One of the strong reasons why I really love BTS is that their music and messages on a deeply personal level. Unlike most K-pop and frankly all pop in general where every artist only talks about girls, money, drugs, sex, heartbreaks etc. BTS music was socially conscious, they talk about mental health issues, youth, politics, and the pressures of today’s generation which any person can relate to. Especially their Love Yourself series that talks about falling in love, an inevitable breakup, and epiphany about self-love. RM once conclude the meaning behind this album which is “If you want to love others, you should love yourself first”. They really encourage me to love myself first because that’s who I’ll spend the rest of my life with. BTS also make history as the first K-pop group to present a speech at the United Nations and spreads the campaign with ‘#LoveMyself’, ‘#SpeakYourself’ and ‘#ENDviolence’ to help children and teenagers around the world against violence. “No matter who you are, where you’re from, your skin color, gender identity: speak yourself”- RM of BTS at United Nations, 24 September 2018. It’s been one and a half year since BTS delivered their inspirational speech at the United Nations and every time I listen to it, it makes me emotional and touches my heart. The speech is so important and will always be remembered and cherished by me. Although BTS is very popular now and even make history became the first Korean act to sell out huge stadiums in western countries, it doesn’t take away the fact that BTS come from a really small company in Korea. They didn’t have the same benefits like the other artist from the Big 3 company (SM, YG, JYP) in terms of promotion and media exposure. They started with nothing and had been a lot of struggle since day one, starting off from small company that was close to bankruptcy at that time, they sharing one room together to sleep, been cut from broadcasts, practicing for 12-16 hours a day and was falsely accused being copycats, plagiarism, chart manipulation, criticized by the public and their peers. They were told they wouldn’t make it because their company was too small and as their reach expended, multiple death threats surfaced to BTS members. “Life is tough, and things don’t always work out well, but we should be brave and go on with our lives.”- Suga of BTS. But they persisted, even got a lot of hate, it didn’t stop them from pursuing their dreams and passion for music, they slowly worked their way up here, never giving up and now, BTS is well known. They were the top 10 bestselling artists in the world in 2019 along with Taylor Swift and The Beatles. They also broke The Beatles ‘Iconic Billboard Chart Record’ and makes history as first K-pop band to go platinum in the US. But I don't think you will react to bts more, but if u like... u can react to bts nobodies to legends 2019 by xceleste and bts contribution to music. Btw thanks for the respectful reaction. I hope u can react to bts more

[Edit]: I wrote this before I saw how they actually felt in the comments. Do not force yourself to react to K-Pop if you don't like it. Stick to what you like, it's not that big a deal. ------ Yes they are handsome and can dance well, but BTS' Lyrics are the main reason most of us are here, please turn on the captions next time. I strongly recommend Fake Love, it has a bit more rock elements and the official genre is Emo Trap. The practical effects for this video are insane, remember nothing is CGI. Fake Love also has some of my favorite lyrics from BTS, highly recommended! BTS are described as "Genre Maximalists". Though their basis is Hip Hop, they are not married to one genre nor do they feel the inclination to stick to one within a song. For example, another strong recommendation is ON (there is story version: ON Official MV and a performance versions ON: Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima). This song has Gospel, Trap, and Marching Band Elements! BTS is also different from other K-Pop groups in that they write and produce most of their music themselves. The "cool guy" is the leader and main rapper of the group and he is also the main lyricist, the other 2 rappers write their own verses as well. They are very prolific and have their own studios, mixtapes, and projects outside of the group. Their lyrical content also differentiates them in that they talk about finding one's identity, self-love, critiques on society, and themes on mental health; not what you would expect from a "boyband". Honestly, the K-Pop label is, unfortunately, another example of America coming up with a label that minimizes another culture, Koreans don't even use it. K-Pop is technically used to cover all genres of popular music in Korea, so that includes pop, rock, rap, hip hop etc. Hopefully, now that it is becoming more mainstream we can help get rid of this misunderstanding in the near future.

Thank you for recommending FAKELOVE. I think they need that more given they might be into trap with a tinge of emo. In terms of lyrics and artistry, BLOODSWEAT TEARS but it's more pop despite it being dark and artistic. Louder than bombs is good but there's no MV. 😂 they have too many good bsides! ON kinetic manifesto is good since the musical composition is unique plus killer choreo. Not sure if they'd dig Black Swan though. Ddaeng for oriental trap hiphop track but again, no MV. People need to undersfand that BTS don't stick to one genre. Kpop being diverse in genre to begin with is already a lot to take for the common folk. 😅 and BTS aren't the type to just stick to 1 concept. They literally switch up every 6mos or album comeback so we need to constantly remind or inform them that 1 song isnt enough to portray them as a group. 😂

BTS are one of very very few acts that represent Asian people in mainstream media right now, and they only sing and speak in their native language, you don’t know how much that means to us. Recently they donated $1million to Crew nation to support workers in the live music industry impacted by the pandemic, they’ve done a lot of important and great work, and it means a lot when people in western society see, acknowledge and respect them as actual artists rather than some *exotic* *oriental* fad/phenomenon. Oh, and you mentioned if someone was rapping or someone else. If you were referring to his time of voice, yes that’s his voice. It’s deep. Please check out other BTS songs like Fake Love, ON, Black Swan, Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey), DNA, Blood Sweat & Tears, Fire, Save Me.... You will see that one song doesn’t sound like the other. Just forget all your western standards about boy bands like “he must be the bad boy”. Ain’t working with BTS. They are a group of seven talented, skilled and humble young men, contributing major parts in the song writing and producing process. The three rappers all have self produced mixtapes, vocal line (four members) working on their mixtapes right now. Just be open and if you listen without prejudice you will probably enjoy the music. They have a huge discography including various types of music. You will probably get many suggestions in the comments which MVs you should watch next if you decide to go on the journey getting to know BTS. Lyrics play a major role in their music so make sure you have turned on the subtitles. Just as diverse as their discography is our fandom, ARMY. We are not a bunch of screaming 14 year old girls (no offense to those). The message of self love BTS is promoting transcend age, race, gender, language, professions... I am mid thirty, mom, scientist, from Germany and BTS helped me through a very tough time in my life. Through them I found new strength and they inspire me every day to be a better version of myself. Actually, we prefer music by bands such as stick to your guns, stray from the path, architects, parkway drive. Bands who started as a group of friends, after spending years learning to play their instruments and then creating music together in a shed or rehearsal space for the live and passion of original music. Music with a message. Music that is socially, politically and environmentally conscious. Then playing that live to people with a similar passion with very little to no mainstream or big money label help. Bands who make 1% of what bts make at best and STILL donate and raise money for important causes. “Aussie metal heads react”. Now go and educate yourself.

Not to hate on BP but I swear every single man ever loves BP and its not because their songs are the most creative or they have the best choreo -it's because they're females and men like to look at pretty things but when boy groups do the same thing they suddenly just "dont understand". It's so annoying. If you're gunna like BP at least like them for MORE than just their looks and stop hating on boy groups for the things you like about girl groups -the double standard is so annoying. I'd actually even say to stop requesting BP because no "hardcore metal fan" all of a sudden likes the most repetitive, techno-pop songs from girls because they're just "so creative" -they just like looking at women. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi , First of all, thank you for listening BTS.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Listening to 1 song won't tell you much about BTS diversities. They cover lots of different genres. (No black metal or trash metal types as their songs are more focused on positivity). Since you guys are metalhead, let's put Iron Maiden as an example. Eddie is the main character, right?🤘 and their songs tells a story. Eg: Fear of the Dark, trooper, number of the beast, etc. Basically, the lyrical aspect of it tends to draw more people than just the sound itself. Well, BTS also tells us stories. So here's the thing about this song, MIC DROP. It is about brushing off the haters. You can see it visually in the mv and lyrically. (If you go through the links that is given below, you will understand them better) They have even change the lives of ARMYs (the fans). Here's a list of basics: Turn on the CC (Eng sub). Watch BTS or any mixtape produced by Big Hit Label (Bighit is their company name). You can start from there. Always watch from start to the very end of each video. No skipping. Never ever assume video ends. After a few songs (to confirm your interest), do get to know them by watching: 1) WHO IS BTS (not updated but, still the best introduction) kzread.info/dash/bejne/qqlkq8h7pr2zgtY.html 2) BTS CRASH COURSE 2020 kzread.info/dash/bejne/f2hkzNWEmazJnZs.html 3) BTS From nobodies to legends kzread.info/dash/bejne/haZ9lqOvm6SonZc.html All music videos, have meanings/theories/explanations if you need to understand further. You can refer to: Dkdktv or Xceleste (they tend to make it simpler for you to understand) Fun fact: Some ARMYs ended up going through books, learning psychology based on their music. All mvs have behind the scenes if you want to know whether they use CGI or real props (mainly real) or dangerous if not supervised properly. All songs have deep or even double meanings, hence, lyrics are important part of the song. Don't jump into their storyline (music storyline also named BU content) yet as it might be too much to digest for someone who is new to BTS. (It is a fictional story) They are Korean but they also release Japanese albums/versions. Latest song is called "Your eyes tell" which is a Japanese OST for a movies about a blind girl and a boxer. They have lots of songs, mixtapes, cyphers, solos, covers, collaborations, amazing LIVE performances, OST, storyline, webtoon, own variety shows like Bon Voyage, Bts Run (more than 100 episodes), Burn the stage, American Hustle life, etc. P.s.(I'm playing their game (BTS World), daily on my phone!) With all the videos ... Or maybe just songs itself, will last you till end of this year if you play once a day (different songs each day!). In fact, there will be more songs that you haven't react to by end of this year! 💜. (More than 200 songs) There will be songs that is not up to your taste/style but, you won't know if you don't listen to a few more. Anyway, I understand if you react to other stuffs too. So, yes, take your time in knowing BTS. Do at your own pace. It is your channel. Don't donit because you want a deal with getting more views. The views will come naturally if we think you deserve it. (For now, I'm not going for your deal, sorry.) The info that we give is to show you HOW & WHY, we(ARMY) 💜love💜 BTS Good luck! From Singapore (metalhead turned ARMY)

Show us that you're capable of diving deeper into a musical group with substance. And, sorry, dudes, we're not here to be bargained with. And we're not all teenage girls who like a group just because they're cute. Those days are over. BTS has set a new standard for fans and more specifically, their fans. It's odd to me that I have heard a lot of negative press about BTS from Australia and it has all come from males. I do mean men, news programs and just plain old entertainment programs. It makes me wonder why men dislike BTS but women don't. Actually it doesn't really make me wonder. Men always make comments about their looks. Women comment on their lyrics, dancing and their looks. 24% of their fans are male and 27% are people over 40 years old. BTS' last albums have included influences by Carl Jung ( a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology) Neitcheze and other philosophers and even some biblical references. Herman Hess's novel Demian is heavily referenced. These guys write their own lyrics, compose their own music ( 3 of them belong to the Korean Music Copywriters Association and you are invited into that by your work, you can't buy your way in.) and produce their own songs. I believe all have written songs but not all compose or produce. Most have produced at least some, while I believe 4 have their own studios to make pretty much all of their own music and some write for others in the group and/or write and produce for other singers in the industry and have won awards for it. These guys are not a group of pretty faces. They are intelligent, all of them. Big Hit took 7 men 2 could rap 1 could street dance 1 could sing and do contemporary dance 1 could kinda sing baritone 1 was 13 years old and could sing 1 looked good and had no singing or dancing experience, just drama. Seven years after they debuted they are the biggest selling and most popular group in the world and get almost zero radio play in the western world and still are number 1. They still struggle in South Korea because they are not a molded band like most others. They are a band that fights the norm. They fight for fairness, they fight for non violence, equality for women and the LGBTQ community. They do this through music and the system doesn't like it. It is a form of protest and you guys should understand that if you truly are metal heads. That was 2010. By 2013 they had debuted and in 2016 they won their first award amid shouts of plagiarism and so much other propaganda put out by "The Big 3" labels who were the ones who signed and advertised other acts. BTS came from a no name label, Big Hit that couldn't advertise them, get them modeling or commercials to get them exposure like the big 3 could. They did free concerts by handing out flyers. Big Hit was broke and on the verge of bankruptcy. Today they are one of the biggest COMPANIES in South Korea. Bigger than all three of "the big 3". But S. Korea hated them. The big 3 made sure. Black Pink has 14 songs released since 2016, that is until they release their latest album in September. They have been around for 4 years and are skating on 14 songs they didn't write or produce. BTS' latest album had 20 tracks alone and they have released 3 singles since. They all sing as a group and they all do solo projects and they sing their solo stuff at their concerts and on their albums if they don't release it themselves. They don't hate on each other for working solo. Suga released a mixed tape D-2 and Daechwita (rap video) was his first single release from it and 2 of the guys did a part in the video and one of the guys sent a coffee truck to the set but they all checked in on him. They cheer one another on. They are like a very close family. They are huge on fighting against violence and bullying. Even spoke at the UN in NYC about it. They talk about societal issues, political issues, mental illness in their songs among other things. They have a professor of Women's Studies check lyrics in their song. In 2019 the S. Korean government only allocated $7 million towards mental illness. It is a taboo subject. BTS talk about how hard schools pressure kids. HS kids go to school 8:00 and get out around 3:00 then go to cram school. When they leave there they go to their tutors and then around 10:00 p.m. They go to the library until midnight. That is a HSers day. Middle school usually get home around 9:00 and grade schoolers around 8:00. Sure they are number one in the world academically but they also have the highest rate of suicides for school age kids. They have so many suicides they have installed 911 phones sporadically along bridges in case someone sees a jumper. How sick is that? Yeah BTS isn't supposed to talk about the things that are wrong in their culture. That is a very Asian thing, not discussing publicly your problems. So they make songs. Read some of their lyrics..in English. If you find a song like Daeng, Ugh, Idol, Daechwita that is hard to decipher from Korean to English then look it up. BTS Daeng explained by a Korean and you will find DKDKTV they are David Kim and Danny Kim who speak fluent English, David with no accent and Danny with a hint of one. But they will explain the songs like how RM can use the word Daeng in one paragraph 7 times with 7 different meanings. RM is an absolute word smith when it comes to writing. It gives you a real appreciation for his writing when you see what he is doing with the language. Suga mingles words. He is so very good too but in a completely different way. Suga and RM are the 2 main writers and producers of the group and both are rappers. They were both involved with the underground rap scene and had a following. When they left the rappers hated them for selling out for easy money and the idol world hated them because they were underground rappers, especially RM who they felt did not fit the classic beauty standards of the idol world. Idols in Korea are nothing, it is a derogatory term. They are not considered talented because they are manufactured by their labels. BTS were never manufactured. They kept their phones, they were allowed on social media, they wrote their own music, JHope helped with choreography. They shared a single bedroom with 3 sets of bunk beds and a single bed. They practiced 12-16 hours a day. They videoed their practices and put it on their website. People could see the work they were putting in. It's ok not to like a song or dance. But lumping them into one genre when they belong to their own is what gets me. Their members are different so they write differently. The songs are not pre packaged. Watch Black Swan, Fake Love, Danger, Daechwita, Do You, Singularity, Serendipity, Zero O'Clock, Sweet Night, Changes ( RM and Wale collab), I Need You, Forever We Are Young. Try some of those. They are different types of songs. Some solos and some group. They have worked with Ed Sheeran, Halsey, Wale, Niki Minaj, UI. Many others they have produced and/or written for. Both in S. Korea and in the Western World. Honestly, I have to say I am disappointed not in you personally but in that I have heard so many negative responses from males in Australia, whether reactors, Entertainment TV or even on news programming. Not sure why Australian men are so afraid of BTS. They are a group of guys who use their brains to make music, different types of music and then they dance to it. Is it the music you don't like or the good looking guys? Or the fact that they use their brains to make their music and aren't a pre packaged band like so many others?

the more you dive into bts music and learn about them. You start to understand why their huge . And have a little More respect for them . I’m NOT asking you to be a huge fan of them , but understand the “why and how factor “ BTS isn’t just currently the biggest kpop group right now , their the biggest GROUP AND BOYBAND in the world right now out beating current mainstream American artists and groups . Ironically some bts fan don’t like them being labeled as a “boyband” because usually comes with negative comments and people thinking they don’t write their own music but the reality is BTS actually write their own music and produce. They have had members who produce music for other artists in Korea as well. Also what’s funny some fans don’t like to box bts as “kpop group “ because of how much accomplishments and impact they made not just for themselves but for kpop community , American music industry and Asian Artists in general . Bts is more then just a kpop group , more then just a boyband who caters to just teenage girls ( FYI their fanbase is diverse of all ages and race ) their a movement! BTS is huge is because they separate themselves from other kpop groups . They want their music to inspire change , motivate people and spread positivity. And challenge societal norms / stereotypes. The English translation of their korean name is “Bullet proof boy scouts “ Their name connects to their music. Bts is respected because they tackle a lot of issues and societal problems that occur within Korea that also RELATES to anyone in the world. Korea is known for mental health and suicide issues. It’s considered to be TABOO to bring up sensitive topics like this. You have to understand the country is very strict and conservative. BTS music tackles topics such as mental health, suicide, depression, addiction, parent abuse , anxiety, generation gap and differences between the old generation and new young generation, corrupt , academic system And teaching people about self love and self respect , self care . Their music connects to all ages/ gender : men , women , boy, girls . Which is why their fanbase is huge and VERY DIVERSE. So please don’t think their fanbase is just teenage girls . Overall , BTS is popular and highly respected because they work hard to become more then just a pop group , but a positive inspiration . They show music has the power to transcend and translate messages regardless of AGE, gender, race or religion . Highly recommend checking out these articles cause it helps explain what their music is about and breaks down their song meanings www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/how-bts-are-breaking-k-pops-biggest-taboos-628141/ www.billboard.com/articles/columns/k-town/8098832/bts-lyrics-social-commentary-political www.nolala.com/en/artist-in-spotlight/what-is-the-meaning-of-the-songs-of-the-south-korean-k-pop-group-actually-about/ www.sbs.com.au/popasia/blog/2018/03/16/12-bts-songs-strong-social-messages

We like them bc they’re talented. Here’s more information about their individual accomplishments: Suga (Min Yoongi) has written and produced 2 mixtapes. The numbers are finally out; he now holds the record for biggest album debut week on Spotify by a Korean soloist with +42.9 Million streams. He’s got a reputation for speaking his mind through his music and has been very honest in the past about his own struggles with mental illness; this isn’t unusual in the US, but it’s considered unusual - from my understanding - for an artist in South Korea. He won the Hot Trend Award in 2017 at the Melon Music Awards for producing Suran’s hit song ‘Wine,’ and Best Collaboration in 2019 at the Mnet Asian Music Awards for his feature in Lee Sora’s hit that year ‘Song Request.’ Heck, his collaboration with IU this year ‘Eight’ (which he helped write and produced) hit number one on the iTunes Charts in 59 countries and broke a ton of records. Something to think about - the last mixtape he released was completely free, and yet Daechitwa hit number one over Lady Gaga/Ariana Grande’s new collab song ‘Rain on Me’ on the Worldwide iTunes Chart for days. With no promotion - certainly not the type of promotion that Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande got from their name recognition in the US and from the news, which covered it incessantly once it was released. Meanwhile a lot of people still get confused when they hear ‘BTS’ in the states and have never heard of them. Even so, their win means that as a fanbase, we respect him and love his music so much that we chose to purchase his 100% free mixtape on iTunes (some of us multiple times) just to show our appreciation. Meanwhile, you bet your ass other artists aren’t just releasing their stuff for free online (to be clear - zero physical albums, zero promo other than obscure messages on Twitter, and zero radio play) and breaking records with it. Suga is also the only person in the entire world to have 17 tweets with more than 2 million likes (we love him). RM (Kim Namjoon, the leader of the group) has 2 mixtapes out and also produces. He’s got a ton of collaborations with western artists (Wale, Lil Nas X, Fallout Boy, Krizz Kaliko, Warren G), and some of the most forward-thinking and thought-provoking lyrics in kpop. In particular, RM’s song from 2017 with Wale - Change - has been getting a lot of attention lately for describing some of the social problems we’re facing right now. RM gets a lot of recognition for being able to effortlessly switch his rap into different flows and for being able to switch and blend Korean with English in his rap - he is one of the best rappers in all of South Korea. His mixtape ‘Mono’ released in 2018 broke a record for the highest charting album by a Korean solo artist in billboard 200 history when it debuted at #26. He held the record until it was broken by Suga’s new mixtape (which charted at #11). He still holds the record for the Asian Soloist with the most #1’s for an album on iTunes (in 91 countries). Finally, he gets a lot of attention for being a genius, but he actually proved it on the Korean TV show Problematic Man, where he and other contestants had to solve a variety of complex puzzles (RM was incredibly quick, solving things in seconds, especially with any kind of linguistic puzzles - other contestants were confused by how fast he completed things). J-Hope (Jung Hoseok) has a mixtape out called ‘Hope World’ which broke many records at the time (not to mention he’s one of the best dancers in the entire KPOP industry, winning a national competition in 2008 in South Korea before he joined BTS as well as many local competitions) and is a talented producer. He’s got the highest net worth of any of the members (at last count, though it’s hard to say given that they’re always making more money) and did an INCREDIBLY popular collaboration with Becky G for a remix of ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ which set off a viral Tiktok challenge and debuted at #1 on the World Digital Songs Chart. He’s currently the most followed Korean solo artist on Spotify. He also holds the record for the longest charting Korean Solo Artist on the Billboard 100. Finally, J-Hope gets attention for his powerful stage presence - many ARMY find themselves unexpectedly bias-wrecked after seeing him perform live. He’s working on his next mixtape right now - he accidentally played a bit of it in the background during a livestream a few weeks ago before being told by a staff member that they could hear it on the stream and quickly turning it off 😂. It sounds epic so far.

V (Kim Taehyung) was voted handsomest man in the world a couple months ago. V acted in a popular historical K-drama, Hwarang, in 2016 (available on Netflix). He is a popular choice as the ‘front and center’ when brands collab with BTS to promote their products (see Samsung BTS Galaxy collaboration with video and pics of V in all the first promotional products). Although products used by all of the boys tend to sell out, intentionally or not (Jin was using a keyboard during a livestream that fans found and sold out last month, Jimin wore a pair of pink glasses during a performance that also sold out, Suga wore an oversized sweater that sold out the next day), V sells things out accidentally A LOT, even when he isn’t promoting it (t-shirts, brooches, a song he hummed rose on the charts the next day). He recently took a picture of himself in a pair of pajamas on Twitter admiring a painting a fan made for him, and the pajamas sold out in 4 minutes (the $70,000 couch he was sitting on sold out later that day). He also recently broke a record previously held by Adele for the song with the most #1’s in iTunes Song Chart History for his self-composed song Sweet Night, which went #1 in 109 countries (Adele’s ‘Hello’ went #1 in 102 countries) - except Sweet Night did it without a music video or promotion). Jin (Kim Seokjin) has gone viral MULTIPLE times (I’m aware of 4 off the top of my head) on the news/internet just for being handsome, not to mention going viral for his song Epiphany which was used by many brides in Riyadh for their wedding song after he sang it there during one of their concerts and made him the most searched for person on Snapchat in Saudi Arabia the next day - the hashtag ‘Jin’s Voice’ also trended on Twitter in Saudi Arabia, and ‘Epiphany’ rose to #1 on SA iTunes. He’s also getting into songwriting (see: Tonight, which was the fastest song in history to reach 1,000,000 streams on SoundCloud (30 minutes) - that is, until the record was broken by Jungkook a couple days ago when he released ‘Stuck with You,’ which reached 1,000,000 streams on SoundCloud in 28 min). Jin has been a co-host on several Korean music award shows. Jin also plays guitar and the ukulele and occasionally incorporates it into their performances. He and V sang together for a soundtrack song for the Korean TV drama Hwarang, and Jin’s solo song ‘Moon’ is the solo track from BTS newest album (Map of the Soul 7) with the most #1s on iTunes. He does popular mukbangs (Eat Jin) where he talks with fans. Jimin (Park Jimin) is Mr. Popularity - he’s an incredible dancer, one of the best in KPOP, and gets a lot of kudos for his unique voice - he’s been #1 on the Top 100 Idols Brand Reputation Ranking in South Korea for 19 consecutive months, the longest of any idol in history. He and Jungkook collaborated with Lauv on a new song ‘Who’ recently, and Jimin has been on a lot of Korean variety shows. He’s the only person in Twitter history to take over All Top 20 trending positions on Twitter’s Worldwide Trends at the same time (this was for his birthday last year). His solo song Promise (which he composed) is the third most streamed song in SoundCloud history, and when it released in 2018, broke Drake’s SoundCloud record for the most plays in 24 hours. Promise had no promotion - Jimin just tweeted the song out on social media and vanished lol. Jimin was also the first Korean solo artist to have 4 songs with over 50 million streams each on Spotify (also the only Korean Solo Artist to achieve this - for now - you never know with these boys when they are going to beat their own or each other’s records). Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook) is working on his own mixtape right now and has the same problem as V - random things he uses sell out (we are literally talking stuff like using a particular type of fabric softener, tooth brush, or lip balm, reading a certain book, or drinking a specific type of wine). He’s been on a few variety shows and his solos songs are very popular, especially ‘Euphoria’, and hold various records (Euphoria made him the longest charting Korean Soloist on the Billboard World Digital Song Chart at 26 weeks). The song he dropped a month ago ‘Stuck With You’ hit #1 on the Global SoundCloud Chart - and broke records for the most likes in 24 hours (564k) and most comments in 24 hours (100k). He broke another record two months ago - fastest Twitter video to reach 1 million views OF ALL TIME - the video was a min and 30 seconds of him singing casually on his bed. Finally, his latest solo song, the self-composed ‘Your Eyes Tell’ was the first Japanese song in history to reach the #1 position on iTunes in 100 different countries. Look I get it - this isn’t your type of music. But these boys are incredibly talented. I’d encourage you to dig a little deeper to really understand why the fans are so passionate. I’d recommend: -The Truth Untold live performance (showcases the talents of the BTS vocalists: Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) - Outro: Tear live performance (showcases the talents of the BTS rappers: RM, Suga, J-Hope) - Daechwita music video (showcases Agust D, the blond rapper at the beginning that you dislike) Thanks a lot. I’ll check out your other stuff (I don’t want more kpop or Blackpink, I want more BTS lol). But don’t mistake the fanbase as a bunch of teeny boppers - there is a reason we like BTS. It’s not only bc they’re cute and have high quality music videos.

Their original Mic Drop version is in all korean with little mix of english which is one of the reasons Steve Aoki teamed up with BTS to make this remix since he really loved the song and knows that capture better if it was at least in 90% english for their international fans especially for american fans (what’s funny is majority of western viewers still don’t know or figure out that they’re actually singing & rapping in english). Another great thing about Kpop is that groups / solo artists mix English with their language so everyone worldwide could semi understand what they’re saying and what the message is on top of that you honestly don’t need to always know because you can feel their emotion through the music itself. They also do Japanese songs as well which is what their new comeback is with “STAY GOLD”. *K-Pop (Korean Pop) is variety of diverse genres which also gives you taste of Chinese & Japanese music* @4:05 Nope, that was him, his name is RM (aka Namjoon) the leader & spokesperson for the group since he’s speak fluent english followed by JHope and the rest can speak decent english so they can communication with all their fans. They know many other languages too. Considering that English is RM’s second language which he learned from watching sitcom ‘FRIENDS’with his mom growing up.

Another good one for you guys I think is Audio by Major Lazer, it's more of a pop dance kinda vibe but the video has some really cool visuals, so do the other songs from the LSD project they did with SIA and Labyrinth

They are the king of kpop, the biggest group in the world today, versatile artist, they can dance, sing, rap and they write and produce their own music. BTS' music are deep and gives inspiration to many. They have a wide range or type of music We, ARMY is the biggest famdon/family. The song mic drop at has meaning to BTS and us ARMY. They were nobodies that become legends. we love BTS not because their are handsome but because of their music and the message that they share to many people. They are the ony korean artist to speak in UNITED NATIONS.

4 #1 albums on the Billboard Charts the only other group to do this were The Beatles, Top Duo Group and Top Social Artists 3 years in a row, spoke at the UN, constantly selling out mainstream artists here in the states, selling out stadiums including Wembley, Rose Bowl, Soldier Field, Met Life, King Fhad Stadiumin (Saudi Arabia) , and many more. They speak on topics such as Bullying, Mental Health, Social Injustice and Youth Empowerment. They have dozens of charity organizations. They’re recent 1 million USD donation to Black Lives Matter plus another 1 million USD from their fans called “The Army” over 20 million +. They are the driving force behind BTS’ success. They have 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. Most Male KPop artists are very androgynous in appearance this is why they are called the perfect “Idols”. BTS are known for their razor-sharp choreography. They cover many different genres such as R&B, HIP-HOP, EDM, and POP. They write and produce their own music. I hope you will check out more of their videos.

BTS isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. If you react to them, again, make sure to have the lyrics on. You’ll see why. Thanks for the honest reaction tho 👏🏻💜

You dont have to listen to them per se but maybe form an opinion on them after listening to more songs

I've noticed so many people assuming BTS is formed to follow a traditional 80s and 90s boy band formula, i.e. the "bad boy," the "romantic one," etc. That's not BTS, but so many of us understandably try to put them into categories that we can understand.

I listen to metal too, and bts is one of favs bands (yes I called them band cause they produce and compose most of their songs) not cause of the looks or the catchy songs those are just a plus, cause bts is way deep than u think. Lyrics are pretty important same as the mvs, both have literature, cinema, philosophy, psychology, mental health and social references. So give them for granted or compare them with any other group is ridiculous, not comparison to any other group, there must be some doing sth similar but not at this lvl. If u guys get into it u will get what we all saying. As some1 who listen to metal I have always gotten interested for lyrics and symbolism and bts is one of this groups that does

I was honestly confused when he said that he didn't like the flow of their rap. What flow you like is definitely subjective, but in languages that are consonant- and syllable heavy, rappers have to rap in different ways and create different flows than in English or French or Spanish. Finnish, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean are examples of languages at the top of my head right now where rap just sounds different because where an English rapper would be able to deliver 4-5 sentences in 10 seconds, they have to twist words and make puns and word jokes to shorten words or be able to continue the words in the next segment. It's real skill!!! 🙌🏽
