that left handed shot was worth the price of admission on it's own. One of the drills my instructor used was to put a tee in the ground about 1 inch in front of the ball and told me to hit it out of the ground.

The perception of "pro" in any sport these days isn't as high as what it should be at times. myself included forget that in this case for example. Bryson was top 20 player in the world when this was posted. "Oh hes not even top 10" but hes in the top 20 players out of 7.5billion people on the planet & 60 million that play golf. Goes for all pro sports. Its crazy how good these guys really are.

yeerboi oh 100% your local pro can go low on munis and other courses in the area but will get smoked on PGA level courses

@@MrMGR1986 yep you find any club champ scratch golfer and out them against a tour pro...even one that struggles to keep his card grinding out mini tour events...he would wipe his ass with the club champ with no sweat...a guy like Bryson would consistently be in the 50s on a local muni...every par 5 in 2, driving lots of par 4s and those he didnt would have a chip to get on a green much easier to deal with than what hes used to do...it would be a joke

Literally went to the range tonight with these tips in mind and had the most consistently good driving range trip ever.

I became a Bryson fan after this.

@@jmarkkuntz for people who spend the majority of their time on golf courses and at practice facilities, no it is not. With one range session to warm up, I can break 90 from the opposite side of the ball, and I'm just an amateur. Do you think Steph Curry cant hit a left handed jump shot? Can Connor McDavid not shoot a hockey puck left handed? Why would you assume Bryson can't swing lefty? Just because you can't doesn't mean it is hard to do. It just means you don't practice it, or perhaps never even attempted it.

I will never understand how people think Bryson is a egotistical person. He is genuinely a cool guy and an awesome golfer.

Sports media built that identity around him, that’s not who he is, but he definitely feeds into it. DeChambeau is a smart guy and understands playing a character helps him grow in popularity. I believe he’s the next face of golf after Woods and will transform the sport.

Brilliant video. This channel is giving a great insight into how players are behind the scenes when the big cameras are off. They all seem to be genuinely comfortable around you guys which more than can be said about most of the other golf related channels on here. I hope your channel grows and that you are able to keep doing what you are doing !

What a great pro to have a lesson with. The way he explains everything makes it so much easier to visualize.

I’ve been a Bryson fan and now people will see why. This made more sense than any golf instruction video I’ve seen. Can’t wait to apply it tomorrow.

Took me awhile to learn to hit down on the ball. I just could not figure it out. But I never gave up. One day it started happening. The shots felt different, looked different, flew different. Started leaving divots. I could feel compression. My golf game changed that day.

So patient of Bryson... clearly talking to a wall and wasting his time with Joe Cool. I'd have walked away. Seriously. Bordering on rude.

I thought my swing was bad, I feel a lot better after watching Frankie.

Like Bryson says towards the end he’s stalling his hands. The hands need to keep going until the pass the ball. Got to squeeze the ball off the turf.

That's the difference between pros and regular amateurs. Pros can practice the impact on actual turf. Regular Joes don't have that luxury. We're just stuck with misleading mats.

Even after so many pros and other people trying to help Frankie he still cannot his a 50 yard pitch shot. It’s such a simple shot I feel bad for him. He needs someone to tell him how to not be nervous about it. He could be really good and beat Riggs regularly if he could get his head in order.

For the love of god, turn the phone sideways.

To hit down and through the ball put a penny in front of the ball on the target side, and make the penny go to your target after the ball is hit. This makes you stay down and through the shot. Sounds crazy but works.

Kisner’s lesson was way better. Bryson didn’t explain HOW to do anything, just what needs to happen. Still fun to watch.

Literally I think its 100% mental...this isn't a hard shot...you can literally do a putting motion with less loft and he'd have a nice little 50 yard shot...he just refused to believe he can do it

Anybody notice how FAST Frankie's backswing is? There is no tempo. It's ZING-ZING at 100 mph. If you were hammering a nail into a floor board and did that, you'd miss every single time. It's....up......and.......then.......down with the hammer. Same with golf.

This is not a good "lesson." He just repeats "hit down on it" like 40 times. This is the same lesson I give to my unathletic girlfriend once per year when she comes to the driving range with me.
