BTS & ARMY standing side by side FOREVER! - Rise of Bangtan: Chapter 15 & 16 - Movie HMUA Reacts

Ойын-сауық

BTS really went through it being the first kpop group or artist being nominated during american award shows, and they really dominated. But what they and ARMY had to face afterwards was so disappointing and just further shows how much they had to put up with for artists now to be on a better and more level playing field to be recognised and congratulated.

Hi ...I was waiting for this 💜 The plagiarism accusations were because of a line from a poem and after having a chat with namjoon , the poet got to know that namjoon reads a lot of book and that line stuck with him . The poet also listened to his album and said he is okay with it . All the others were just looking forward to drag him so when the apology letter was issued everyone teamed up to trend hashtags and accuse them of different things bcz they thought that by apologizing he has accepted that he had plagerised .

that 2!3! live clip that was included in the 15 chapter is actually from 3rd muster concert. at that time the army bombs could only glow with white light, but armys made a project to surprise bts and covered all the army bomb with purple wraps, so the whole arena became purple like a flower field. that was the start of purple being ours and bts' personal love language

let's also mention that once bts actually won the top social award, not only they were under a wave of racists voicing their ignorant opinions, but also under the wave of all kpop fandoms dismissing the achievement, disregarding its importance, calling a paper award no one would ever want to have, pointing fingers at bts for wanting western validation so desperately. like it was fire from all sides

From what I understand, the plagiarism accusation that RM admitted to and apologized for, wasn't intentional. He said that he keeps a notebook of lines/ideas that inspire him, and this particular line was from a twitter post. He says he didn't remember exactly where it came from or the source, or maybe even that it wasn't his own original idea. I'm not sure, but the twitter OP came out with guns blazing, but RM was very sincere with his apology and made amends so that the OP backtracked and accepted his apology. But even before this in 2014 they were accursed of copying Exo bc they wore school uniforms even though it was part of their Skool Trilogy and not exactly a novel concept, to the point that even a variety show (The Beatles Show) host confronted them about it during their promotions. It's been something that people have tried to accuse them of for years, even a reported underhandedly brought it back up during their MOTS press conference in 2019.

i feel like acceptance by public to see an asian act in US charts has gotten better, however what has barely evolved towards something better is the industry's attitude regarding bts when bts was entering the US markets with a loud noise you can't ignore in 2017 it was bad, from dumb superficial interviews to journalists yelling racist things to bts on the red carpet. but like, 2020 and 2021 when bts once again very confidently placed themselves in the US charts with even greater achievements, it wasn't better. so many still stupid questions at the interviews that were already asked 3 4 ago, still complete disrespect behind their backs. yeah they can't bs in bts' faces anymore, but they do it somewhere else either way it goes to the tiniest details, like language, misinformation, gaslighting the audience early in 2017 when western media was starting paying attention to them, people treated them as an accidental and very sudden act who will fade soon and never took them seriously. but in 2021 on a show they were still introduced as "a new act", that on their 8th year of career with a constant presence in the us charts since 2016 and at that point 4 Billboard hot100 number one songs, which places them in one line with such names as Ariana Grande media never bothered to google, to check, to know them better, always making assumptions the second they heard 'kpop' or 'boyband' near 'BTS'. and often after talking about BTS, articles include paragraphs about some other kpop groups that aren't even in the picture like it's some kind of package deal and if bts' records are a collective achievement and a college group project. it's terrifying to say how many articles there's disrespecting, misgendering, missnaming, dismissing their talents, music, message, when it's their work to do research. they just made themselves an image of BTS, who they'd like to mock, and spread this image to the masses. all BTS get is skepticism about their work and ambitions and it's not only about some individuals like journalists or interviewers or other public personas of sorts, but about the mechanisms of the industry itself, about the big corporations that do not want bts in their space at all. like billboard, like grammy, etc when a western artist goes from a high place in charts to 30-50th place they "move". when BTS' song does that it "dips". when western artist rises in charts, it's just a rising in charts, when BTS do that, there is a whole break down article about how "unnatural" the numbers are, and what they claim to be unnatural is fan's support. just because the fandom is that big we are called bots and chart manipulators daily. they say BTS' fans buy songs/albums on purpose , so that's an artificial charting numbers. excuse me, what else fans of a music group should do to support the artist if not buy their music? or let's talk how half of all #1 songs got that place with bundles and not the actually music sales Time magazine in a BTS special edition they wanted us to buy for a flying price said "This 96 page full color special edition includes the origins of K-pop (which is a 5 billion dollar industry worldwide) and boy band hall of fame, including The Backstreet Boys and NSYNC, who paved the way for BTS ". do i have to name the list of things that are so wrong here? why would i like to read about other kpop and western groups in a bts edition? how did english speaking white bands pave the way for BTS? have they came from a full mode hating kpop industry too? or, okay, simply from another industry at least? not even speaking about the amount of stupid mistakes army found in the snippet of this edition, like naming them wrong or linking pictures to the event BTS never even attended. and giving a whole paragraph to a military theme, as if it's fun the amount of frustration i have accumulated during these years is immense lol

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. I've seen a 3 hr SVT guide so i am up for anything. lol. This was fun. A rollercoaster of emotions true. A good chap. Loved seeing V recording his song and Yoongi creating his studio. He is so great with lyrics, nods furiously. I love the stats in this. Just wow. I did not know John Legend was Tae's fav musician. I wonder if that is still true. Hugs. -NY USA 2019 Army💟 @roza914 said on 11/11/23 Jin wrote Suga a letter: "The members will support you because you are Bangtan's pride..." The letter that Jin wrote to Suga was emotional. All the members were supposed to write a letter to ARMY (Japan, 2014), but Jin wrote to Yoongi. During those years, Yoongi had a difficult time. And his hyung wrote him a letter of support! Suga shows by actions how much he loves them. Suga' shoulder where he had a scar from the accident, he got a tattoo of 7...he was healed by the members. In every interview and at his concerts, he only mentioned his brothers! J-hope wanted to leave the group, but the members and RM said that nothing would work without him. He trusted them. That's what sets them apart from other bands. This is their connection. The main answer to their success is their FAMILY, TEAM relationships. And also BTS was and remains the 7th artist whose priorities are honesty and ARMY. How grateful we are to them and how grateful they are to us! We are their partners 🤝💜 @pambarab5506 said on 12/6/23 Back in 2017 most of the American public and some of the music industry did not know who BTS was. This was a fan voted award and Army decided to show what BTS and Army could do. The voting period was about 2 weeks long and Army voted... and voted... and voted. The final tally for BTS was over 300M votes. It set a Billboard record. This was the first award that BTS won in the US and really opened the eyes of the American music industry. 💜 @cnot4948 said on 12/6/23 In this episode you can see Suga going shopping and getting excited over the new equipment he bought on tour. Them going to each other's hotel rooms and bringing food or checking up on each other. A lot of footage is from their docuseries 'Burn The Stage'. The members getting ready before the Billboard awards, at the awards and afterwards returning to their hotel to celebrate with their fans. If you noticed, none of the interviewers asked them anything about their music, all they wanted to know was how they could have such a large social media following. Well this episode showed how. They share so much with their fans and this doesn't just create a huge fanbase - this creates fans that really get to know you as a person not just a performer. Something else to take note of is the award they won at Billboard was Top Social Artist (a fan voted award). At this point (2017) they still weren't being recognized for their music. Funnily enough, after winning this award 4 years running Billboard removed the category since no other artist stood a chance at winning despite the fact that Bieber won it 6 years in a row and they didn't see that as a problem then. Side note: The American Music Awards was one of the first ones to let them perform and to actually nominate them for awards in a music category. In America that is. And yes the racism does still exist. After getting ZERO nominations for the Grammy's this year there were still hate comments under the Grammy nomination video. Which is like why? Also I personally believe they didn't get nominated this year because they will be in the military at the time of the awards and wouldn't be able to perform. If the Grammy's can't use them for clickbait then why bother nominating them. I predict there will be no nominations for them next year either but they will (magically) get nominated in 2025 because they will all be out of the military and able to perform again. Just my opinion.
