FUN FACT: akutagawa was almost trafficked! he says so in BEAST (about a kidnapping ring and their methods of holding hostages in vol. 2): "i can't speak for the latter, but the former is my territory. i am painfully aware of how they seize and sell poor children." that doesn't say much, but an unofficial translation (i read on mangadex) said something along the lines of "i am painfully aware of that method because i was once almost victim to it." so uh. do with that what you will!

@@UrLocalRudePerson yep! so if you take into consideration all of his friends dying and only being able to save his sister (though barely in BEAST), being abused for two years, developing a lung disease because of the mistreatment, being abandoned by his abuser, his mentor, the one person who can tell him who and what to be for four years, DYING AT AGE 20, and coming back to life without control of his body only to attack his coworkers and lead to his sister's kinda-death as well. akutagawa's life fucking sucks. also, yes, you read that right! akutagawa never once coughs or shows sign of illness in BEAST, but he didn't in what we've seen of him when he was younger in flashbacks either, so he developed the lung disease because of dazai's abuse toward him! have fun with all of this! pookie!
