BSA Gold Star 650 - Walk Around and Short Ride Out

In this video, we take a first look at the BSA Gold Star 650 and take her for a short ride out. It was great fun and I really enjoyed a little bit of history with a modern twist; it was definitely reminiscent of riding an old bike that's been dragged in to the 21st century. It was also good to compare it to the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 that I took out a few weeks ago. Thanks, again, to Kings Two Wheel Center in Kidlington for letting us take out one of their demonstrators.

Thanks for the feedback. Once we know someone who has bought one, we'll see if we can get it in the shed for a few mods, like we did with the Royal Enfield Metroe 350...

Day after day dozens more "reviews" of the barge-like Mahindra. One wonders if money is somehow involved.

You don't have to watch them. Firstly, we don't take money to review bikes. Secondly, we're lucky that people let us take out their bikes as we just like riding different bikes. Thirdly, who's going to offer money to a tiny little channel like ours?
Not a BSA. Not a Gold Star. Want a good 650cc single? Buy a Suzuki DR.

You're right that it's not the same thing as a Goldstar from the first half of the 20th Century. It's a Motorcycle, and it's actually quite nice. A DR650 is an interesting alternative...For me (Camerman / Editor), if I were buying a larger single, it would have to be the CCM Spitfire (Chief Fettler doesn't like them). We all have different tastes.
