Man, the boys all wanted material to write about, they have enough with all this drama to make a whole album. I want them to laugh in everyone’s face and tell them to F off. 💜💜There's a saying that goes something like this,"Just throw it at the wall, and let's see what sticks". When people don't have anything honestly bad to say about someone they want to defame, they will just throw anything out there, to see what they can get people to believe. Because like you said, Jose, some people will believe and hold on to just allegations against someone, whether they are true or not, sometimes this tactic will work. These are usually people who want to believe the worst anyway. Honest people will wait for the truth, and not believe everything they hear. Long time fans already know the truth so won't fall for the rumors. In the end, the truth is the best defense! As frustrating as it is to keep hearing the same old allegations being repeated, we know BTS will be just fine. her smear campaign definitely had help from viral marketing companies, kpop stans and likely other competitors. Kakao is notorious for pushing bad articles of their competitors. They did to LeSsera when they first debuted and i know they pissed when Hybe asked them to be investigated for insider trading and corruption over the SM buyout debacle. several of their high level ceos went to trial and was found guilty.

What they have done for South Korea you can put numbers on it. It's sad that they even have to hear something like this.

I just saw a video that showed the original article on naver on may 2.. it said the ministry had received petitions but they did not confirm that they will re open/ re investigate.. the article titles say they will order an investigation but if you actually read and understand the whole article they only say they recieved petitions but it doesn't confirm that they will do the investigation

Exactly. Plus, because the statute of limitations has passed, the Government would have to set aside the rule of law - probably requiring an act of Parliament - if they did consider investigating a matter that has already been decided.

The article only confirmed that the govt agency RECEIVED the request to investigate. The article writer then speculated on what he expects to happen and making it sound like they're facts. But again, take note, the Korean govt agency HAS NOT CONFIRMED that they will actually investigate. This case has already been closed back in 2018. I think it's the writer (I hesitate to call him journalist) who should apologize, not the SK govt.

They already went to court about it in 2017 and the case was closed as they didn’t do any saejagi. They are saying that there is a petition filed to have them investigation, the problem with that is that the statute of limitation means they cannot be taken to court again about this same accusation. There is a channel called Asian Entertainment and culture who has done a great video explaining the issue.

I hope Hybe sues the butt off of her, and all agencies that print/post that 💩 for defamation of character!

I don't know about that? We already don't have a favorable view of your government and news media. BTS has done so much to put S. Korea on the map. Most of us would have taken zero interest in your culture, language, or have traveled to your country if it wasn't for BTS. All of this and your government couldn't have given them an exception to their military service when they do it for other insignificant people. The whole thing with the Busan concert and them having to float the whole bill and now this. The Korean government should just put a stop to all this bullshit. Yes, sure I have watched a few kdrams before I became an army but I was never so deeply invested into their culture or had ever thought about visiting the country itself. SK hasn't confirmed they will reopen the case. realistically it'll just be a waste of taxpayer money. Bangtan's history is already known, acknowledged and celebrated. Not just locally but internationally as well. The person who filed that petition is just giving the rapline new materials to work with. ARMY will then make it a hit and prove (once again) no manipulation is ever needed when it comes to BTS.

HI Jose, I have been watching KPOP Shock and Asian Entertainment and Culture KZread and both have said that as far as the allegations go. A petition has been filed that's it. The government hasn't come out and said that they are investigating. The department where the petition was filed have acknowledged that they have received the petition and that is it so far. KPOP Shock is trying to find out WHO filed the petition. All of the media articles in relation to this are all referencing the one Newspaper and you kind of have to read between the lines. Definitely antis out in full force. As frustrating as it is we just to have to wait and see how this plays out.

Thank you. I just left the same comment, essentially. And honestly, it may well have been an automated acknowledgement of receiving the petition, with standardized wording. After all, the Government would have to set aside the law to do anything - which would probably require going through a parliamentary process. So everyone can relax, take a breath, and focus on the actual issues. And support BTS, BigHit, and HYBE.

Right. Petition received - and probably an automated reply sent.

The one article is misleading and i believe the translation was off. The ministry did not say that they will order an investigation. Someone posted a petition on their website, they responded that they received the petition and would REVIEW it. That's it, nothing else was said. This is confirmed by report kim in Korea. Watch his videos, he does proper research from credible sources and is able to give us the proper translation of these articles.

You are absolutely right, Jose. It's not that we worry that the boys are guilty of anything, it's that the whole situation is just frustrating and upsetting. Everyone is just using them for hype. And the statement about the possibilty of Order of Cultural Merit being taken from them ... Apart from the chart situation back in 2017, there's an undeniable fact that nobody in SK did more for promotion of Korean culture and Korean language than BTS. The ungratefullness just aggravates me.

I am getting tired of this mess. Their government is literraly showing to the whole world how mess up their officials and people are.. ARMY Fighting!!!

It blows my mind that their own country who acknowledged their vast contribution to their GDP is making these accusations to benefit whoever even started this. Time and time again, they've proven so much and as someone who's been to a city where they hold concerts at, tourism just explodes. I'm sure they've witnessed that themselves. What else do they want? They're already in the military to better themselves and to shut people who are still up to now debating if they should've been exempted or not!! If anything, they are promoting the military inadvertently as well!! Can you at least for one moment try to support them for all the good they've done to the country???!!

I watched other channel that covered this bts issue and they said that the news is not reporting it correctly. They said some people demand for the investigation but the Korean government have not declared that they will investigate because the statute of limitation for this issue had expired.

Partly this is because of album sales- So many don’t understand the album . It is not in the old days when someone put a record in a sleeve And it was sold that way ! These albums are CDs , and each album/CD can be sold with different inclusions, including photographs. This is why “fans” in ALL KPOP Groups multiple copies of an album. They are collecting the photographs ! It’s no different than collecting anything else in this world, Pokémon, McDonald’s toys, baseball cards, pretty much anything that is put out there as a “collectible “! You must buy multiples in order to get the complete set ! That is all any K-pop fan is doing, including BTS Army !! We buy multiple albums to obtain the different photo cards. Yes, that increases sales - But if everyone in the K-pop genre has the same choice to do the same activity Then there is nothing wrong with it ! I think the confusion comes when people don’t realize How many fans there are of BTS !! It is just like going to a sports game, baseball, football, hockey - Sometimes the stadium is totally full at every single solitary game home and away Other teams -consistently have 10 people in the stands . BTS Army is huge in numbers ! If someone looked into that fact -they would see that it is not manipulation- There are just a ton of humans out there who are buying these albums . The same human who fill up the stands -crash servers-sell merchandise and tickets in a matter of seconds- This is not a figment of a imagination - Set up a committee to look into the facts- They are all TRUE !!!! A very simple test is when JK appeared in New York City - How many artists can draw over 200,000 humans to see him sing-in less than 30 minutes? Just one test of the facts !

I stand by BTS. Once BTS are done with their military obligations, BTS will be fine. All this nonsense was expected while they are on duty. I will continue to support BTS.

As I understand it and the channel called Asian Culture and Entertainment explained that someone submitted a petition about the chart manipulation by BTS and the office that received the petition stamped it as received. This doesn’t mean the government will investigate but rather they have to review it as anyone can submit a petition for whatever the reasons. It apparently started with the Navers platform and 1 journalist article suggesting chart manipulation but those crazy kpoppies who hate BTS just ran with it creating chaos and turmoil. I hope HYBE will investigate and sue Navers and the journalist.

I watched the same video you did today. That is correct they just stamped that they received it they have to acknowledge that they received the complaint. It doesn't mean that they're going to do another whole investigation, it's been done and it cleared BTS of any wrong doing. 💜

but did she say anything about the awards that woud be taken away from them if they are found gulty? i mean this Jose read looked a little more in debth with the award witch was said. so it feels like they are going to take this serious now that everyone knows about it.

I really hope that the boys are doing ok with all this going on. They are away from their family, friends and normal support groups. Just going into the military would be tough on mental health so they really don't need this as well.

We as ARMY know that at the time they are looking at, 2017, the company was close to bankruptcy. They couldn't have bought the amount of records they are accused buying. Also, didn't the government already do an investigation on these allegations years ago and found them to be false. I think I hear Cypher 5 and 6 being written in a barracks somewhere in South Korea. 😅🥴😵‍💫 Thanks for all you do Jose. Keep up the good work. 👍

Hey Jose, I think the headline of this video is unfortunate. I would have put something like, “ Suspicious revisiting of an old BTS investigation”. Something less brutal to Hybe / BTS.

Honestly, the fact that BTS continues to choose to live in SK really baffles me. As much as they are adored, appreciated, and accepted in every single other country on the freakin planet, should give pause to craziness like this. I hope and pray that the members can find peace and happiness wherever they choose to live once they finish serving the country that time and time again causes them so much grief and pain. I hope they move to countries that know how to appreciate them for who they are and what they stand for.
