suga was likely Hephaestus, god of fire (though some say he was Hades, god of the underworld, which would also work), Fire - duh (2016); Jungkook as Poseidon, god of the sea, Save Me (2016); J-Hope as Zeus, god of lightning and thunder, Fake Love (2018); and RM as Dionysus himself, complete with thyrsus (2019). To top it all off, those lights that came down, one for each of them, formed the Corona Borealis, the constellation that represents the crown of Ariadne, given to her by Dionysus. Those giant inflatable leopards (sacred animal of Dionysus) were part of the tour set for Dionysus, which was the opening song. There is also an INSANE amount of allusion to the Dionysia and Greek mythology that I haven't even mentioned.

Jimin is my bias and my favorite artist of all time, he is absolutely exciting, his solo in this performance is simply spectacular and beautiful and he did it live to the surprise of his other members, this has become a legendary dance like all His solos, he's a genius on stage, he's honestly the reason for being in BTS and I'm very proud of him. I love it and thanks for the reaction !!

Jimin caught my eye at 1st when i saw them Jimin's duality caught me and his dance too Jimin can be cute and sexy no matter where he is

It was all a 41 minute performance! I watched the show and waited til the very end for them. I woke my mom up early in the morning to watch together 💜 i cried when jimin performed ; ; (My bias is hobi 🥺)

This is by far my favourite performance of theirs. The absolutely killed it in every one of the songs, but the Dionysus with its intro performances is what I keep watching over and over again and I never get enough of it, and I have actually watched every single reaction there is on youtube on this performance- that's how much I love it And my bias is Jungkook

Jin is my bias but can't really say that coz all are my favorite. BTS the whole 7boys are so kind, down-to-earth and talented. Love them all. And loved your reaction ❣️

This would never happen at the Grammys...then again, never say never with BTS, LOL.

If Grammys is done distantly as the rest of the award shows have had to do, BTS will only be limited by the time Grammys give them, rather than the stage.💜 can’t wait 😁

@@jamarz907 Yep, Grammy's isn't giving anyone 35-40 performance time. They might extend or make larger the stage, but they won't do time. As it is they will cut off people doing a thank you speech.

I am 42yrs old and have been ARMY for 4yrs or so. I was thinking 🤔 that it is really nice to stan a group that is fabulously famous for talent and not for being half dressed. So many artists are okay but use "sex appeal" to get further in the industry. This happens everyday/everywhere especially here in the USA. But BTS is always dressed responsibly, even in suits on a hot 🔥 day for a concert. However, they uphold respectability and I respect them and their dedication to being great examples of genuine gentlemen. There are not Many of them left in the world these days so the youth need great examples to have a good life.

The first song is 'Boy In Luv', one of their earlier songs - from their 'School' Trilogy. In their earlier songs, you will hear deeper and more powerful vocals from V, Jimin, and even Jin. Also Jungkook used to rap as well. MMA 2019 is absolutely one of the best live performances hands down.

Yes, you can have all 7 for biases. It is called OT7 (One True 7). 💜 Mine is Suga.

If you haven't seen their 2018 MMA that was also legendary. I would also recommend their Tiny Desk concert which I think you will really enjoy. MAMA is another award show that they perform at in case you are looking for more live performances. Loving your reactions so far and all the best with your dissertation.

Thank you for another reaction video on BTS. Some of these performances were pre-recorded, for example the intro with the horses during the final - for safety/health reasons. All songs were however performed with live vocals on stage. Most of the special effects for the Mikrokosmos performance were done in post-production, but the live audience did see some things. The song Mikrokosmos is a very beautiful song as well (it's one of my personal favorites actually), and it has really powerful lyrics - I would highly recommend that you look it up. I also love when Tae growls, which he often used to do in their older songs. V is classified as a lyric baritone by vocal experts - he has a husky, deep, sometimes rough, warm, thick and soulful voice. However, he can also hit REALLY high notes as well. All seven members in fact have a very wide vocal range, and all vocalists can also rap and all rappers can sing as well. If you like growling, Jimin also growls a lot - especially during live performances, and instances as well where he's rapping. Also, yes - it's absolutely mesmerizing to watch Jimin dance. He actually came close to not being able to study Modern Dance at high school and was planning on dropping out, because he couldn't afford continuing to pay the very expensive class fees. However, his dance teacher was so impressed by his talent that she payed for his entire stay, and Jimin graduated as the top student of his class. The members practice in the gym by running on treadmills whilst singing at the same time, which is why their voices are very stable when they sing and dance simultaneously during live performances. They also have very good physique in general as well. For example, during the part of them sitting down with the table in front of them during their performance of "Dionysus", Jimin's chair came in late - so he had to pretend like he was sitting for a bit. They do however get very exhausted from performing, but they are all very professional and won't let the audience see that. During a concert they usually perform about 4-5 songs in a row without a break, then backstage the staff are ready to literally catch them as they fall to the floor and also providing them with oxygen. Then they have a few minutes until they have to go back out on stage again. You mentioned that they all have great skin; Yes, South Korea is a world leader when it comes to the beauty industry. Also, K-pop idols have to take care of their skin - it's in their contracts. Suga has said several times that he's not really fond of dancing - however he used to be a b-boy before they debuted. Unfortunately he had to stop due to an accident in 2012, where he was hit by a car when he worked as a delivery boy, which caused injury to his left shoulder - something he's struggling with to this day. On November 3rd 2020, he underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum on his shoulder. The surgery went well, and we all hope that this will have positive results on his health. He is now resting and he will be gone for quite some time. We don't know how long it will take for him to recover from surgery, as well as how long it will take until he can perform with the other members. We do know that he has to wear his shoulder abduction sling/pillow for 2 months, but that doesn't mean that he'll be in shape to perform once he gets to remove it. He will need physical therapy afterwards, and no one knows how long that can take since the healing process after surgery differ from person to person. The member you mistook for Hobi was actually Jungkook, but no worries - we've all been there at some point. I myself struggled with telling Jin and Jungkook apart for the first few weeks of discovering BTS. You however seem to know the members very well already - do you have a second channel where you react to BTS? Why I ask is because you only have 3 BTS reaction videos uploaded on this channel so far, yet you seem to know a lot about them. Or is it just that you've been reading up on them outside of YT? I don't know how much content you've seen so far. Based on the information I hear that you're talking about, it sounds like you've watched the video "Who is BTS? The Seven Members of Bangtan (INTRODUCTION)", or am I wrong here? If you haven't already done so, I would highly recommend the videos: "THIS IS BTS - INTRODUCTION to BTS" by YT user x C e l e s t e and "This is BTS ARMY - Introduction to BTS Fans", also by the same YT channel. Both of these videos gives a good overview of what BTS and their fandom, ARMY, are all about.

Thanks for you comment. I don't have a second reaction channel, but before starting this channel I've watched some videos of BTS/looked them up by myself which is why I already have a good overview. I haven't seen the videos you recommended yet so I'll have to have a look into them. Also, that's crazy about the missing chair during 'Dyionisus', didn't notice one bit. What a professional!

Mikrokosmos never fails to bring me to tears. Its a beautiful song. The lyrics are some of the best and for some reason touch me in a way I cannot explain. I love your reactions. I just subscribed. You have said things that I said word for word while watching them. My a$$ was up at 4 a.m. to watch this live. They are ARMYs lifesavers. The most amazing performers I've seen in my 55 years. Love them so much.

I have watched this performance, at least 100 times or more, with new reactors. It never gets old, I still get excited knowing what is coming up and I have to say Dionysus Is my favorite performance at this award show. After RM rams down the septer they show 7 lights in a semi circle. Represents each of them "A Star in Thier own Right"

The first OT7 song is Boy in Luv. V used to growl a lot in older songs. You should watch the muster 5 performance of Jump. His verse is like his theme song Jungkook always sings it whenever someone says “V”. His part on Fire and other songs are like that too as well

I'm chuckling because I was expecting dance analysis and instead you reacted like I did. My only variation is Jimin's solo dance. I watch it over and over but yeah, JK's was hot too and J-Hope nailed it. I think Suga probably told the choreographer to piss off because he can do that now even though he can do all their choreos. Insane for an award show!

this perfomance is INSANE. they must be near death at the end of it all. When I saw Jin on that horse-statue my first thought was trojan horse! (maybe making him athena or odysseus) his good looks, charisma and acting chops were the trojan horse that smuggled him into big hit and now he's going around spreading chaotic energy, cutting his hair willy nilly and drinking alcohol on v-lives as he pleases lolol my bias changes all the time. safe answer is ALL OF THEM.

Planets are balloons, they use drones, mesh screens ("I love yous"), etc..The vcrs (concept films), gives a chance for change of clothes +a FEW moments rest)... *Asian shows=best in the world* Hope they win at the Grammys + show them a performance unlike what they've seen before!!🔥💜

This is definitely my reaction when I first saw MMA performance. I just couldn’t believe they’re so great performers! I mean yeah I knew it would be great, but not these SUPERB great. Kudos to BTS and their team.

You can't get out of BTS~ 👏👏

In a Bangtan Bomb they show that the solo work was filmed the day before. The stage set changes and props were the biggest reasons. That and lights! Just a large use of time. Mikrokosmos was a prefilm also. Again the time was in the set and lighting. Costuming and hair can be down to 30-45 sec for a quick change.

That is me I love them all there is 7 of them 1 for each of the week, so to answer your question you can have them all as your bias...lmbo..Great reaction loved it.

Haii... Thanks for the reaction. So lovely to wacthed you. I just need to inform you these things. 1. Both MMA and MAMA always held in few days. Every artist must have more than a few minutes longer than any former award songs. Daesangs artist (like BTS) actually have more longer performance from others offcourse. 2. In MMA 2019 there some performance that was already been recorded before the life one. There are: videos intro when they slept and woke up. RM intro with Persona song. Mikrocosmos performance, solo's performance (taehyung's, jin's, Jk's, Jhope's, and off course the horses intro from dyonisus. All of them was pre recorded before and been on the big screen that time. But still overall is amazing and make me speechless. That JK's solo with water (2019) made this year performance (2020) become more watery based. Many other artist used water too like the Blackswan performance. But still i like more the BTS one. That was top of the top. 3. On Dyonisus (from solo parts-end) every member was represent on each Greek's gods. And they were used old songs from them. The lamp that you can see when they were come is a constalation named: corona borealis. Its connected to Dyonisus story. Also with all intro with tiger baloon, horses, etc. All connected to Dyonisus background. Sorry for long comments.. I like your channels.

Well, that's BTS turning an award show into a concert 😂 But this was really one of my favourite performances as well. Besides of the real concert I visited in Paris, of course. I love your reaction to this because it's one of my favorite performances. I look forward to watching more. For more Award Show performances I recommend MAMA 2018 in Hong Kong and MAMA 2016 (throwback to the Wings Era which was great. You will really enjoy the intro with J Hope and Jimin's dance duet.) Both are amazing performances. It's ok to have more than one bias or even all 7 as a bias (OT7). I am OT7 and Rap Line Biased with Yoongi (Suga) as my Ultimate Bias (the one I relate to the most and who has captivated me the most kind of like how Hobi - J Hope- has for you). Generally the Vocal Line are my Bias Wreckers (especially V). I absolutely love them all.
