Bside A1 Detector & Multimeter
Ғылым және технология
In this video we look at the A1 meter from Bside (amzn.to/42AB6La). TLDR: It sucks. It doesn't use standard 4mm banana jacks for the leads, menu system is somewhat incomprehensible. Also there are no fuses for protection of the user. Skip this one.

HEY YOU ABOUT TO POST SOMETHING STUPID:
Yes, I know my hands are large/fat. It's because of a heart condition I suffer from called Congestive Heart Failure. Here's a link to some information about CHF: cle.clinic/2TdS2Ux
One of the symptoms is that it causes fluid retention, mostly in the hands, feet/ankles, and face..

Thanks for your honest evaluation Paul!
Hey! You saved me $20 !
Evaluating meters using the same probes is an excellent approach towards eliminating probe effects, it's akin to drinking from the same flask to evaluate exquisite liquors.
Totally disagree. I have same multimeter and think it's great in many ways. It's small and handy ideally suits for basic AC electrical works (for components testing better use transistor tester). It has very sensitive noncontact wire detector. Large display digits with different illumination also convenient

Ok, I'm happy it works for you, I just can't recommend it.
Thanks 🙏
When I evaluate either software or hardware, I have the following levels in mind: 0: IS IT SAFE TO USE? 1: Is the basic functionality accessible without reading ANY instructions? 2: Is the slightly advanced (mildly nuanced) functionality understandable via build-in help(software) or quick reference card? 3: If the manual is not included but is accessible on line, can it be downloaded and printed? 4: Is the manual readable without a magnifying glass and are the pictures/drawings clear, well marked and understandable? 5: Are the full details of all capabilities available in the included manual? A no to any of the above terminates the evaluation immediately with a result of failure.
Using the same probes when testing equipment eliminates the unknown variable of the included probes and tests solely the meter itself. 👍
Can’t believe we wait over ten minutes before tearing into it. 🍻
Hey you can always give it to your neighbours dog, (minus the battery of course) ...
Saved me $20! Even the cheap DT 830 meter can do more! The Aneng 8008 is much better for the same price.
Back before you had to go back ro the manual to work out the magic key presses to get to capacitance mode, i had come to that conclusion. It wont get used enough for it to become muscle memory, so it will always need the manual. A £20 basic scope with intuitive controls look way better.
Onry uan spring rorr?

@@learnelectronics dang. seems like a really cool place to learn and hang out with like minded guys. And ur videos are the best. But my ass broke! Ill keep giving u likes tho.
Until it has different probe connectors :)
Can anyone explain why AAA batteries cost more than AA batteries?
I'm guessing that's not getting reassembled...

Nope
Maybe before doing a evaluation you completely read the manual??😅
All I know is your batteries will die pretty quickly with the white LED light always on. ☮️ brother.
Man keep in mind, Bside probably sold thousands of these craps to Amazon for like 2-3 $ /piece ... And then Amazon resell to you for 20 $...
File "13"........(TRASH).......:)
no capacity mesurong
Not much to recommend it.
Complicité staff sir i dislike it
